Although Patrick was comfortable and somewhat relaxed as he cuddled up beside her he wouldn't sleep, just in case. Just in case she got sick from the drugs, just in case she needed him, just in case Feht came out, hell, just in case they weren't out of the woods. It just seemed foolish to let himself fall asleep now. So he didn't, which was perfectly fine with him, Patrick didn't mind holding her as she slept in the least. He loved the feel of her in his arms, the comfort in knowing that she was there, even if she was sick.
As she slept Patrick felt her shift, constantly trembling. While Patrick knew that a lot of that came from her feeling unwell from the drugs, he also knew that she didn't sleep well to begin with. While she slept more then him, it was quite often that she woke up screaming from some nightmare. It was getting better, slowly, very slowly but it was getting better, didn't mean she slept a lot or that it was great, but it was progress. For now, even though it wasn't good sleep, it was rest that she so desperately needed.
Laying there Patrick had plenty of time to think. Namely about the child. Honestly he had no idea what to do. He had never been in a position where he had had to take care of a child before. Sure he helped care for the orphan's when he lived and with with that little rag tag gang, but that was different. This was his child, flesh and blood from infancy. He had to care more about just the physical well being. Patrick had to worry about the whole well being of the child, and that was a scary concept to him. Patrick wasn't sure he knew how to do it. Having spent so long only able to get himself to move physically forward he felt like he had neglected his health in other areas. Patrick hoped he could do it.
As she stirred before waking up Patrick smiled. Even though she was constantly shifting in her sleep, he could always tell when she was going to wake up. He couldn't really tell you why, he just could. So He smiled, closing his right eye as he felt her finger trace down that scar of his. As she opened her eyes, thanking him for finding her he would shake his head with a smile, "I promised ye I would. No need to thank me love."
Patrick would look at her for another moment, smile on his face before asking, "Are ye feeling any better?"

She loved being able to wake up to that smile, she had a few faint memories of waking up to such before and she knew that she had always loved it...Which felt good...to know that she was slowly starting to remember him. It would take awhile she was sure, seeing as how she didn't know how much she had lost, but it would be worth it in the end.
As he told her there was no need to thank him, she would smile a bit and just nod..She wasn't going to argue him on the matter, even if she did think that he deserved so much more than a thank you from her. "I remember waking up in that room...He didn't know I was awake...." She coughed a bit, her hand covering her mouth before she would slowly and painfully roll herself onto her side facing him. Everything felt so sore and tired, her head was pounding and her stomach was still upset....but yeah, it was better than she had been in the fact that she could at least feel things physically and move better, somewhat. "They ran so many tests on me...." She sighed and would shift to push some of the blanket off of her.
Despite her flesh being cold and the trembling she was starting to feel confined, trapped, and even a little hot. A sigh passing her lips as the cool air of the room washed over her flesh. "I still don't feel too good. But at least I my heads not so....fuzzy.." She would shift forward just a bit, as much as she possibly could. Her nose nuzzling into the side of his neck, before she would pause and pull back, looking at that mark on his flesh...Her mark, the one she had left upon him. "I am so glad that you are okay." She had seen the amount of security during one of her wake ups while being carried in. To think that he had gone up against all that, well that was terrifying to her...even though she knew that he was more than capable of handling himself.
Leaning down, she would press her lips against that mark, soft and affectionate, taking in a deep breath of his scent and sighing softly. She couldn't explain just how comforting that was to her and how much it made her feel secure and content. Finally though, she would pull back, not sure if she should be doing that, seeing as how she was still a little fuzzy on the actual relationship thing. She wasn't entirely sure how things were between them and most of what she did at this point was something that came from instinct and a few fragmented memories.
Slowly she would lower her eyes, almost shy due to her behavior. Biting her lower lip, she would shift to pull away more fully, to lay back and try her best to recall anything else that she could about him and their relationship, that being the more pressing matter at the moment given the fact that she was carrying his child. Everything else, well that could come naturally...but this, this she had to know soon.

Patrick smiled as she nodded. He knew she disagreed with him, probably thinking that he deserved more then a thank you. He also knew that she probably didn't want to argue with him on that. At least not now, which drew an inward grin from Patrick. Mental victory huh? Shallow perhaps, but he'd take em where he could get em.
Patrick would listen carefully as she described a bit of her experience with the man. It wasn't much, but it also wasn't very surprising either. More tests done on her. Just didn't really seem too bizarre as far as their strange life seemed to go. Didn't mean Patrick liked a lick of it, in fact he didn't. But the idea of tests being run on her at this point seemed uncomfortably normal. Patrick would sigh with a frown, "I'm sorry they did that to ye love."
As she spoke Patrick knew she still wasn't feeling well by the time that she answered his question. It looked like she was still in a considerable amount of pain, from the drugs from the tests, and the strain of being brought in. That and the fever that she seemed to have looked like it was doing quite a number on her as well. Making Patrick frown, however the good news was that her head wasn't as fuzzy anymore. Positives right? Think Positive. At least, that's what Patrick kept telling himself.
Patrick felt her nuzzle into him briefly before pulling back to look at her mark as she told him she was glad he was okay. He smiled softly at her, thankful for that. But he had known the risks. The possibly risks at least. While he hadn't known the number of men that were going to be in there he had know to expect almost a private army. At least that thought was the one that had kept him on his toes. He really was glad though that he had made it our with her, with as few dings as he had really.
Patrick would close his eyes, giving a steady inhale as he felt her lips on her mark. As he did he got a whiff of her lovely lilac scent, smiling softly. Patrick loved the feel of her lips on his neck, on the mark that she had left, it was comforting, but at the same time there was something off. There was hesitance, made abundantly clear as she pulled back. Watching her lower her eyes Patrick figured that she was still uncertain about all of this, uncertain about them. It must have been the drugs and the continued holes in her memory. Patrick slowly raised his hand, once again cupping his cheek, leaning in so that he was whispering into her lips, "It's okay, ye didn't do anything wrong. We do this all the time."

Something in the way that he said he was sorry told her that this was not something he had never heard of, which meant that it had been done to her before and that was very unsettling. Especially because she did not understand it one damn bit.
She gave a little sigh, trying to raise her hand to tuck her hair back behind her ears. She was tired, and at the same time she couldn't really imagine going back to sleep. She was far too sore and at the moment whatever fever she had was breaking and it was a huge wash of relief over her. She wasn't sure if it would come back, but for now, well she felt pretty good. All things considered.
Though that hesitation she felt upon kissing his neck, that bothered her. She didn't want to feel that, and she didn't know if she was being too forward or if she was doing something wrong. It was so....confusing....And yet his hand came forth, cupping her cheek as he moved in closer to her.
As he did, she would close her eyes, feeling his breath as he whispered against her lips, a little shiver coursing down her spine. Slowly, she would trace her tongue along her lips before capturing her lower lip between her teeth, feeling her heart race just a bit more. "I just...." She didn't know what to say, her mind clouded, though for an entirely different reason than the drugs. No, it was something much more pleasant that was fogging her thoughts, her hand coming up and softly tracing along his jawline.
Gods he felt good beneath her touch. Something she was sure she had felt a million times before. Slowly those fingers would trace down his neck, falling upon that mark and drawing forth a soft, weak and yet almost possessive little growl. "Mine..." The words whispered against his lips in return before she would close the distance and press her lips to his own, a jolt of emotion shooting through her almost instantly. There was not a single part of her that felt this was wrong...not in this moment...The taste of his kiss, the feel of his lips...it was all so familiar and though the images were still locked away from her, the emotions, the thoughts...those spilled forth....causing her to gasp just slightly before she would pull back.
"I love you...so, so much ....I just couldn't let you go...no matter how much he wanted me to...I just couldn't..." That memory of her last waking moment in that room flooding back. The desperation to hold onto anything and everything she could about him, that fear of forgetting, of losing him. She had known then that it would kill her, that she would never, ever be the same. She had known that she couldn't let it happen....Now, she was just thankful she had at least been able to save something of them in her mind....

Patrick looked upon her, with only a smile on his face, appreciating her beauty, even though she was having a degree of difficulty remembering what their relationship had entailed thus far. Looking on her softly as she closed her eyes, watching her shiver softly with his word on her lips. Another soft look given as she tried to find words that wouldn't come out. It was something pleasant that she was feeling, that much evident on her face. Still though, she couldn't figure it out, opting to trace her hand along his jawline, not something that Patrick was going to fight against, more then happy to feel her soft hand brushing along his face. Tracing down his neck.
"Yers," Patrick would say softly with a smile as she traced her mark on his neck, his smile and reply coming after she had said that it was hers. Which it was, that mark, along with himself was hers entirely. And Patrick gave himself to her happily, her who had done so much for him. When she moved in for the kiss Patrick was more then happy to return the emotion that she was giving. Though it didn't last too long as something seemed to happen, feeling her gasp on his lips and her pull back sharply.
Patrick was concerned about what it was, before she would give him a memory, making it clear in his mind what had happened, another memory coming back. Patrick smiled though. He was touched, truly. He knew how much she loved him, but hearing it like that always made him feel good, feel special, if only to her but that was enough. That she would fight so hard against the drugs so she wouldn't lose the memory of him. Patrick had no doubt that that was why her memories were coming back so fast. He would simply smile at her saying, "I Love ye Kazumi, more then anything in the world."

She would smile at his words, though she wasn't sure why he felt the way he did about her, she knew that it was the truth. She was sure that they had a rather intense past, that much was obvious, but the details of that past were rather fuzzy and hard to grasp. Yet she chose to believe him that they were things that would come back to her in good time along with all the other things that she had lost in her time being strapped into that chair.
The thought of once more being put in that thing, of having that thing put on her head, it caused her to shudder softly...though she didn't let the thought linger. No, she was not going to focus on the bad right now, not when she needed so desperately to remember the good. So, leaning in she would once more press her lips against his. The kiss lingering for a long moment before she would break free and slowly and affectionately trail her lips along his jawline.
She just wanted to feel him, to taste him and to know that he was there....that she wasn't trapped in some illusion that she would eventually wake from only to find herself back in that nightmarish place she had previously been in. However, once her lips had followed a path down to his neck, they would pause just over that mark on his neck....A shaky breath released as she felt that overwhelming urge to bite him sinking into her mind.
Yet she hesitated. She felt, deep down, that it was normal, that it was needed and yet at the same time she was scared that it was something implanted into her mind. But then, if that was the case, why would he have the mark to begin with? A little whimper given as she mentally struggled with the thoughts running around her head, though she would not pull back, instead opting to lightly nuzzle into the spot. Breathing in his scent, she couldn't help but shiver slightly.
Though as she lingered, something in her mind seemed to stir to life, something that demanded she just give in and go with what she felt was right...A low growl echoing through her mind as she ran her tongue slowly along her lips. He was her's....he belonged to her....that mark showed it, his words proved it.....and yet...It didn't feel like whatever was inside her was sated with just hearing it or seeing it.....
Next thing she knew, a little growl had erupted past her lips and her teeth were sinking into that mark, the taste of his blood washing over her tongue as she groaned lightly, small body pressing into his own. Only then did that noise in her head seem to quiet, only then did whatever urge she had been feeling settle down. Tongue slowly lapping at the blood which spilled forth, her hand gripping his side as best she could manage. A single thought echoing through her mind over and over again.
Mine....
And this time, whatever creature dwelt within felt assured in that knowledge.

Patrick couldn't even begin to imagine how she was feeling. To have the emotions but not the memories, not all of them at least. While he could see that it might not be such a bad thing for the bad memories to go away, to have lost the good ones too, the ones that explained why she loved him, why he knew she loved her. It was unfathomable.
As she leaned in once more Patrick's lips met hers returning her kiss, softly with love in his lip's touch, lingering there. When she broke free from the kiss, her lips trailing down his jawline Patrick's hand that had been on her cheek slid back, his fingers running through her hair as he held the back of her head. As she kissed her way down his neck Patrick would nip playfully at her ear. Feeling her pause, her hesitation as she reached her mark on his neck Patrick waited. Wondering what exactly it was. He was fairly sure that it had something to do with her memory lost though he wasn't sure, not actually he was fairly sure. Feeling her nuzzle into it slightly he figured that she was pretty confused about what she was supposed to do. It was as if she knew what she was supposed to do, what she had done before, but she didn't feel like that person. Normally at this point if she had made it here it would be like a vampire attack. A loving sexually charged vampire attack.
"It's okay, do it," Patrick whispered lovingly into her ear, knowing exactly what "it" was. What she was struggling with. Though apparently Patrick's words were unneeded for as soon as he finished he heard that growl erupt from her. Drawing a hiss from him as her teeth clamped down on him. Feeling his blood slow forth into her mouth, and her tongue beginning to lap it up, he would also feel her body pressing into his and her fingers gripping his sides tightly. All this would cause him to trail his lip down her neck, to his mark on her and kiss it before biting it himself, letting the blood flow onto his lips as he kissed her wound softly, saying somewhat possessively, "Mine."

Oh she heard his words, and those seemed to be just another reason to go through with what she had already apparently decided to do. Now, with his blood washing over her tongue and down her throat she felt more calm, more at ease with him and the moment they shared. She may not have had a lot of memories of him, but the feelings, those could not be erased.
Then she felt his teeth sink into the side of her neck and she would gasp softly against his neck, a little moan released as the pain shot through her. Though she didn't need a memory to tell her that it was good pain....her body and her mind were already on board with that idea. Though as his lips brushed against his mark she would hear that word growled past his lips....hear the possessive nature in his tone. A sudden onslaught of memories hitting her in that instant. All of them from a single night, the night that she had first bitten him....The same night that he had bitten her neck, leaving that scar there...the only one of her scars that she did not regret having.....
The sudden memory only causing her to press further into him, lips trailing over that mark, tongue slowly lapping at the blood which poured forth. Then, in a heated and purred tone she would whisper lightly against his flesh. "All yours....forever." That hand leaving his side to travel under his shirt, moving along his back, over his scars that rested there....lips again returning to that wound on his neck, kissing over it affectionately before once more licking away the blood that spilled free.
She may not have remembered their entire time together or how she was supposed to act with him, but she didn't need those things to tell her that she loved him more than anything and wanted nothing more than to be with him for as long as she possibly could. No, just the mere fact that she had loved him enough to fight against everything happening to her in order to hold onto those memories of him....that spoke for itself. The way she felt, right this moment, that told her everything she needed to know about how deep her love for him ran....Something that nobody was going to take away from her.

Patrick gave a sigh as she pressed further into him after he bit her. Continuing to kiss her wound, he never drank the blood, that was always her thing. He just kissed her wound and nuzzled inter her neck. Those words though, whispered against his flesh caused him to shiver. He liked the thought. The thought of her being his forever, the thought of him being hers forever. It just felt right. That and he knew that they had a child on the way. He didn't ever want to leave her, to leave them. He wanted to belong to them forever. Loving her more then anything in the world he would do whatever it took to keep her with him. So long as she would have him.
Patrick kissed her neck again as he felt her fingers run up his sides under his shirt, causing another shiver. His free hand moving to her side, beginning to trace the scars on her side. He knew that she didn't like them, but he loved them all the same. Not how she got them, but they were a crucial part of who she was. Patrick couldn't no more deny them as part of her as he could deny the scar on his face as part of him. As his fingers traced the scar, he would kiss his way back up her neck and down her jawline. Making his way to press his lips against hers again. Slowly, albeit passionately kissing her, tasting both him and her on their lips...

She would shiver as she felt his fingers slowly starting to trace over her flesh. She knew she had scars there, and so far, the memory of how she got them was fuzzy, but she knew that it was not good. So the memory of how much she loved it when he did that was not hard to grasp onto. A little shiver running down her spine, feeling his lips trail upward toward her jawline.
She pulled back, tongue tracing over her lips as a bit of blood trailed down from the corner of her lips, over her chin. Then, as his lips met with her own, she would moan softly, tasting his blood mixing with her own. It was so familiar, so ....amazing, that she couldn't help but enjoy it and crave more, deepening the kiss just slightly. Not rushing the pace, but just wanting to taste more of him, she would slide her hand upward along his spine, very lightly dragging her nails along his flesh.
Finally, she would pull back from the kiss, panting softly as she rested her forehead against his, gently biting down on her lower lip as she just gave herself a moment to process all the emotions and the flood various images that were rushing through her mind. Her small hand moving from his back now, coming upward so that it could rest against his chest, feeling his heart beat beneath her touch. "I don't want to know what it would be like to be without you....Sitting in that chair, while he was trying to make me forget....I can't even describe how much it hurt with every memory of you that he took from me..." Oh yes, she remembered, that pain that had been so intense that it had broken through the haze created by the drugs.
She didn't know why she remembered those things but she supposed it had something to do with the fact that they were her most recent memories....But she couldn't be sure....Either way, thinking about it and about how much it had hurt brought about a little whimper, fingers curling within the front of his shirt, gripping him and holding him to her. "It was like losing a part of who I am....." She wasn't sure if that made any sense, but yeah, that was exactly how it had felt in that moment.

As Patrick kissed her he'd let out a sigh at her moan, their lips still dancing together, the taste of his blood mixing with hers. It still amazed him every time how simply amazing this was, how amazing it felt, even the taste was remarkable, though he wasn't the drinker her. As she deepened the kiss Patrick was all to happy to comply, deepening the kiss along with her, his tongue softly meeting hers and swirling around it gently. Another pleasured sigh was given as he felt her nails dragging along his back as he slid his hand on her side around to her back, slowly moving up, making it's way to that spot between her shoulders.
When she pulled away from the kiss though and he panted along with her, his hand would stop, holding in place as she rested her forehead against his. Patrick would smile softly as she took a moment to collect herself, moving her hand from his back, placing it directly above his heart. Patrick listened as she spoke, telling him how it felt when he made her forget about him. He could only frown when he heard that, softly saying, "I'm so sorry he did that to ye. Tried to make ye forget. And I don't want to know what it would have been like to lose ye either. I'm just so glad I was able to find ye."
Patrick slide his arm around from her back, his hand moving to cup her cheek as she told him that it was like losing a part of herself. Frown still on his face. He couldn't imagine what it would have been like if that were him, being made to forget about her. What he did know though, was that she was here now, away from that man. Safe, and getting her memories back. Patrick would say encouragingly, "It's okay now though. Yer back, and yer not going to lose anything else and what ye did loose will slowly come back."
Patrick would brush a few strands of hair behind her ear before stroking her cheek again before feeling the need to say it again, "I love ye Kazumi."

She felt tears building in her eyes. She couldn't help it. The thought of all that had gone on starting to wear on her, especially given how exhausted she was and how utterly confusing this all still was to her. Hearing his words, she would nod slightly, her hand quick to wipe away the few tears that rolled down her cheeks as she sniffled back the rest softly. "I don't understand any of this...." Her tone a mere whimper as she shook her head. She didn't understand why this type of thing would be done to her, she didn't understand why somebody would want to take their baby or why they would want to make her forget who she was, forget him. None of it made any sense to her, and it scared her just as much as it confused her.
When he told her that it was okay now, she would force a little smile onto her lips and nod, trying her best to suck it up and not let it show that it was killing her inside, however hard that might have been. "Yeah...you're right." Her fingers remaining curled within his shirt for a moment longer before she would shift to lay on her back, feeling that surge of weakness and dizziness once more washing over her.
"I love you too Patrick.." Her words were still a bit off, just something in the way she spoke, the tone she used.....Just another side effect of the drugs she was sure, but she still didn't like it. Raising her hand she would push her hair back out of her face, swallowing past the lump forming in her throat as she felt a wave of pain starting to roll through her body....forced to choke back a small whimper as her hand fell away from him and instead gripped the bed beneath her. She was exhausted, but then at the same time she wasn't, moving closer to him and nuzzling weakly against his chest.
When she was finally able to open her eyes again, there would be traces of black starting to slowly work their way into the blue that had been occupying them. Not that she noticed, though she did note the fact that her mind seemed different, things felt different....but then, to her, that didn't make sense, so she just figured it was another thing she wasn't remembering. Not really knowing enough to know she was slipping, so not really able to fight against it like she some hidden part of her knew she should.

Patrick frowned at her confusion. He wasn't sure what she knew and what she didn't about her mother and her past before all of this, so he wasn't sure what he could do to help now. Wasn't sure if telling her any of it would be particularly helpful. It had been done because Kevala, her mother was a genetic experiment, and her offspring were seen just as valuable as her. Any other time he would have told her, but seeing her this scared, he didn't want to run the risk of startling her or possibly scaring her anymore.
Looking at her with concern on his face Patrick could tell just how much this was eating her up inside. She was trying to hide it but he knew that she was absolutely terrified of what had happened, what she did and didn't know and she probably was very scared of it happening again. So Patrick did the only thing that he could, stroking her cheek again he'd reassure her, "It's going to be okay Kazumi, they're not going to give us anymore trouble."
They weren't, because they were dead. At least that's what Patrick believed, wholeheartedly.
When she told him that she loved him Patrick smiled softly at her, looking at her as she lay on her back. Something was of in those words. No she meant them, but the way she said them, something was not right. Patrick was concerned about what was coming next, though he didn't mind her nuzzling into his chest in the least.
When she finally opened her eyes again she confirmed what Patrick kind of figured had been happening. The streaks of black giving everything away. Feht was trying to come out to play. Must have been one of the side effects of all the drugs. Kazumi didn't know how to fight her off like she should. So Patrick would have to help her out a little on this one.
"Kazumi," Patrick said with a smile on his face reminiscing about the past, "I remember going to a dance, it was a 1920s dance when he had just started dating. Do ye remember it? I remember I was running really late. But I remember getting there and seeing ye by the wall. I remember ye looked so beautiful in that white dress. And then ye took me to that lake out in the countryside. It was so beautiful and so peaceful. Thank ye for that."
He was trying to bring back good memories. Anything really. If it was peaceful it was in, trying to focus on the positive to ward off Feht...

She felt his hand against her cheek, those eyes looking at him as he again told her that it was going to be okay, that those people were not going to be a problem. She believed him, she really did. It was just that without her memories, she wasn't sure how to confirm or deny her belief in him and it was creating a really unsettling strange sensation. Still, she smiled as best she could and nodded lightly.
"Okay..." Nodding and then closing her eyes, yet when she opened them again was when the black had begun to surface within them. The feeling that she had right now being something she didn't quite understand. It was kind of like standing on the edge of a cliff, just on the verge of falling. She didn't know why she would feel that way, nor what to do about it, and her first thought was to just close her eyes and see what happened.
However, before she could do that, she heard him start to speak again...this time offering her a memory that she wasn't sure she recalled, but one that had that familiar sensation to it as did a lot of things he had said to her. As he spoke, she tried hard to focus on it, a little shake of her head given when he asked if she remembered. Yet she said nothing, allowing him to continue as she laid there, trying to hold onto whatever it was she was holding onto, forcing her eyes open. She wanted to hear this, she wanted to try and remember. Something in the way that he told it seemed like it had been a pretty amazing night, and when he had said that she was beautiful that night she had the sudden urge to blush and turn her head away slightly.
It wasn't so much what he said, because she wasn't yet to the point where she remembered enough to be ashamed of how she looked....but it was because of the tone in which he said it and the look he had in his eyes. Like she was capable of taking his breath away or something. Only then, as she looked away and those emotions washed over her did a sudden fragment of her memory come forth. It was from that night, she was sure, but toward the end of the night....while they were at that lake he spoke about...."I ...I remember that I wanted so badly to tell you that night ....that I loved you....but I was scared of pushing you away..." She bit her lip, working to pull free more of that night in her mind, wanting to have that night back, and hating that she couldn't. Still it was enough to bring a smile to her lips, curling her small body into his that much more now. "You looked so amazing that night...I...I remember seeing you and thinking that you looked so sexy.." She blushed a bit and would give a small laugh. It wasn't the entire night but it was something and that made her really happy.

Patrick smiled as she shook her head, and continued on telling the story anyway. He really enjoyed that night, even though there had been a small hiccup, it hadn't ruined anything. He still cherished the memory of it and he hoped that in time, she'd remember it fully too. But he figured for now, holding on to the good memories, trying to reintroduce those would be good for her. Maybe keep Feht back. She needed to have a slew of good memories and images to recall if she was going to do that.
Patrick smiled as she blushed, he hadn't been lying, she really had looked drop dead gorgeous that night. And yes, whether she believed it or not she was in fact able to take his breath away, almost at any moment really, but that night in particular, he couldn't not look away. As she turned away Patrick saw a pause, it seemed very much like she was remembering something maybe? She didn't seem to be all here, and that was uncommon. In a moment however she'd confirm it by telling him that he'd looked sexy that night, something he remembered her saying, as well as wanting to tell him that she loved him.
Patrick could only smile softly at that though, a little chuckle given as he replied, "Ye know I had been thinking the same thing that night."
He paused for a second before continuing, "After we made love, and were were just lying there. I remember mouthing that I love ye while ye were turned away. I was afraid that it was too early to say that, so I didn't. Funny huh?"
