Burns of Flames (Ryu's Mansion)

[Ryu Hikari]

With both Silk and Kazue having left New York City without a single indication or word as to where they had gone, Kazuya decided to downsize from the mansion Ryu and Mai had been living in, and occasionally, he as well, to a smaller place. Kazuya had bought the piece of land not because he liked the house, but specifically because the size of it was quite large, which made it perfect to build another dojo for Ryu to practice in. The house itself was not large, it was only a 2 story, 4 room house. Three of the rooms were his, Ryu's, and Mai's bedrooms, all three with en suite bathrooms, and the other room was a guest bedroom, with an en suite bathroom as well.

The kitchen made up the majority of the house, with the dining room and living room in the same area as the kitchen, and the living room and dining room were medium sized. The living room contained two leather couches perpendicular to each other, a single leather chair, and a forty-inch, high-definition LCD TV screen, with an electric fireplace and mantle for the colder days. Beside it was the dining room, which contained a rectangular wooden dining table with six chairs arranged around it. The kitchen is equipped with the latest appliances and granite counter tops. Outside, in the back, there was a swimming pool with lights embedded in the pool sides lighting it up in the evening and at night, and right beside it, was the dojo Kazuya had built for Ryu to train and practice in.

Ryu's room was simple, at best, but surprisingly welcoming and relaxing. The walls of his room had been painted red, like flames, and his bed was a double bed, which was pushed up against the bedroom window wall and the wall where the door was located, and a large sliding door leading out to the balcony beside his bed. Across from his bed was his bookcase, which held the books he had with him, all his CD's, and his stereo/CD player. Beside the bookcase was a simple wooden desk with a comfortable chair, which had his laptop and his Hewlett Packard desktop hooked up to a wireless printer on top, and a column of drawers underneath the desk.

Next to his desk, was his walk-in closet, his shirts, jeans, and several male kimono's, haori's, and hakama's hung inside, as well as a closet drawer, where he stored his other clothing. Directly across from his balcony door was a guitar stand that held his Fender Telecaster, that previously belonged to his father and was given to him, and the katana his father previously owned and gave to him resting on a katana stand. Beside his guitar and katana stands was a large cushion, also known as Shiro's bed.

Mai's room was just as simple as her adoptive older brother's room, at best, but extremely cozy and refreshing. The walls of her room had been painted crimson, and her bed was a futon located on a elevated platform that could only be reached by climbing up a ladder, and three small windows that could be pushed open beside her bed, and a penguin shaped heater at the foot of her futon. Underneath the platform was her walk-in closet, her shirts, skirts, shorts, jackets, and several kimonos hung inside, as well as a closet drawer, where she stored her other clothing.

Directly beneath her bed, was a small crimson leather chair with the giant teddy bear Ryu won for her for her belated seventh birthday present at the Summer Festival resting in it. Beside the chair was a simple wooden desk with a comfortable wooden chair, which had her electric piano, a couple reference books and dictionary, her laptop, and her Hewlett Packard desktop on top, and a column of drawers which contained all her art supplies inside.
