Yeah, that look of thankfulness? Patrick doubted it would last long, and this was before she screamed that she was pregnant. Because the truth was, he wasn't on Mischa's side. He was on the side where Kazumi was happy and she didn't burn bridges with their child's only grandparents. And that pretty much meant that she still lived with him. Yeah, Patrick didn't see her thankfulness as anything more then a temporary thing. However at the moment Patrick seemed to have bigger problems to deal with.
"Oh shi-!" Ducking under the jar, hearing it smash on the wall behind him. Now Patrick knew that he was going to be in trouble for that, but he didn't thing that duck and cover would be literal advice. Not in the least. But the black in her eyes was a clear indicator that all was not well in her head. So yeah, Patrick wasn't going to hold it against her. Occasionally you hurt the people you love right?
And then she went on informing Mischa, who hadn't known she was pregnant apparently that she was. Yeah, Patrick wasn't going to shoot himself in the foot first it would seem. Kazumi was already busy doing that for him. Not that he particularly cared, it was going to happen anyway. Once again, it was Kazumi who commanded his priorities here.
And that is why he'd stand in between her and the door, his hands gently clasping her shoulders after she made her declaration. Softly telling her, looking into her eyes, "Kazumi, I'm on yer side, not theirs. I love ye, with all of my heart. And whatever decision ye make, I'm going to follow ye and love ye all the same. If that means we leave, we leave. I know that they might have done wrong, but before ye walk out on them and burn that bridge consider this. Our child's already going to be down a set of grandparents. Does our child really need to be down two?"
Patrick would look at her softly, caringly. Trying to make it clear to her if she decided to leave, to drive out of here, then he'd gladly follow her. But he didn't want her to burn any bridges either. Not over something that might pass, though he wasn't kidding if she decided to leave. He'd follow her all the same...

Kevala would wince slightly as she heard those words leave Kazumi's mouth. Oh fuck...She was going to be in so much trouble now....Though she was more concerned with the fact that Kazumi was losing it. That jar being thrown at Patrick a clear indicator of that, though she had sort of known it was coming. No, she was worried because that blackness in her eyes was growing worse and as she spoke those final words to Mischa Kev knew that it wasn't really Kazumi who was talking...Well it wasn't her that was thinking about what to say at least....it was something much darker than their sweet little girl was able to come up with.
"Kazumi! Enough!" Crimson starting to seep into her gaze as she would push herself off the counter now, feet planted firmly on the floor. She wasn't trying to get in the middle of this but at the same time she already knew how hurt Mischa was, those words were just going to make it worse....And yeah, Kev's first priority was always Mischa.
Moving forward, she would let Patrick try and calm Kazumi down while she turned to Mischa. "She doesn't mean it. Its that thing inside her talking....Okay?" Her hands coming up and grasping her wife's face gently but firmly, forcing the other woman to look at her. "We all need to sit down and figure this out. I think everyone is just getting a little too emotional."
Easy for her to say, she didn't feel shit really. Oh sure, there was concern for her daughter and for her wife, there was even understanding for the kid who was caught up in the middle of this family drama nightmare...But on the grand scale of things, she didn't feel the need to over react like everyone else. She was just trying to think things through logically, which seemed to be the only way out of this mess they were all currently stuck in.
She would then look to her daughter to see if Patrick was making any lead way with her. Because quite honestly, she did not want to have to deal with Feht right now, that side of Kazumi stirred up her own inner demon and the last thing anyone needed was both Kaz and Kev losing their control. That would be bad, very, very bad. "Kaz you have to keep it locked up, because I can't keep my under control with your own being so aggressive."
She spoke rather plainly and to the point. She wasn't lying, she was just trying to defuse the situation as best she could, and if she had to point out that the homicidal part of her was about to come out and play well then so be it. Her eyes turning back toward Mischa, the crimson in them making it clear she was having her own issues, though Kevala did have a bit more control than Kazumi did.....Hell, a lot more. To a point.
"Baby look at her....She looks at him like I do you....And do you really think that there was anyone that could have told me I could not be with you when I wanted?" She was trying here, though Kev was not very good at situations like this. "Your Father tried to keep us apart, remember? You would not allow that to happen. You went against him for me.....She is just as stubborn as both of us..."

Mischa flinched as the jar was thrown though not soon after the jar was the least of her worries. Out came the dark truth of whom was pregnant. Mischa's jaw dropped.
Pregnant? And Kazumi thought she was responsible enough to live on her own?
FUCK.
THAT.
She felt sick in her stomach and dizzy.......very dizzy. God it had been awhile since she straight up fainted. She really didn't want to do it again... She looked to the ground as she pressed her hand to the table to try and support herself. Her eyes would shoot up at the mention of Aiden.
Her fault?
It upset her Aiden had run away... and now it was worse because Kazumi was blaming her for it. Last Mischa remembered Aiden threatened the life of both Kazumi and Kevala as he held a gun to her head.... also told her he would kill her if she went looking. She still went looking for him... but obviously with no luck. She would slump down into a chair in defeat. Her lower lip began to quiver as this was all starting to take a toll on her.
Finally she would look up at Kev while shaking her head. "I know she loves him. I'm not dumb. My father didn't like the idea of me loving another woman. He wanted me to wed Frank and have his children so he could have more to recruit. He literally wanted to seperate us for good. I, on the other hand, just want Kazumi to realize moving out is a bad idea. I'm not telling her to never see him again..."
Though right now she kind of wanted him to run the fuck away considering he knocked up Kazumi. Right now she was pissed about the whole thing... but she wasn't the type to abandon her family...she would help her...if Kazumi wanted it... which clearly she had no intention of it. Though she can't say she won't make Patrick's life a living hell if he let's Kazumi get away with moving in with him.

Kazumi felt those hands go to her shoulder, stopping her where she stood as he forced her to stay still and listen to him. A little growl given to his words, as she looked up at him, amethyst gaze slowly being snuffed out by the black that swirled within them, though as she focused on him, that would begin to die down somewhat. A little shaky breath given as tears began to fall down her cheeks, shaking her head.
She had not meant to say such bad things to her Mother, she loved her Mother and Kazumi was not a very mean spirited person. But that temper she had, well it was to be rivaled by probably only her brothers. Whimpering softly her arms snaked about Patrick's waist as she buried her head against his chest, a little sob escaping her.
She could feel that pounding in her skull of that other side of her that wanted out....Her mother Kevala's words only making it that much more clear that she had to keep some kind of control over herself....Because Gods knew that it would be bad if Kevala lost her control too. "I...I just..." She couldn't even think of the right thing to say. She didn't know how right this moment.
It wasn't that she wasn't sorry. She was. She knew she had done wrong. But at the same time she thought, very strongly, that she was in the right here. She just didn't know how to get that across to anyone without coming off as the kid who didn't know what she was doing. Her Mother Mischa's words not lost on her as she heard her speaking to Kev....though for now she worked on calming herself down before addressing anything else. Not wanting to lose it, not wanting to be that bad, horrible person that she was so easily capable of becoming.

Patrick frowned as the tears began to roll down her eyes. He saw the black had stopped spreading, and that was definitely a good thing, although he didn't see if fade away yet. That told Patrick's crystal clearly that they were not out of the woods yet. Seemed to make it that much more clear that they had to absolutely be calm and level headed about this whole thing. For Kazumi's sake. Because although Patrick was all for not burning bridges needlessly, especially when he wanted his child to have at least one pair of Grandparents, if this was going to be a liability, he would have no qualms about walking out with her right now. No qualms about driving, anywhere really. His concern here was Kazumi's well being, first and foremost. Her standing with her family at this point was a distant second. But he would do his best not to burn bridges.
As Kazumi wrapped her arms around him Patrick would embrace her lovingly, one hand placed on her head as she buried her face in his chest. Feeling her sob slightly into his chest Patrick couldn't help but frown deeper. He knew how much family meant to her. How much her brother's disappearance hurt her. How much pain she must have been in to yell those things at her mother. Was she childish? Probably. That didn't mean she didn't have a point those.
Patrick continued to hold her close as she failed to put her thoughts into words. He heard her mother Mischa. Did he want her to move out? Not particularly. Not at all. But his love for her overridded what he wanted. If it was in her best interest to move back home, then he would allow her to do so without complaint. But she was eighteen after all right? What she wanted definitely needed to play a factor into this. Because he couldn't help but feel that she was old enough to make her own decisions. It almost seemed like her mother was a bit too controlling at this juncture of her life. Then again, he had never experienced that relationship. He didn't know. He just wanted what Kazumi wanted and what was best for her.
"I love ye more then anything, ye know that right?" Patrick said to Kazumi, more rhetorical then anything. Just trying to comfort her, "And I will love ye no matter what."

Kevala growled as she saw that lower lip quiver, her eyes closing as she drew in a deep breath. Inside her demon was growling and tearing at the corners of her mind wanting nothing more than to get out and hurt those who had hurt Mischa. It didn't know the difference between friend and foe really, it just knew that when it was mad, it wanted blood...and nothing was a bigger trigger to set it off than seeing her hurt like this.
As she spoke, Kevala would draw in another deep breath and force her now crimson eyes open to look back at her, trying to remain calm as she listened and gave a knowing little nod. "I understand that baby...But you know as well as I that yelling is not going to solve anything with her just as it would not solve anything with Aiden or Ezekial. They are far too much like me." She would lean in and rest her forehead against Mischa's as her hand moved to softly tuck a few of those dark locks behind the other woman's ear.
A deep breath drawn in, taking in her scent as she tried her best to sooth her wife while calming herself. "She is not gone...She is right here. I understand you are worried about her, as am I, but you have to at least listen to her. She never talks to us, why should we cut her off when she finally chooses to?"
She wasn't sure if she was making this worse or better...but she was saying what she thought was right. "It was not your fault what happened with Aiden. Just like it was not my fault with what happened to Ezekial. Now, we have lost them both. Do we wish to lose the only child we have left?" Purring the words out, though there was a darker tone to them, that demon clearly speaking here, trying to sooth her Mischa because that was first and foremost what mattered to both halves of her.

She watched as the crimson stained her wife's eyes. Mischa really fucked up. She knew how to treat her family... but she overreacted like any other mother when finding out their daughter moved out without word.......especially hiding the fact she was pregnant with a boy she had never met before. Over baring or not any mother would be royally pissed. That and obviously "not yelling" wasn't doing the trick either... here she was..irresponsible and pregnant.
Then she went on about Kazumi needing a voice in the situation.... she did deserve a voice... but Mischa felt she needed to hear her out...at the house....where she belonged. Mischa would shake her head about the Aiden thing.. she didn't want to talk about that especially now. She knew it wasn't her fault... but she couldn't stand the thought of Kazumi believing so. Aiden and her were close the last thing she needed was the blame of taking away the one thing Kazumi loved most in this world.
"There is a difference between her hiding then being found and forced to talk to me... than being an adult and having a discussion before any of this shit happens. I'm going for a walk..then home to bed. Kazumi will no where to find me when she does realize the difference."
Mischa would get up and leave. Her feet would pick up in pace so no one could catch up to her and once she was in a safe distance she would finally cry. She felt deceived of course. It was that aweful feeling she had felt with Kevala years back..that feeling she wasn't loved as much as she hoped... she didn't think she would feel that again.

Kazumi would nod to his words, sobbing softly against his chest as she gripped him that much more tightly. She didn't like being this kind of person and her Mother's words were only making her feel worse. But she knew what she wanted and she wasn't going to change her mind. A little whimper given as she heard Mischa saying that she would know where to find her and then leaving.
That hurt. A lot.
But just as she was about to say something, to try and make this better. A sudden pain slammed into her chest hard enough that she stumbled back from Patrick and gave a little gasp of both surprise and pain. The blue flooding back into her eyes as if something had completely knocked the bad thoughts and images out of her mind. "Aiden..." Speaking the word softly as her hand rubbed the center of her chest.
A glance cast up toward Patrick as she shook her head, knowing that her mother's were both still nearby...Kevala have not left the house yet. "He is looking for me..." Speaking softly as she straightened up and grabbed her jacket....Making sure to stop and press her lips to Patrick's. "I have to go find him.." Giving him a look that told him to trust her on this....She wasn't lying, he would know that, but at the same time she knew he would worry.
But this was her brother and she just had to. Nodding once more, making sure he was okay with it, she would bolt out the door....Not stopping until she reached her car and climbing in and turning over the ignition. She knew she had things to mend from this night, but right now, Aiden was way more important. Sadly, he would always take precedence over her Mothers and her relationship with them. It was just a simple matter of fact.
Pulling out of the drive she would cease to think about anything else other than her twin. Knowing that would be the easiest way for him to find her, though where she was going to go, she had no clue.......yet.

Well what a strange world Patrick had stumbled into. One where Kevala seemed to be the only of the two mother's that was actually spouting off sense. Well, Patrick knew that Mischa had every right to be upset, but he had a hard time understanding her inability to think clearly. He knew the family name, and he assumed that she was just as every bit deadly and dangerous as Kevala. While he knew that Kevala didn't really feel emotions in the regular sense, he didn't count her in this. Patrick felt emotions, but he knew how to compartmentalize them. How to disregard what they were screaming at him, to remain crisply focused on what needed to be done. So that even in situations like this he wouldn't fuck it up. One of the reasons why when Mischa stormed out saying what she did Patrick was able to show zero emotional response to that. Because it wouldn't be helpful to react.
Although the truth of it was, he was angry at her. Not for anything she had done to him, hell he knew he was the enemy here. But he was angry because she was treating Kazumi unfairly. In his humble opinion she went on and on about being an adult and making level headed decisions and what not, but he saw none of that from her. Almost as if she was acting just as childish as Kazumi was. Storming in here and packing Kazumi's things for her. All though Patrick knew he couldn't say anything. Family dynamics was something he had no clue on for obvious reasons. He had no idea how the parent child relationship worked, or even was supposed to work and how it was supposed to change as the children got older. That and Mischa obviously had been lied to, about quite a bit. By her wife and that had to sting. Yeah, there had been wrongs all around, hell he had a part in this too. Perhaps a cool of was the best for everyone.
But Patrick was still distressed that Kazumi was so hurt. He knew she was about to say something but before she could, she would be forced back, as if hit by some invisible force. Concern immediately flashed across his eyes. As she said her brother's name he knew that she had felt some sort of connection. It was that weird twin thing. Some sort of connection that Patrick knew he would never fully understand. Worry crossing his face as she said he was looking for her and she grabbed her jacket. She pressed her lips to his but Patrick couldn't help but feel worried at her urgency as she said she needed to find him.
While he trusted that this was something that she absolutely had to do it didn't make him any less concerned. He knew he had disappeared, but for him to reappear now? That was suspicious as hell. He asked as she looked back to him, "Do ye -?"
But she was already gone and so it seemed pointless to finish the question. He knew she needed time with her brother, but the timing seemed to suspicious. He was nervous as he remained looking at the door, the rolling of his fingers showing that the inability to do anything was killing him. But he had to trust her right?

She would wince slightly at the words, hearing the hurt in Mischa's voice and feeling her demon flare up with anger as it demanded blood for what had been done. Though she knew that she had a problem in giving it what it wanted, in that it would only cause more trouble. So, when Mischa would turn to leave, knowing that she was going somewhere to cry, Kevala would shut her eyes and growl softly, her hands balling into fists as she shook her head.
Though what she heard next threw her off her game, that gasp, then the mention of her son. She would look toward Kazumi, brow furrowed as she opened her mouth to say something but then quickly closed it. She knew that it would do her no good to say anything here and so she kept quiet. And sure enough, Kazumi was out the door within seconds of speaking his name.
Turning to Patrick, she noted the worried look he gave the door as well as the way his hands moved, a little sigh escaping her. "They are like two halves of the same being. Not even I fully understand it. But I do know that she would kill me and her Mother both to save him. But then, I believe that she would do the very same for you."
She would shake her head, her eyes still crimson as she straightened herself up, hand pushing her hair back from her face before readjusting her glasses. "Do not worry too much about her. He may not be in a good place, but he will not hurt her. Think of it like, choosing to cut yourself in half...That is what it would be for either one of them should the other die."
She would then move to leave, knowing that she had a wife she had to explain things to and to comfort. "My daughter loves you, and though I cannot say that I agree with that decision, it is not mine to make. That is why I allowed her to move here, because keeping you apart would have been far too taxing on my nerves. At least this way I know where she is, all the time and I know she is safe." A little bow of her head given to him, not so much out of respect, which he had yet to gain from her, but more so out of being polite.
"When she comes home, talk to her, calm her down, and then have her call me. I wont be sleeping tonight." She nodded once more and then turned to leave, instantly going to find Mischa. Though once she had, she would say nothing, just wrap her arms around the other woman and pull her into her. A little nuzzle given as she sighed and tried her best to be comforting. She never was sure she did it right, but she always hoped that she would.
