When he answered her first question she could hear in his voice how true those words were, only proving to make her feel that much worse that she could not bring herself to look at him or that she could not remember him. She should be able to right? To remember the one that loved her so much? Not to mention she shouldn't be sitting here feeling guilty about it for worry that it might possibly not be the person she felt that deep seated longing for, not with that kind of emotion in place. Yet she did just the same. "And....I love you?" She wasn't sure that he could really affirm or deny that for her, but she assumed he could tell her if he thought that she loved him. Right?
Then came the explanation about the man who had done this to her, making her tremble slightly as she sniffled back a few more tears and tried not to let herself get too upset over it. But it was hard, because she was scared and she didn't understand how a person could want to make another suffer like this, to feel this kind of pain that she felt now.
Not that she had long to dwell on that before the pain started in her stomach, now forcing her onto her side on the bed, curling up and begging him to make it stop. The tears she had been trying to hold back no longer restrained, instead spilling down her face. When his hand reached out, she would tense up slightly, not sure if she wanted him to touch her or not...Though she didn't pull away, because almost as soon as the question posed itself in her mind, came the resounding "yes" that followed. Her eyes falling closed as she felt him brush her hair back from her face...Something about the way that he did it seeming so familiar, even if she could not recall to mind a single time in which he had touched her like that before.
She thought to ask, she thought to try and get him to help her with the memory that she knew she must have somewhere....but the pain was too much and when he turned away upon hearing her pleas she almost thought he was going to leave her like this...Yet then he turned back and she saw the blood moments before that arm was pressed against her lips. Initially she thought to pull her head away, because she honestly had no idea what was going on or why he would do such a thing...But she couldn't manage the strength to do so.
So, she thought to open her mouth in protest...but when she did, the blood seeped past her lips and onto her tongue and though she didn't understand it, she found herself shivering and growling just slightly, tongue tracing along that cut he had created in his flesh. Once more those eyes closed, a soft little sigh of contentment passing her lips, against his arm as she instinctively drank down his blood.
It didn't make sense to her, but it tasted so good and it seemed to ease a bit of the pain in her stomach....in her mind. Before she knew what was happening, she was drinking it down a bit more hungrily, a bit more greedily....one small hand coming up to pull his arm into her. Though her mind was not thinking about what she was doing, her fingers would begin to trace along his flesh. To be honest, it meant nothing to her in this moment, she saw nothing special in the way she did it...but in reality it was the same way she would always trace her fingers along his flesh....idle little circles over his skin....moving down along his arm while holding him to her.....A show of both how she felt for him as well as how much she needed this.
Then, after a few minutes she would turn her head away, panting softly as she tried to clean her lips of the blood that now coated them, a bit of it making its way down her chin. The pain in her stomach having subsided for the most part, though she still felt rather off, still felt out of place and sick. "I wan....want to remember you..." A little sigh as she would pull her hand away him now, allowing him to move away if he so chose to do so..."I feel...in here..." She pressed her hand to her chest weakly..."...that I do, but I can't up here.." She touched her head before letting her hand fall limply to her side.

"Yeah, ye do," Patrick chuckled slightly at her questioned remark, "Unless yer the best liar the world's ever seen. If that's the case, can ye give me lessons?"
It was the truth. Patrick had felt it whenever he had been in her presence. She loved him unconditionally, and it had shown, in everything she did. She had picked him up and dragged his ass to a hotel while he had been piss ass drunk. Followed him to his old house another time when he had been talking to his ghosts. Everytime she spoke to him or touched him. Stayed as his friend for what, a year and a half now? Been his girlfriend for almost 5 months. Hell if she was lying to him, she was a hell of a liar, seeing as she couldn't really lie to him earlier today. And if she was, Patrick honestly wanted to know why? And what for? Because she was playing one hell of a long game if that was the case.
Patrick watched her with a careful smile as he touched her. While he had to touch her he wanted to be extremely careful with this. She was still in a very fragile state and Patrick didn't want to risk anything that might hurt her "healing" here. He noted her hesitance, but he had gone forward anyway. Smiling as she seemed to reacted with a degree of familiarity, though he could still tell she didn't recognize him. But hey, that was progress right?
When he initially pressed his arm to her lips he saw her fear and uncertainty. Patrick frowned slightly, figuring that in this sense her mind must have reverted back to it's "Earth" conditioning. To where she didn't know that she needed the blood. Patrick thought he was going to have to do something to encourage her to drink because it looked like she was going to pull away, or make some sort of protest, but as she opened her lips he saw a little dribble into her mouth. As soon as that blood entered her mouth, something inside of her must have clicked because he felt her tongue on his cut and soon after that she started drinking it, seemingly more out of instinct then desire, although that was the way it had happened the first time too. A smile crossing Patrick's face as one hand came up to grab his arm pulling him in further so she could drink.
What really surprised Patrick though was how she touched him. Her free hand tracing his flesh and scars in a manner that he had become very accustomed to. The way she did whenever they were intimate or simply whenever she felt she needed contact with him. It was a very intimate thing though, very affectionate, and not that Patrick minded here, he was just incredibly curious what exactly was going through her mind right now. Because even as she did this there was more then rote memorized actions going on here. He could tell that there was actual feeling placed in this action here.
When she finally pulled away Patrick would give her a warm smile as the blood continued is flow down his arm, slowing up but still rolling down his arm. He smile warmly at her as she told him how she felt, how she remembered, softly catching her hand as she let it fall limp. Continuing to smile he'd place her hand on his face, on that scar that she had traced oh so many times, softly saying, "It's okay. I promised ye one time that if ye were ever lost or taken I'd to what ever it took to find ye, no matter how far I had to go or how long it took. Even if ye got lost in here."
Patrick let go of her hand and lightly touched her forehead as if to emphasize that point...

When he caught her hand that fell away, she would tense up slightly, unsure of what he meant to do. Yet something inside her kept her from trying to pull away, and instead allowing him to pull her hand toward himself. It was only when she felt him pressing her fingers against his face that she would finally raise those big bright eyes to look toward his own....something she had been avoiding up until now.
The feeling she got when she did this though, the sense of knowing, that alone caused her breath to catch in her throat as she felt her heart trying to seize within her chest. It hurt, so much more than any one person could imagine, and yet as he continued to speak, she couldn't help but furrow her brow just slightly. Something was nagging at her, pulling at the corners of her mind, telling her to do something....though she didn't know what just yet.
"You promised...." Speaking the words rather softly as she tilted her head a bit to the side, fingers hesitant to stay in place against his face though she would force herself to remain still. Even once he let go of her hand and touched her forehead she would not pull away. Instead, her hand would linger there as she watched him, her eyes focusing on his as she struggled so hard to remember something, anything....All she needed was just a single memory, something to remind her of why she felt the way she felt.
Eventually, her hand would start to pull away, though as it did, that sense of needing to do something seemed to increase...Like she was forgetting something, though she had no clue what that was....Her eyes turning away as she gave a rather frustrated sigh, so out of it and so tired that she was ready to just stop trying for now....then, without much warning she would turn back, tears once again filling those bright eyes of her and a choked little sob escaping past her lips. "And I promised I would never leave you...." Her finger slowly tracing along the scar that crossed his eye as she said those words....Not only emotions of hurt and longing, but also ones of love and for the first time, recognition.
"Baby?" A little whimper as her hand fell away, looking at him now as though she was seeing him for the first time since he showed up to get her from that place, and in reality, it kind of was the first time. Yet the utter confusion and pain remained in her eyes, scared....so very scared...of what was happening, of why she couldn't remember....of the way her body felt....

Patrick would smile as she raised her eyes to him, looking at him as he pressed her soft little hand to his face. It looked as if she was in pain looking at him, unsure as to why. Knowing that she should recognize him, but unable to, as if that was painful in of itself. Her brows furrowing as it looked like she was desperately trying to remember who he was, more then just in her heart, but to really feel it in both her mind and heart. To remember. Listening to her as she vocalized him promising, desperately trying to remember it for herself. As she looked on at him, getting nothing but a warm smile back from him as he patiently waited, and would continue to do so, no matter how long it took.
As Patrick let go of her hand he saw her, felt her keep her hand on his face. Struggling even more desperately to try and remember something, any small memory it seemed. Something that explained or backed up the feelings that she had for him, but no memories of. Frustration crossed her face as he felt the touch on his begin to lighten as she tried to pull back. Final bit of frustration given as she looked away from his face. Patrick figured that his little ploy might have failed, until without much of a warning or transition tears began running down her face as she turned back to him, reiterating that promise she had made to him, oh so long ago. Recognition and love being the two new looks added to the assortment of emotions on her face. Her finger now tracing his scar in that special way.
Closing his eye a deep smile would cross his face as a manly tear of joy ran from the eye her finger had traced over. He didn't know how much she remembered, how much she had gotten back but she had gotten back enough to know that it was him, her pet name for him proof of that. Though in her eyes he could still see the fear in them, as well as the confusion and pain. Patrick would smile as his hand stretched out to stroke her hair saying, "I love ye so much Kazumi."

She felt his hand brushing through her hair and would sigh softly, allowing her eyes to fall closed as she would tilt her head just a bit so that she could nuzzle into his hand. Eyes opening once more, she saw that tear that escaped and her hand would raise, fingertips lightly brushing it away and a little whimper being held back. "Baby I am scared...." She didn't know much of anything about herself or about him, she just knew the basics stuff, the key facts that made him stand out in her mind.
"Everything is so...jumbled...and I cant remember...I just..." She sighed, turning her head away as she struggled to roll over onto her side. She was weak and everything was so fuzzy. Not just her memories but her waking thoughts, hell, even her emotions were a tad bit weaker than what they normally were. "I love you too...." Even in this confused state she meant it. It was the only thing that felt right to her anymore, the only thing that made sense, even if that in and of itself didn't make any sense.
Finally giving up on turning to her side, she would once more allow those eyes to look up to him, the amethyst fading into a bright, deep blue shade as she would sniffle and try her best to hold back more tears from falling. "Patrick....t...there's something wrong with me..." She would say this even as a thin layer of sweat began to form across her brow and neck....Swallowing hard past a lump in her throat she would reach out and take his hand, weakly pulling it to her face so that she could nuzzle into his touch before pressing her lips against his palm....She just wanted to feel him, even if it made no sense in the moment. She just needed to....

Patrick couldn't help but widen his smile as she brushed that tear away. It wasn't a bad tear but he was happy for the contact anyway. It was comforting and he enjoyed it, even if she was still the one in desperate need of comfort right now. As she told him how scared she was Patrick would reaching his hand up once again, cupping her cheek softly saying reassuringly, "I know Kazumi, but everything's going to be okay now."
He watched her silently as she turned her head away, trying to roll over on her side, but ultimately unable to. Speaking once again to him, this time about her mind Patrick listened as she confirmed what he had been guessing all along. Though he wasn't as worried about it as she was. He figured that like this it would all come back, how soon? He wasn't able to tell, but he figured her remembering him would be like the leak in the dam. Breaking open little by little until the river burst through. Voicing his opinion gently, "I think that it will all come back to ye. Slowly maybe, but now that ye remember me, I think it will."
Patrick smiled as she told him that she loved him. He knew that she meant it. That she wasn't just trying to force a memory or something. She was confused, and uncertain, but she meant it and that meant the world to him. Just hearing her say that, well, it was funny how much it could touch him. He never thought that it would be able to, especially after everything that had happened.
Patrick continued to smile as she ceased trying to turn. Watching her eyes fade into that oceanic blue color he figured that she was finally calming down. That was good, and the thought brought relief to Patrick, though it would turn into a frown as she told him there was something wrong with him. Patrick watched her begin to sweat and swallow hard as she grasped his hand, pulling it to her face. Letting his palm rest on her lips Patrick was curious. He wasn't entirely sure what she meant, though he was beginning to have ideas. He couldn't be sure though, so he was would assume that she meant about her memory, not wanting to drag out the other issue right now, just in case he was wrong. Still though, his free hand drifted to his pocket as he said reassuringly, "There's nothing wrong with ye Kazumi. Just the drugs that that man gave ye. Ye'll be fine, I've got ye now."

Her stomach turned as she nuzzled against his touch. She didn't know what was wrong with her, but whatever it was, it was getting worse. Whimpering slightly she would nod to his reassurances, trying to allow herself to believe them as she softly bit down upon her bottom lip and ran her free hand along her stomach. "I...hope so..."
Yes, that was all she could really do at this point, hope that her memory would return because no matter how much she tried right now to force it, it just wasn't working. Wincing slightly as a jolt of pain shot through her head, and as she felt that sick, clammy feeling starting to set in, she would release his hand, eyes closing as she drew in a few soft, shaky breaths to try and settle herself. "No...its...its something else..." She had it right there, the memory so close that she could just about see it, and yet it was so hard to get to.
Reaching up, she would press her hands against the sides of her head, that aching starting to increase as did the sickness in her stomach.....Letting her hands fall away she would push herself up into a seated position, taking awhile to actually achieve it due to the fact that she could barely support her own weight right now....Those eyes turning toward him as she would shake her head slightly. "Please...t..tell me what is wrong with me..." She didn't know but she figured if he was her boyfriend, like she now knew him to be, then he had to know right?
She didn't know. But either way she had to ask. Little fingers curling into the sheets as she struggled to stay in her current position, breathing growing a little more ragged now and the sweat starting to roll down the sides of her face, plastering bits of her hair to her forehead and a bit of it against her neck.

Patrick watched her as she nuzzled into his touch, seeing her free hand move to her stomach as she said she hoped so. That seemed to indicate, at least to Patrick, that it was her pregnancy that she was referring to as something being wrong with her. It was a stretch, maybe, but it was one that Patrick was making. Just his thing, at the very least it was an informed stretch. To Patrick his theory seemed that much more confirmed to him when she said that it was something else. Something beyond what that man had done to her. Yeah that was definitely it, she was referring to the fact that she was pregnant. But there was something different here.
She didn't remember that she was pregnant it would seem. The look in her eyes telling him everything. She knew something was off but she just couldn't put her finger on it. Now that, that was strange. Patrick couldn't imagine having another living being in your body and being able to forget about that. Not like it was her choice though, it was just very weird. In Patrick's humble opinion that is. He watched as he hands went to her head before she forced herself up into a seated position.
"Please...t..tell me what is wro-"
"Shh," Patrick would hush her, putting a finger to her lip while trying to comfort her. As he did so he'd pull the picture out of his pocket, the one that showed that she was pregnant, the ultra sound picture, showing it to her he'd continue, "There's nothing wrong with ye Kazumi."
He'd smile softly to tell her that it was okay. That there was nothing wrong with her and that he wasn't mad in the least. He had read her journal, he had known her fears of telling him before this night. He wanted his smile and his touch to reassure her, just in care her memories of that fear and uncertainty came back, to reassure her that he wasn't going to leave her. No, much to the contrary he wanted to stay with her, forever now. Much to that contrary he knew now more then ever that they were connected for life. He wasn't going to leave her, or his child.
Patrick smiled softly as his finger on her lips was removed and his hand moved to stroke her cheek. Reassuringly. He wasn't sure where things were going, he had a few good ideas. Things he wanted but this was still foreign water to him...

She fell silent as he pressed his finger against her lips, brow raising in confusion as she watched him produce a photo or something of the like for her to look at. Of course, she looked at him first, trying to figure out what he was smiling about, especially considering she was pretty certain that something was wrong with her. Though when her eyes went to the image he held in his hand pretty much everything else going on in her head seemed to cease. What had been a mad grasp for any and all information she could manage, seemed to just...stop...as eyes lingered upon that photo.
Slowly, her hand would reach out, fingers lightly touching upon it as she felt tears welling up in her eyes, though it wasn't so much from sadness as it was happiness and well, shock. Though not long after her hand had touched upon the image would a flood of thoughts come racing to her mind, a barrage of images that caused her to gasp slightly, her hand snapping back as though the photo had reached out and bitten her or something.
Eyes widening, she would slowly turn her eyes toward him, her lower lip trembling as she shook her head. "I was...I was going to tell you baby. I swear. I just...I was so scared. I c...cant remember why but I just remember thinking that....that...." She paused, her hand rubbing her temple as she tried to finish the thought, so close to the memory and just needing to focus....".....that maybe your past wouldn't let you have....have this future..." Her small hand falling to her stomach as she would look at him a bit timidly. She didn't have a clue why she had thought that at the time, but she hoped he would understand what she meant. Hoped it would make sense to him.
Panting still, trying to maintain some form of steady breath, she would close her eyes the dizziness hitting her once more, though she would quickly force her gaze back upon them. "I was scared....that you couldn't bring yourself to...to live that kind of life with me, that you...you would leave..." Her tone dropping down to just above a whisper and her breath shaky, the sweat continuing to form across her features...fingers trembling lightly.

Patrick watched as the look in her eyes changed so drastically. Going from that look of mad desperation to remember anything, everything, to just stopping when she saw the photo. Staring at the photo as if it were the long awaited prize, as if it were what she had been searching for for so long and for so hard. Slowly her hand would reach out as if reaching out for that piece that would put her back together. Patrick smiled as the tears streamed down her eyes, knowing that they were filled with a degree of happiness. But it was when her hands touched that photo, that there was a degree of shock that crossed her face. Memories visibly flooded back into her head, her hand snapping back, almost as if there was an unexpected horror in the prize. One that had not been foreseen.
Patrick frowned at her words, his hand continuing to softly stroke her cheek. Frowning because of how scared she had been, of how scared she still seemed to be. But that didn't matter to him. He had no intention of leaving her, he was just sorry that she had gone through the fear on her own. He knew his past still had some significant ghosts still. At the time he was still seeing Zea, hell he wasn't sure he had stopped seeing her. But One thing was for certian, past or no, he wanted her more then anything, and he wouldn't just leave her because she had a child, especially his child. But as Patrick looked at Kazumi, now stroking her hair it was clear that he wasn't going to leave. More so, Patrick felt different, though he didn't know how, he just couldn't place it.
As she panted to regain her breath again before telling him again why she was scared, that she thought he was going to leave her, leave them Patrick simply smiled. Leaning down to lightly kiss her on the forehead before wrapping his arms around her and whispering in her ear, "I'm not ever going to leave ye Kazumi. I want this kind of a life with ye. More then anything."
But really, what was it? That feeling that Patrick had, no, he wasn't even sure it was a feeling. He couldn't tell really. But there was something very different now, and he wasn't sure it was the child...

She would look at him, biting her lip as she felt his hand softly continuing to stroke her cheek. She felt bad, even though she didn't know why she felt so horrible she still did. Yet the more that she watched him, looked into his eyes and felt that hand upon her...the more she realized that he was not angry with her, which had been one of the first thoughts that came to mind...Trying to swallow past the dryness that was forming in her throat, she would blink back a few more tears, eyes falling closed as his hand moved and stroked softly through her hair.
"I have just been so scared....so...alone.." She didn't say the words to hurt him, and to be honest they had so much more meaning than that which the seemed to carry. She had not been alone in the sense that she didn't feel happy and content to be with him, but inside, in her mind and heart she had felt alone in this situation, with the baby. She knew that much...The emotional aspect of her memories seeming to come back much more easily than the images themselves, though she believed him when he told her that it would just take time.
As he wrapped her into his arms, for the first time since she had woken up, she would not tense nor try to resist the comfort she felt in his touch, instead simply allowing herself to be pulled into him as she gave a soft, sigh and would allow one hand to rest carefully upon her lower abdomen. As he held her though, he would be able to tell that her body temperature was lower than normal. In fact, she felt down right cool to the touch, despite the sweat that was covering her and which had already begun to soak the ends of her hair. Her head coming to rest against his chest, she would listen to his words, nodding slightly. "Okay baby...." Her mind slowing down now as she gave a short, weak sigh, completely unaware of the fact that her body was trembling just slightly. "I...I hope that the stuff he gave me doesnt hurt the baby..." Genuine concern in her tone, even if her words were a bit more slurred than before and much weaker.....Her weight seeming to grow heavier as he held her against him.

"I'm sorry," Patrick said softly still holding her, about her being scared and alone, "Ye don't have to be. Ye can tell me anything. But it's okay now. We're all going to be okay now, the three of us."
Patrick knew what she meant. He knew that she wasn't referring to him as if he wasn't enough. She had been referring solely to the situation about the baby. That she had felt so alone, scared to tell him because of that fear. Though Patrick had to admit that it had stung a little. After all they had been through, Patrick had said he wasn't running anymore. At the same time though it had been a hectic past few months. And she had her concerns about his drinking and drug use. So he really couldn't be mad at her. Nor was he. He was just glad that her and the child were alright.
As he held her in his arms he couldn't help but notice that she felt really cold. Why? That was a question he wasn't sure of. The initial answer seemed to be the drugs, but could it have something to do with her being pregnant? Patrick honestly didn't know. He knew nothing about pregnancy when it came to stuff like that. Sure, he knew a few odds and ends but nothing about that. Still though, Patrick's money was on the drugs. As Patrick worried about that though he began to feel her start to tremble as she spoke. He figured that it was just the chills from her lowered temperature, but he figured that he should still take care of that soon. First though he'd softly reply to her concern, "I don't think that they will love. He would have wanted the child and would have figured it out fairly fast. But don't worry, he's not a problem anymore."
"Yer cold," Patrick would say, still holding her close, "I think ye should lie down and get some rest, wrap yerself up in a blanket. We'll have plenty of time to talk."
Although, without her saying anything Patrick would grab the comforter and wrap it around her snugly as he once again wrapped his arm around her with a sigh. Things were okay now, right? It sure seemed that way to him. That they'd slowly begin to get better...

She would give a little whimper when he made mention of the guy wanting the baby, her fingers curling over her stomach as she bit down on her lower lip...finding herself trying to curl into him a bit more, feeling that it was safer there, with him than it was anywhere else. Yet she couldn't move too much, seeing as how she was so tired and her body just didn't want to work for her.
Then he commented on how cold she was, and she would nod slightly. She figured that it was due to the drugs, though with so many holes in her memory she honestly could not have been sure. Either way she wouldn't protest as he wrapped her up in the comforter and then laid her down, wrapping his arms around her. She would whimper slightly, her trembling growing worse even as she slowly felt herself starting to slip into a rather heavy sleep. "I...love y...you..."
The words came out a bit shaky as she was now having trouble due to her body shaking...Though not long after she had said them, she would be out....That, however, did not cease the shaking, which only continued to increase a little more at a time as the sweat continued to coat her body, soaking into the blankets and soaking through her hair. Every now and then she would gasp, or whimper....and though her breathing stayed somewhat stable, she began to pale a bit and she continued to remain chilled to the touch. Perhaps not as bad as before, but still no near her normal temperature....Every now and again a few coughs or groans of pain would escape, or a series of muttered words would be forced forth yet never really anything that could be understood.

As she whimpered at the mention of the guy wanting their child Patrick placed his hand on her stomach, rubbing it reassuringly. The man was dead. No such thing would be happening, not now, not ever. As Patrick rubbed her stomach he had to admit it was a weird feeling that came over him. He didn't quite know how to describe it. It wasn't that he was hesitant, or didn't want the child. No, he wasn't expecting it. Not out of some sort of childish sense of immortality, invincibility or what have you. It was just never something he had considered before. And now it was so very clearly upon him. It was strange.
He smiled at her as he laid her down. Patrick couldn't help but feel a sense of pride and he didn't know why. He couldn't place it really. Was it because he was going to be a father? Was it because he had saved Kazumi, tracking her down in a record time. He honestly didn't know. As she trembled in his arms Patrick lied down was her wrapping his arm around her, face nuzzled behind her head. His arm he couldn't help but wrap around her stomach, hand resting where their child rest. Whispering softly in reply, "I love ye too Kazumi."
As he felt her drift into sleep Patrick couldn't help but feel at ease, though he was starting to process the days events. More particularly the big revelation. He had found out hours ago, but he hadn't had the time to process it until now. It felt strange. The idea of him being a father. It seemed to him like such a foreign concept. He couldn't help but feel a little bit of fear. How could he be a good dad? Him the killer. Then again, he had killed the man who apparently had his file. Did that mean he was free? Would they still have to run? Patrick hoped more then anything that he was free. That the man he had shot had been his last kill. He was tired of this life. It wasn't the world he wished to bring his child into. Where its father was a killer. Patrick knew that it was going to be born into an interesting family situation regardless. But he couldn't help but be hopeful. He wanted to make sure that unlike him, his child had a family.
But once again, he couldn't help but feel that this was all so surreal...

She felt his hand upon her stomach and she would feel a rush of ease wash over her. A little sigh given as she would close her eyes and allow herself to drift off, catching the sound of his voice as he nuzzled into her, once more that sense of familiarity hitting her and yet the memories that brought it about did not come. She hated this, the emptiness of knowing, the hazy memories that you knew were there but that you could not reach just yet.
Still, she didn't have the strength to avoid passing out, and so when she did, she would lay there, no real dreams coming to her, but instead flashes of different images, different things that had happened to her at one point or another. Memories, however small were coming forth it was just not making a whole lot of sense, especially since none of them really seemed to follow any set pattern. No, it was just random things, ones of her as a child, some of her and her brothers, a few of her moms. Then there were those that had him in them, memories of their meeting, of the dance of several of their late night talks....It was just snippets of whole memories, but they were something at least.
Outwardly, she was still shaking and her body was still struggling to sweat out the toxin that was so thickly laced within her blood. Every now and then she would whimper, coughing a bit and seeming to cringe a little in pain. Though without even knowing it, her hand would slowly fall down upon her stomach, coming to rest upon his which was already there. The memories of the baby starting to come back, at least in her dream state...Or more so the fears of being pregnant, of telling him....the fears of how his past and her own past would effect the child....Not that she was sure what that meant at the moment, but it was coming back, just really, really slowly.
After a few hours of sleep, she would wake up. Not so much because she wanted to, but because she was soaked, and because of the fact that now that the drug was wearing off, she was starting to feel more emotions, more antsy and more confused....Add to that, the fact that the stress from the past day or so was only proving to upset her stomach due to the pregnancy and yeah, it didn't make for good sleep.
Groaning slightly, she reached up with her free hand to try and push her now wet locks out of her face. Her mouth a bit dry, as was her throat....she didn't feel good and yet at the same time she felt a little better than she had...That was something she guessed....Right? Finally managing to force her eyes open and rolling onto her back, she would turn her head so that she could look at him, a weak little smile given as she would raise her shaky little hand and slowly trace her finger along the scar on his face. "...hey.." Her tone a bit low and weak as she would pull her hand away...."Thank you....for finding me...." She had not been thinking clear enough to say that earlier, so now, it was the first thing she wanted to get out of the way....Because she owed him that much, if not so much more.
