Patrick listened to her story quietly, his face not changing in expression from anything but concern throughout. Well, save for that one moment where she said she had hit the guy, that got a slight grin, though Patrick quickly caught himself, look of concern returning. As she finished her story Patrick couldn't help but feel that Edward may have actually been in the right for that story. Maybe he had been a little rougher then he should have been, but if that was where the story really ended then Patrick couldn't find anything too wrong. But that didn't make Patrick feel any better about the guy. There were still the bruises on her inner thigh. There was still his creepy little interaction from earlier. Patrick still disliked the guy and was incredibly suspicious of him, but perhaps he hadn't been too out of line at that point. Curious...
When she told him why she liked it out here Patrick smiled, eyes still on the lake. The reasons why she liked the place were things Patrick generally tried to avoid. He had hated the dark and the quiet because it left him alone, with only thoughts and memories, especially when left alone and inactive. Relieving the past, in living nightmares. After he had started seeing his ghosts his dislike of being alone in the dark and silence had only increased, as they seemed to come out more. Patrick found it almost amusing that she was the opposite of him, but different circumstances he figured. But with her beside him, it wasn't so bad.
As she nuzzled into his neck, her warm breath whispered on his skin he'd shiver slightly. Feeling her lips on his neck and her hand on the back of his he'd sigh softly, thinking of what he wanted to say. Not that it was difficult to get the essence of what he wanted to say, but rather the exact wording that was fitting.
Slowly Patrick would turn his head to face her, smiling softly, feeling somewhat foolish that it had taken him this long to figure it out, "There's no where else I'd rather be right now."
A pause given before he'd slowly lean in kissing her on the lips gently, softly, slowly deepening the kiss...

She felt him shiver as her breath washed against his flesh, her lips following suit and a slow smile curling upon them. When he turned his head, she would pull back, those blue eyes meeting his and the smile only increasing as he spoke those words to her. It made her happier than she could have thought possible to know that he wanted to be here, that he wanted to be with her. Sure, that night in the hotel, he had said as much, he had told her he was done running away from her, pushing her away, and she believed him. But that didn't mean that there was not some part of her that held a tiny bit of fear that one day he would change his mind. That one day she would do something, or say something that would make him rethink the entire thing and once more push her away and out of his life.
As he leaned in she felt his lips press against her own, a slight sigh of contentment escaping her before she would lean into the kiss, returning it softly and affectionately....her hand coming up to slowly drag her delicate little fingers along his jawline. As the kiss was deepened, she would follow suit, her small form leaning into his, pressing against him slightly. It never ceased to amaze her that such a simple act with him could set her heart to racing, even after the many, many times she had kissed him before. Each time felt just as amazing, just as wonderful...Hell, she would almost wager that it was better each time than the time before.
Slowly her tongue would graze against his lips, seeking to further deepen the kiss...to taste him once more. A soft, low little moan given at the back of her throat, shivering as she pressed a bit more firmly into him. All thoughts of Edward and anything else that constantly weighed upon her lost to the moment, her mind solely focused upon him and what was happening right here and now.

As the kiss progressed with her small form leaning into him and her soft hand on his jawline, Patrick would move to press himself against her more as well. His arm closest to her wrapping around behind her, slowing snaking its way around her neck and his fingers slipping up into her hair. His arm pulling her deeper into him, deeper into the kiss. Though her sentiment was unspoken, he felt it too. As she kissed him, loved him, he felt alive, more so then he had in a long time. He didn't want to run anymore, cling desperately to life out of nothing more then the seeming virtue of it. He wanted to be with her, he was sure of that. That it wasn't anything but her and he didn't want to take it for granted.
As her tongue grazed against his lips an ever so brief groan would be released as his free hand would move to grasp her shoulder. Holding her closer before his tongue would brush against her lips before pushing past her lips, exploring her mouth, looking for her tongue. Upon finding it his would softly caress hers as his hand on her shoulder would caress her shoulder up and down, feeling her soft warm flesh on his palm and fingers...

She couldn't help but moan a bit more as he deepened the kiss, loving the way it felt to have his tongue caressing her own, to have his arms around her, holding her more tightly against him. Slowly she shift herself back, not out of his arms, but instead laying down and urging him to follow with her so that he was slightly atop of her.
She didn't break the kiss, instead she would just continue to deepen it, one hand now at the back of his head, fingers laced within his hair as she tilted her head a bit to the side. Her dark locks fanning out around her upon the blanket beneath them, she felt the soft breeze wash against them and would shiver just slightly. This moment, this place, being with him....it was perfect...at least in her mind. Despite a small interruption earlier, this entire night had been amazing, at least in her opinion, far better than she had planned as she got dressed for the dance earlier in the evening.....
Her heart racing, she would reach up with her free hand, fingers slowly tracing along his side, sliding beneath his jacket and instead moving along his shirt....eventually falling still and curling within the fabric of his shirt, pulling him down into her. She couldn't help but crave the feeling of his weight upon her, the feel of his body pressing into her. She loved it....and despite everything...she was starting to find herself in love with him.....
She knew that she shouldn't. She knew that she should wait, that she should remind herself of all the times he pushed her away, told her that he didn't want her....That he couldn't want her...But yeah...she just couldn't stop herself from feeling the way she felt...The results of this emotion causing her kiss to become more passionate, more intense.....

As she began to lie back Patrick had to do some shifting to lay down with her while keeping the kiss. But as he did he couldn't help but love the feeling he was having here, loving the closeness, her giving herself to him as he lay somewhat on top of her and to her side. As the kiss deepened his hand on her shoulder slipped past her arm and against her side, on the lace of her dress, though the feel of her body and its warmth not lost on him. As he ran his hand down her side feeling the lace of her dress and the curve of her body he couldn't help but inhale slowly through his nose.
As his hand found its way to her hip he pushed it around letting it slide on her ass, giving a firm squeeze to the cheek be fore sliding up her back. As he made his way up her dress he'd look for a zipper, a button, anything to get her out of the dress. Patrick would give a deep sigh through the kiss as his hand found where her dress left the back exposed allowing his fingers to feel her soft skin as his hand found a button at the top of the dress undoing it.
Even through his shirt he felt her hand on his side, under his jacket, feeling even closer to her now, even before she pulled him further against her still. His chest and stomach now pressed firmly to hers as their lips were still tightly locked together. Patrick loved that they could do this together, not just the physical act of making love but the emotional act as well. He couldn't help but feel this way for her, he had ever since they had first made love, though even that paled when compared to how he felt about her now. He hadn't felt this way since...
Well he hadn't felt this way in a long, long time even though he knew he shouldn't. Patrick could give a hundred reasons why he shouldn't. Why he shouldn't be here, shouldn't be doing this. All the same though, he wanted this. While there had been a significant part of him that wanted her to push him away, so he wouldn't have to risk it, he was glad that she hadn't. And although he was afraid, he really didn't want to be anywhere else right now...

She felt his hand traveling down her side, a small moan released as the feel of his touch was felt even through the lace of her dress. A little gasp, through the kiss, as his hand slid around and gripped her ass before sliding up and along her back.
Her own hand now tugging at his shirt slowly, pulling it free so that her hand could slide up underneath it, fingers delicately tracing along his side and then around to his back, moving upward so that she could lightly trace along the scars upon his back. Affection and tenderness in every touch she delivered upon him....Continuing to deepen the kiss, she found it so easy to lose herself in the moment and in his touch.
A single button of her dress undone she would arch her back just a bit to allow him access to the rest of them, her lips breaking away from his now as she panted lightly for breath, tilting her head and now trailing her lips slowly down along his neck. A soft little nip given, playful in nature as she shifted her body against his, savoring the sensation of his weight upon her, pinning her into the ground beneath them.
"Make love to me..." The heated words whispered lightly against his ear as she moved her free hand along his chest, fingers working to undo his shirt one button at a time, lips moving to his shoulder as she pulled his shirt to the side just slightly. Simple words and yet for her they held more meaning than what one might have thought. For her, it was important...it was special....and it was something she only ever wished to say to him.

As she pulled his shirt free Patrick felt her silken hand on his flesh, giving a little sigh. As her hand began to trace the wings on his back he couldn't help but notice how she was able to really put her affection for him in every touch in a meaningful and substantial way that he could feel. It was rather unique he had to admit. And he loved it. Loved her touch, loved the feel of her skin against his hand, loved her affection for him and he particularly loved how she made him feel wanted, needed.
As she broke the kiss, arching back for him Patrick didn't squander the opportunity, reaching back behind her dress to undo the last two or so buttons. As he did however he felt her lip against his neck, causing him to nuzzle into hers to inhale her soft scent. As she nipped him and shifted her weight against his Patrick gave a strained sigh before grinning and rolling his hips down into hers, teasing her. At the same time though he was also teasing himself, testing his own patience.
"Absolutely baby," Patrick replied lustfully rolling his hips against hers again, his hands sliding to the straps of her dress slowly pulling them down as his plans brushed against her arms. As he did this he playfully nipped at her neck and earlobe. Feeling her undo his shirt and shifting it to the side he would shiver as her soft lips touched his shoulder...

His words made her smile, hands finally finishing in the task of undoing his shirt and now moving to push both it and his jacket off of him so that she could toss them to the side. Once done, she would shift her hands to run along his back, both sets of fingers now slowly tracing along his scars as she returned her lips to his shoulder. Soft kisses, followed by little nips here and there as she shivered at the playful way in which he nipped her neck.
Shifting about so that he could slide the straps of her dress down, she would give a soft little moan to the way his hands felt against her flesh, feeling them as they slowly trailed down her arms from her shoulders. Then he rocked his hips down against her own and she gasped softly, her grip on him tightening just a bit as she returned the favor with a teasing little shift of her own into him. Gods he teased her and despite how badly it toyed with her desire, she loved it.
A little purr of affection as her teeth nipped at his shoulder, her hands sliding down his back, around his sides and to his waist.....following along the line of his pants and her fingers working slowly to undo the button there. Perhaps going a bit slower than she needed, simply drawing it out, teasing him...especially since she felt his hips rock down into her once more.
Eventually though, she would get them undone, then working to pull them down as she trailed her lips over his chest....another gentle moan given to the taste of his flesh upon her lips....Body shifting to allow him to remove her dress completely....No longer able to hold back her desire and need for him....No longer wanting to.....

Patrick shifted his arms so he could slide both his shirt and jacket off. He would give another inhale and a sigh as her fingers now traced over his scars on his exposed back, her lips once again on his shoulders now unhindered by the shirt. As he rocked into her, sliding her dress down he felt her pulling him tighter into her body before giving a teasing rock of her own, making his patience wane as his desire for her grew, giving a soft groan.
As her teeth nipped at her shoulder and her hands seemed to finally make their way down to his pants. Patrick would kiss her neck softly, but not lacking in any passion, impatience slowly getting the better of him. Her teasing making his desire for her grow that much more. As he pulled her dress down and she finally started to slip his pants off, both of their weight shifting to remove their respective articles of clothes. Patrick's hands would clasp hers, fingers intertwining with hers, sliding her arms up, out to the sides before sliding them over her head, pulling her close in his own way before...
Timeskip...
Patrick rolled beside her with a smile. As always it had been perfect, and he was lost in the moment. His arm came up, wrapping around her midsection, holding her close, no real desire to leave or change the closeness he was sharing with her. Despite the weirdness of earlier, that was long since forgotten about and he smiled as he nuzzled her head next to hers whispering in her ear, "Ye really are amazing."

Perhaps she had been imagining it, but she could swear that in the moment she had been able to feel, at least at the very beginning, his impatience and desire increase and then show through in the way that he gripped her and pulled her into him. The way he had laced his fingers with her own only to place her arms over her head, pulling her into him. Perhaps she should tease him a bit more often? Gods knew she could never tire of that, never tire of being with him and of feeling that kind of closeness with him.
Sure, she had been with others. Matrim, Issac....both of which she had cared for at the time, one of which she knew had taken advantage of her and then strung her along in some sick attempt to toy with her emotions and her darker nature. The other, who she had loved in her own way and thought had been somebody she could share something special with....Yet now, as the silence once more closed in around them, and she felt his arm snake around her, pulling her into him. She could not help but think of that time in her life on a much broader scale, memories flooding through her mind, things she had not thought about for some time.
When he spoke, it would draw a lazy yet content smile to her lips, her head tilting as he nuzzled into her, the distinct lilac scent that always seemed to surround her mixing with the air that wafted in from the lake, surrounding them in a thing haze. Turning so that she lay on her side, one hand moving to take up the edge of the blanket to lightly drape across her body, she would curl the other arm under her head, her eyes now lingering upon his.
For a moment, she said nothing in return. Not because she didn't know what to say, but because if she said it wrong, there was a very real chance that it could come out badly and perhaps ruin the moment. Once the blanket edge was slightly draped across her, she would release it from her grip, her hand reaching forth and a single digit trailing over the scar which traveled across his eye. As always, it was perhaps one of the lightest, most tender touches that she could possibly manage and yet never once when she did it, did it lack in her affection for him. She could only assume that it did not bother him, or else he would have said something at this point.
Finally, as the touch continued on, rather slowly, she would find the clearness of mind to say what she had wished to say in response to his words. "Before you....I had only ever been with one other boy....And I had thought, that he had cared and that he had needed me as much as I thought I needed him..." She paused, her finger finishing in its task as she inched forward, her nose lightly brushing against his as she lowered her tone to a whisper, not done with her words, and clear by her tone that there was a point to be made soon enough. "I thought, that being with him had been...special and amazing and that I could never feel that way again....Even after he shamed me in front of my family, even after he used me for the simple pleasure of being able to....well, toy with my darker side....I thought that I would never feel like I did that night...." Her hand now falling to rest upon his cheek as her blue eyes opened, capturing that moonlight all the more with its new position in the sky. A look of pure affection, caring and a hint of something else, something far more significant just beneath the surface. "Then I met you.....and at first, I thought perhaps we could be friends, that I could...in some small way help you to experience life in a way you never had...give you some sort of happy memory to look back on one day. I saw so much pain and...so much death in your eyes. Like whatever was in here..." Her hand falling to his chest where she could still feel the rapid beat of his heart within...."...was taking away your soul, taking away your entire reason for being alive....and I can't explain it, even now....but all I wanted to do was just...try and make it better, try and fix some tiny fragment of that damage and ease just a tiny bit of your pain...Then....when we were laying there beside that pond, after everything that had gone on that day...all I could think about was the fact that I was so very lonely, and that when I looked at you, I saw the same thing...and that perhaps, for a moment, we could not be so lonely."
She paused there, her eyes lowering from his as a blush began to slowly form upon her cheeks. Not so much from the thoughts of the acts they had performed that day, especially considering what the had, quite literally, just got done with here. No, more for the words she was about to confess....Things she had not really spoken out loud before. "I never thought...that when I was with you, it would feel so amazing, that it would...Well that it would reach a part of my, other than the physical, in the way that it did. I...I know that it may not have been the same for you, but in that moment, when we were together, it was as if some part of me, found some part of you....and...I don't know...I can't explain it. But, no matter what I did, or how much I tried after that...I couldn't make it go away....this...this connection."
She knew she was rambling, she knew she was perhaps talking far more than he wanted her to in this moment, and she would apologize once she was done, probably feel very bad once she noted a hint of irritation or a lack of affection in his gaze due to her ruining the moment, so to speak. But she just had to get this off her chest while she was able to form the words. Seeing as how she always seemed to cease in her stuttering after they made love....."Then, I was with Issac and he was great...I loved him....as much as I could....But..." She paused, almost feeling guilty for what she was about to say and yet, strangely enough....not. "But even when I was with him, even when I told myself that I loved him, I knew that it was never going to be all of me.....Because...well because despite everything....a part of me would always belong to you...A part of me that I left with you that day by my Mother's pond.....And until I saw you on that dock, until I felt your lips against mine, your arms around me....I never was quite able to feel truly .......complete..."
She then fell silent, her eyes once more having fallen away and that blush that much more significant upon her pale cheeks. She knew that it was silly, she feared that he might laugh at her, that he might think her a freak or creepy or strange, but she wasn't going to lie to him...She promised herself that much...and she planned to stick by that promise...."I am sorry...I...Well I didn't mean to ruin the mood or to weird you out in some way....I just, I don't ever wish to lie to you....and I wanted you to know, how truly special these times are when we are together....No matter what the future might hold...You, Patrick O'Connor, will always have some piece of me that no other can ever take away."
With that she fell utterly silent and would duck her head a bit more, trying to hide, scared to look into his eyes, scared to see the annoyed, irritated or perhaps confused or "your insane" look that might be held there. Her little hand slowly drawing away from him, scared she might very well have succeeded in pushing him away, and to be honest, she wasn't sure she could really blame him.

Patrick felt her hand on his face, closing his right eye as her finger swept down from his scar, in the manner he had become accustomed to. He really did love when she did that. It felt, special. as her hand moved down to his cheek his green eyes fell upon her blue, looking into them softly as she began to speak, his full attention given to her. The girl he was beginning to fall in love with, though social boundaries would tell him it was far too early to admit that.
He listened to her intently as she began her story. Of the first guy she had been with, she didn't give him a name, but that was really unnecessary. How she had thought she needed him, how he made her feel. And ultimately how he shamed and humiliated her. How she never thought she'd feel like that again. Then the story shifted. To his meeting her. How she simply wanted to help him shen she first met him. Like a pity case or something, well not that diminutive but she wanted to help him. And Patrick had appreciated that deeply, hell he tore a rampage throughout the city because of that act. Her hand touched his chest as she went on to explain that while she originally wanted to help him, it became more then that.
Patrick couldn't have put it any better then the thought that they might have been able to not be so lonely anymore. She discussed the connection that she felt, that she couldn't make go away. Patrick had felt it too. He had genuinely liked her. But he's thoughts and actions bid them apart. Unlike her, he was good at killing himself, to do what was necessary, or what he deemed to be so. Something that had gotten him into trouble there. He still felt guilty about that, but he was glad that they could be together. And although guilt may have briefly crossed his eyes, affection would never fade from them, even as she continued.
About Issac, the boy she dated after Patrick had pushed her away. As painful as it had been for him he had bore it. At the time it had been necessary. Although he couldn't help but smile softly when she said that he had a piece with her. That she had never stopped caring for him. That a part of her belonged with him and that he made her feel complete. He smiled softly at that, affection all the more evident in his eyes. She tried to apologize for ruining the moment but that didn't change anything. She didn't ruin the moment, if anything she had just made it that much more special. His smile widening as she used his name and told him that he had a piece of her that no one could ever take away.
After a long pause, where his eye would never break from hers his hand would rise up, cupping her cheek, and chin raising her eyes to him. It had taken him a moment to gather his words, and they weren't nearly as eloquent as hers, but they were how he felt all the same, "When I first met ye, that day. Ye were nice. But when I agreed to go with ye I figured, what the hell? No one had ever offered to do that for me. So I went with ye thinking ye were different, but not so different from everyone else. But as the day progress, well my opinion changed. Ye were probably one of the nicest people I had met. No one had done anything like that for me in a long time. I'm not going to lie to ye now, I felt that connection to, by the pond. Ye touched me more then just that physical act."
"It scared me," his eyes would part from her, dropping down for a moment, "It challenged everything that I believed up until that point. So I pushed ye away, I ran, something that I've gotten real good at over the years. But I never stopped caring about ye. It wasn't until ye were taken away that I realized what ye did to me."
"Ye made me consider that it might be okay for me to live again," Patrick said with a pause, "That maybe there could be more to my existence then there was.."
Patrick paused one more time before stroking her cheek softly, "Kazumi Baedor, ye make me want to try living again. When I'm with ye there's more to me then a soulless killer. Ye make me want more then that..."

As his hand fell to her cheek, urging her to look up at him, she would do so with a hint of reluctance, almost afraid of what look she would see within those green eyes of his. But when she saw the affection, the happiness, it set her at ease almost instantly. A slow and soft little smile curling upon her lips as she rested her head upon her arm once more and allowed her eyes to flutter closed for a moment, savoring the feel of his warm hand against her cheek.
Yet when he began to speak, she would again open her eyes, giving him her full and undivided attention as he told her what his point of view had been that day. Still, even though she had sort of guessed it from the beginning, it bothered her that nobody else had ever tried to do for him what she had. It had been so simple, just a plain and ordinary act of having fun, of be a little reckless and of leaving the rest of the world behind for an afternoon. For her, it had really not been that big of a deal and yet she had know, as they laid there by that pond that day, that it had meant something to him.
She stayed silent however, letting him finish what he had to say, about how he had felt that connection too, about how she had managed to reach him and touch him in a way that exceeded just the physical act of making love. The very same thing he had done for her. Though when he said it, it sounded like so much more than she had ever thought she could have given to him.
Then came the part of why he had pushed her away, his eyes lowering and her hand slowly sliding upward along his chest and to his neck, not forcing him to look at her, but just gently tracing along his flesh there. Giving him all the time he needed to gather himself before his eyes would return to her own. When they did, she could still see the affection, the emotion within them and she could still hear it in the way that he spoke to her.
Only when he had finished, once she was certain that he had gotten it all off his chest, would she inch her way closer to him. The tip of her nose softly brushed against his as her eyes fell closed, forehead pressing lightly onto his own and her fingers now resting against his jawline so that her thumb could delicately caress his cheek. When she spoke, it was a mere whisper, a warm breath against his lips and nothing more.
Even though nobody else was around to hear it....these were words that she intended for his ears, his heart alone..."Whenever I look at you, even back then, not once have I seen a soulless killer who doesn't deserve the chance to live, to be happy, to be.....human. I know that I do not know everything you have done in your past. I know that there are likely things that might very well shock me, scare me or perhaps even upset me....But those acts do not define who you are."
Her thumb slowly began to trail along the cheekbone, tracing the lines of his face ever so softly. "Yes, I understand that they are a big part of who you are...But that's just it...They are a part and nothing more. You deserve the chance to live just like everyone else....to be happy...to love." She paused upon that word. Her heart racing just a bit as she thought of her own feelings for him, yet she held back, scared of what he would think to hear such things from her so soon. "But this, this right here, the man you are right this moment...This is another part of who you are...and to me it is nothing short of amazing. Its what I saw in your eyes the first time we made love, just a glimpse....but it was there....and it was why no matter what you did, no matter how hard you tried to drive me away....I never gave up on you..."
She leaned in just a bit more, lips so very close to his own now as she drew in a soft breath which contained a mixture of his scent along with that always present lilac scent she carried. "It is why I will never give up on you....I see beyond the killer...." Her lips lightly brushing his as she gave a soft little sigh of compete contentment. "I see you..."
She wasn't sure that her words would make sense to him, as was so often the case when she tried to articulate what was in her heart and in her mind. But they meant a lot to her....For now, she would remain silent, her lips hovering just mere millimeters away from his, her warm sweet breath washing over him....She wanted so badly to say those three words, the ones that seemed to scare everyone so badly.....but she held back....She knew it was not the right time or place....and as much as it killed her, she locked them away....For now.

He saw and felt her inch her way closer to him. She felt as her soft little nose brushed up against his and her forehead on his own. Her hand on his jawline, her thumb caressing his cheek. Patrick always loved her touch, soft and affectionate. Her whispers and warm breath against her lips as she spoke. Patrick couldn't help but smile when she spoke, telling him how she saw him. As more then the soulless killer he had played for so long, been for so long. He couldn't help but be grateful as she told him that his actions didn't define who he was, even the ones that would frighten and upset her, which he was sure he could do. Patrick didn't know if he believed that but he appreciated the sentiment all the same.
She stroked his face softly as she told him that though his action may be a big part of who he was, they were only a part. That made him happy. To know that she believed in him. Saw more. Because he sure as hell didn't. Patrick didn't think he deserved to be happy, to love, not after what he had done. But he wasn't going to argue here, not now. He was happy that she seemed to think he deserved that though.
She thought that this part of him was amazing, huh? It was what she saw in him, even that first time, when he had hid so much and tried to push her away. Once again he was glad that she saw it, happy even, because he couldn't. But perhaps that was what this was about huh? He was willing to give it a shot. To continue becoming who she saw because the truth was, he didn't want to be the soulless killer anymore. He was tired of that game and didn't want anything to do with it anymore. He just wanted to live in peace. But he was glad she had seen that there was a side of him that wasn't the killer, and glad that she hadn't given up on him when perhaps she should have.
She moved in closer, their lips practically brushing as he inhaled her scent, smelling the lilacs. Patrick gave her a warm smile as she told him she wouldn't give up on him, because she saw the real him, beyond the killer. It was something that Patrick wasn't sure quite existed anymore, but he was happy to indulge in that thought.
Smiling softly again before whispering back he'd say, "Thank ye. Thanks for seeing that in me when I can't see it myself."
With that he'd lean in and kiss her on the lips, softly, gently, lingering...

She smiled lightly when he thanked her, his lips pressing into her own and cutting off any words she might have thought to speak. Slowly her fingers would slide from his cheek, down his neck and then around to the back of his head, fingers lacing through his hair, slowly and affectionately brushing through it as she returned that kiss.
Finally, after a long moment she would break away, if only for a second to whisper lightly in return to his words. "You don't have to thank me....I will never give up on you baby....Never.." Perhaps the words would have seemed empty coming from somebody else, just things that were spoken in the heat of the moment. Something lovers said to draw upon whatever emotions the moment had bred....But from her, it was all too clear that she was telling the truth, and if past was any indicator, it would only confirm her statement. Because even when he had tried so hard to push her away, she had never once given up on him....Even though he may have wanted her to.....
Once more her lips pressed against his own. A soft little sigh released before she would deepen the kiss, shivering ever so slightly as the cool breeze washed over them, only causing her to press into him that much more. She loved him....She knew that deep down inside her heart, but she just couldn't bring herself to say the words right now....She just couldn't risk pushing him away.....She needed him far too badly. She just hoped he understood how badly she did.
Slowly her hand slid down along his arm, nails ever so slightly grazing his along his flesh...So utterly and completely content in this moment and wishing that it never had to end. But then, she so often felt that way when she was alone with him like this. Truth be told, in her hectic life, these moments with him were the only time that she ever felt normal anymore. They were the only times she felt safe, felt.....needed and loved to this degree. It was the only time that she ever felt she really mattered anymore.....Because before she had found him, she had felt as though her existence was pointless, as though she didn't matter in her own life.....But when she was in his arms....that changed and for the time they were together, she truly felt as though she did belong....
A soft little whimper released against that kiss, both as a mixture of her desire for the moment to continue and as a result of her thoughts on how lost she was without him....Not sure that he understood just what he meant to her....Not sure he understood just how important he was.....

He felt her hand run through his hair as she returned the kiss. After a moment when she'd break the kiss Patrick would look on her with a smile on his face. As she told him she'd never give up on him he'd smile. That meant a lot to him, because he knew that he was a person that required an ample amount of patience. And he knew that she meant what she'd said. Even after all the times he had tried to run from her, the fact that she still tried, still cared led him to believe, no, to know that her words were more then just lip service.
Her lips would press against his once more and he'd return, building and deepening the kiss slowly, lost in the tender moment that they were having. That being said though he wasn't so far gone that he didn't notice her shiver and her pressing into him further. And so with that Patrick's hand would leave her side, reaching back to grab his side of the blanket, throwing it over him and her as well, pressing further against her as he did so, deepening the kiss, introducing his tongue to her lips once again.
As the kiss continued Patrick would bring both of his hand up, wrapping them around behind her head, fingers slipping into her soft hair. Doing this he would roll on top of her once again, tightening the wrap of the blanket around them as well as making this little moment far more intimate again, slowly deepening the kiss even further, exploring her mouth with his tongue.
And though she didn't know it, nor did he for he for that matter, he felt the same way. He just didn't want to go and wreck things up by saying those big three words too early. He just didn't want to risk it, he loved her, er cared for her too much to risk it at this point...
