Kazue loved to wander, though the problem about wandering was she lived in New York city. Everyone knew that was the capitol to get robbed, mugged, shot up by gang members and any number of other media covered issues. It could be because the girl lived a privileged life, but she had never so much as seen a drug dealer. If she had... she didn't know it. In any case, she wasn't scared to go wandering about. It didn't take long for the 15 year old girl to end up lost some where and feeling out of place. Homeless are everywhere but she had wandered onto a street where it seemed there were more of them than usual.
She walked by some of them, wary and keeping her distance. Poor little rich girl lost and alone in a strange part of her own city...Kazue snapped out of it. Her mother wasn't always rich. She roamed the streets like everyone else did and never had to worry. Nodding to her self Kazue began to walk around with more confidence. She was a Velasquez and a Hikari, she had nothing to worry about.
"Miss, miss... the end is coming... you see the rats, they are everywhere...they are the aliens!" "...oh shit..."
A crazy homeless man ranting about aliens and rats and the end being near. Perhaps, if he had approached her cautiously, she wouldn't have freaked out. She wouldn't have gotten so scared... but the man ran at her, raving about the end and Kazue decided to defend her self. One spin kick to the jaw should shut him up, and it did. The man dropped like a rock. Sadly for her though, the other homeless around weren't fond of watching their own kind get beaten up. Little Kazue raced away. She turned down an alley way and thought she would hide behind some garbage can. She ducked down and watched as the homeless ran by. Just as she went to step out from hiding two shadows entered her hiding place.
Worried about more homeless, she stayed down. Her heart raced. She really should spend more time indoors and less time exploring the city. She couldn't hear what was going on or even tell who the people were, but as she leaned forward a bit to get a better look, she bonked her head against the dumpster and fell over into the light of day. So much for being hidden. She had her mother's luck sometimes.

Guy just so happened to be one of such homeless, well not so much nowadays having increased his revenue tenfold. As for his brethren in the streets and their sloppy shambles having bolstered his imagination Guy could dream them to appear as though they were zombies trekking through the folds. Bearing resemblance to them himself he could unfortunately only see them as the burdened, unlucky souls that have come to part.
"You got the stuff..."
Guy would murmur to his supplier, he had a bit of a craving going on. The dull run of goosebumps up his skin and the chills and aches running through his bones. Guy could feel his jaw buckle whilst breathing the words only to find his breath normally.
"You got the dough?"
A shady fella with an overcoat pulled up over his features moving his hands into a cupping fashion to breath heavily into his mittons every few seconds only to feel the hissing breath escape into the air.
"Yeah I got it ri-" *Ker-Thump*
Both of their heads would pivot off towards the sound of the noise, Guy's hands peeled out of his pockets as were the other guy's.
"You followed?" The shady guy would gesture. "I could ask you the same thing."
Guy would pull a deck free of his pocket sliding it up the sleeve pocket before sneaking up towards the location his breath managing to quiver in the cold air.
*Knock Knock*
A wrap of his knuckles against the dumpster hoping to draw out the "scared" creature.

Kazue gasped as the shadows drew closer. This was it! This had to be it! Tomorrow's headlines would read "Young rich girl murdered by homeless!" and below under pictures of the grisly murder would be her mother's comment. "I told her if she was ever stupid enough to get killed, I'd bring her back to life and kick her little butt!" Kazue shook the thoughts out of her head. The double tap on the dumpster made her cover her mouth. She wasn't seen yet? Maybe... just maybe if she got up nice and slow, she could power house her way outa the alley and back to the safety of her home.
Slowly Kazue rose up. She said nothing, tried to not even breathe. One step was all it would take and she could bolt out of there like a bat outa hell. One step... easy does it now, very slowly...RUN! Kazue goes to bolt but underestimates that slamming into the shadowy figures would slow her down or possibly knock her over and indeed, that is exactly what happened. She slammed into the one who had knocked on the dumpster and fell over. Her arms instinctively flew up in a protective position.
"I didn't see anything I swear!"
She said quickly. Normally she wouldn't be scared but homeless crazies all around her kind of made her nervous. Plus, if she went home with so much as a scratch from one of them, her mother would flip out and make her run drills all day. Silk had become very protective since Kazue was born and the thought that someone could hurt her own flesh and blood was likely to drive the crazy spanish woman into a rage of unknown fury. Kazue wasn't sure she wanted to witness that. Her mother would probably commit genocide and kill all the homeless.

Guy caught the figure in the chest, not exactly prepared for her running headlong into him and shuffled a bit back managing to secure himself from falling over on his ass by gripping the edge of the dumbster and sooting himself in a layer of the gunk on the edge. Gross. A small grimace as the girl spoke managing to whip the soot off on his pant leg and focus upwards.
Guy's features turned upwards still holding a curious sort of intimidating glance towards the girl he was now sizing up. Her words suggested that she was afraid or at the very least a small bit caught off guard by the situation she was in.
"Bullshit, you were followed Guy!"
A small gesture behind him, the shady man's voice a husk of heightened irritation shuffling about and clinking with something glass behind him. "Something must be done."
A slinking would be heard from behind him and a shattering of glass slinked past his peripheral vision towards the girl before Guy swivered to block it catching a hint of the glass in his mid forearm.
"Hssstt... Back down."
Gritting his teeth Guy would drop his shoulder into the shady guy's jaw knocking him back onto his ass and falling at the wayside. His coat would furl open revealing the contents as a can of monster hit the floor and bust open. The fizzy contents burst firing off in a wild spinning circle and spraying the bunch.

The whole situation screamed terrible drug deal gone wrong and Kazue was in the middle. The glass went through the air and she would have easily dodged or broken it with her own fists but the boy she had bumped into saved her instead. She saw droplets of blood drip from his arm. It seemed that either the glass had cut him or got stuck, either way the young girl looked awfully worried. When the man fell to the ground and a can rolled from his coat, Kazue blinked. It then began to spray the three and Kazue's little voice could be heard as she eeked. She was coated in energy drink, stood up looking annoyed and tried to wring out her dress and hair. Her dress however was almost a lost cause. It stuck to her form and she was clearly irate now when before she had been scared.
"Are you serious!? All this for a stupid energy drink!? Are you guys idiots?! Oh I think I'm going to do some shady deal in the dark... FOR AN ENERGY DRINK!"
She shouted at them. She took a few breaths trying to calm down. Walking up to the man on the ground she began to kick him.
"AND you! What the hell was with the throwing of the glass! You hurt the other idiot you idiot!"
Repeatedly those little ballet flats slammed into the man on the ground, her hair flying all over the place with her rapid movement.
"Baka! Baka Baka! BAKA!"
She finally calmed down, turned to look at the boy who had been cut.
"Your stupid too, who blocks with their forearm when glass is flying at them?"
Sighing she walked over to him and grabbed for his arm. Should she actually get a hold of it, she would jerk it towards her to inspect it.
"Here I am, lost... being chased by homeless crazies, then I end up in an alley way with two idiots being shady over a can of monster."
She grumbled and would find a dry part to her dress. She would lift it and bite it a bit, ripping the fabric. With a yank, she tore a chunk of her dress off and would use it for the boy's arm to apply pressure and stop the bleeding.
"You... are going to walk me home... I will treat your arm and then you will do what ever it was you were doing before you found me in the alley."
She wasn't asking. Today was going to be interesting.

Guy hissed quietly to himself ultimately ignoring the small girl's little tirade on his supplier. He cordially checked his wound, the small slice had drawn quite a bit of blood from his arm leaving a sharp sting and cold feeling down the limbs. Luckily for him his deck of cards had absorbed most of the blow, he never had thought they'd come into play quite like that. One of his favorite decks would pool out onto the floor split in half caked in what was most of his blood.
"Your stupid too, who blocks with their forearm when glass is flying at them?"
Guy didn't change his gaze, at any chance he looked quite the type of person to be a mixture of confused and distracted, his gaze distant and not particularly attentive of anything at the moment but the dull fizzing running out against the pavement.
"Hiss!" He'd clamor retreating his arm a bit as it stung to the touch, though she quickly would manage to attain a better grip and look about it yanking a piece of her dress to court it.
"This really is unnecessary..." Guy would try to imply making his tone hover briefly and yet not giving a reason to why he was out here making a shady deal over something so over the counter as a prescription drug. "Though I appreciate it."
A light sigh of defeat in his own commending to her walking him home and treating his wound. Gulping down gingerly he would thumb through a perspective to find an excuse to escape but could tell by the look of her eyes he wasn't likely to escape unscathed.
He'd nod all the same shrugging his coat off, the sleave a bit bloody but otherwise dry, long, and warm he'd drap it over her shoulders managing to tuck his wounded arm up into a cradle and hold it there softly.
"Lead the way.."

Well it had all been dealt with. Kazue blinked as the boy draped his jacket over her. Who would think that after all that she'd get some sort of gentlemanly treatment. He must have been scared of her or something. Though perhaps the offer to treat his wound properly so it doesn't get infected is what did it. Either way they were off. Kazue would stop every now and again, looking at the streets confused and then she would consult her phone. GPS built right in, you had to love that. After a little bit of their walk she would clear her throat a bit.
"Ehem... Uh... sorry about the... Monster can. I think my mom has a few at home if you want one."
She wasn't being nice to him because he looked like a hobo. No she actually felt bad for having caused what ever that was in the alley way to go south.
"But seriously... what was with the dude throwing glass because I saw you two switching cash for a can of monster? People do that in stores ya know..."
She shook her head. Her hair was dry by the time they reached her house. Well rather, the large apartment building the housed her penthouse. She stepped with him inside and the guard at the front desk eyed the boy. Kazue had eyes like her mother and saw almost every look anyone ever gave her. She hadn't worn contacts today either, so her Grey eyes turned cold and settled on the guard who looked a bit startled and went to randomly pushing buttons as she walked with the boy inside.
"Okay, just a short elevators ride up. Oh... Don't mind the cat or the fox. They have had their rabies shots."
She smiled as they stepped into the elevator and she pressed a button.
"Oh... if a scary Spanish woman is there... Don't make eye contact. It's like a challenge to her."
As the elevator dinged they stepped off the large hallway looked totally empty save for one door with the label "Velasquez" on it. She would swipe a little card she procured from her chest and then punched in a few numbers.
"Welcome Miss Kazue."
Came a robotic voice as the door opened. Kazue stuck her head in and looked around before pulling the boy in with her.
"Mom! I'm home! I brought a friend! It's a boy! You know... Real penis and everything!............"
She waited for a little bit. Nothing came from any of the rooms in the large house. Most of the decoration looked like something out of an oriental magazine, there were splashes of Spanish influence too, though mostly in the kitchen. It was a two bedroom penthouse but it was so large it was hard to believe it only harbored two bedrooms. Kazue was walking the boy through the house to her bathroom when this happened...
"BAH!" "Meow..." "Oh shit... the cat." "Bark!" "Gah and now the fox... Okay if we just... move this way... slowly..."
Kazue looked around them. They stood in a hallway with pictures of her and her mother. In front of them sat a calico cat, tail twitching lightly as he stared up at them both. Sure he looked innocent but Kazue knew better. Aiko, the fox sat behind them staring and wagging her tail. Her tongue happily lolling out of her mouth as she panted excitedly at the new scent and new face. The teen girl gently pushed the boy around the cat, slow like.
"Don't... look at them. They sense any bit of stupidity and you are as good as theirs..."

Guy remained quiet for the most part keeping his footing in line with the girl's choosing to cradle his injury and keep his mind distant from any ill-advised thoughts. He figured that in his current predicament he had no means of cleaning and recovering from the wound and that she was certainly his best option to get back to starts however the curiosity of why she'd been so courteous and fulfilling with this gesture did strike a bell. Guy knew people not to be so kind, it was a strange occurance to have anyone go out of their way for something so menial.
When she spoke up guy idly shifted to the side nodding silently, "I had a bit of a fix for it, stores round here have banned me from comin' in. As for the guy with the glass is a bit of a tweeker, doesn't know how to react to strange folk."
Guy edged once more stopping short and holding up a hand briefly to explain himself, "Not that you're strange or anythin' but yeah I appreciate the help."
Another dismissive nod implying for her to forget about his awkwardness about before stepping onwards keeping in pace as to make his body move slightly behind her to the side following in suggestion of her steps and body language.
About the time they'd reached the house his eyes scaled over it with great awareness, it'd seemed as though everybody in this city was a rich tycoonist or something. It was no wonder he didn't fit in.
"Ugh... sure.." Cats and foxes? When he was younger he tried hunting to eat them regardless of disease. As for the scary Spanish woman, he didn't really flinch to the challenge taking it as more of a joking measure than a testament to a real individual.
"Mom! I'm home! I brought a friend! It's a boy! You know... Real penis and everything!............"
"Huh?" Guy would pivot giving his head a small tilt, the kind a confused dog might make. Was he being displayed as only a sexual means? Rather than being a person, he was so very confused as to how these rich people operated.
As the pair made their ways into the room Guy found himself awkwardly standing in the corner holding his temporarily bandaged arm staring at the fox and cat with an idle mixture of pleasure and warmth. Most people simply codled them and affectional gave hugs and love but Guy found more of a conjoined lineage, the type of thing people found in shared living stances. He could sense behind shimmering eyes that they were very much alike, strays in one mannor or another.
"I... Ugh... Okay."
A lingering hand would lower away and pat the fox on the head briefly letting his thumb trail between the furrowed brows of the creature and feeling warmth returned before once further drawing back his palm. What now? He might inquire finding himself a damsel in a lost land.

It seemed that they were both a little awkward in how to handle other people. Kazue had already waved off his "strange folk" comment and helped him into her bathroom.
"Sorry about the penis comment. It was a test to see if my mom was home and what type of mood she was going to be in."
She laughed a bit nervously and blinked as Bandit and Aiko followed the two into the bathroom.
"Oi, I know he's new, leave him be."
The pets just stared. Bandit had the more 'i own this place' look going in his eyes. Kazue would motion for the boy she brought home to sit down on the toilet. Before he could, Bandit hopped onto the seat and meowed rather loudly.
"Ohhh yea a boy, go ahead and tell mom ya butt head, I don't think I'm in any danger here now bug off."
She shooed the cat off the toilet seat and rooted through her cabinets finding her first aid kit.
"Okay, lets have a look. I don't want this thing getting infected."
She said being more gentle this time as she removed the make-shift bandage from his arm.
"It doesn't look like it went too deep, but it still doesn't look all that nice."
She said softly and got out some peroxide. She poured a bit into the cap of the bottle and holding his arm steady poured a bit onto the wound.
"If it stings go ahead and yelp, no use trying to be a big tough guy. Lucky for you it doesn't look like it needs stitches."
She let the wound bubble up as the peroxide went to work cleaning it with little cotton balls, gently dabbing at the wound. Next she put some antiseptic on a cotton ball swab and patted it all over and on the wound. She seemed very focused and determined. She double checked the wound making sure it wouldn't need to be stitched up, she knew how. Her mother had shown her how to seal up wounds. Satisfied with the wound being cleaned, she got some gauze out and began to wrap up his arm.
"Okay... and now the tape to hold it there..."
She said to her self as she grabbed some medical tape and made sure the bandage wouldn't move. She smirked when she was finished.
"There we go. Now, don't keep this on there the whole time. You need to let the wound heal up and scab over but change the bandaging when ever the gauze gets too dirty looking okay?"
She said as she shooed her pets out of the bathroom.
"Come on guys, walking room please, the guy just got his arm cut up. Gosh."
She suddenly remembered she didn't know his name. He likely didn't know hers either, unless he paid attention to her door.
"I'm Kazue... By the way. What about you?"

Fuck!
Guy managed to bite down on his lower lip and grip at the edge of the counter feeling as though he might break it. Her offering to make him out to still be tough despite crying out was more a personal thing. The last time he wailed out for help he was tortured for days on end for being a weakling. Grimacing in the sharp, cold sting Guy would tense up feeling the sting grasp at him and eventually bubble away as the peroxide did.
"Got it, I'm not new to these kinds of things."
He didn't mean it to sound harsh despite the feeling that it did in his throat managing to smother a scowl and make a smile however forced the effort was.
"I'm Guy," He'd respond still etching a stale circle around the wound with his finger despite it being wrapped he could feel the slight sting to it trecking the line, "You go to school round here? Or homeschooled? or I don't know."
It was an honest question, he surmised, all these rich folks have to have some sort of education. Or they might have bought it.

Though he sounded harsh, Kazue didn't take offense. She wasn't one to start sobbing at the moment of a slightly annoyed tone. She figured his arm still hurt. She would get him some Advil to dull the pain.
"Heh, amusing name. Guess no one can forget it though."
She flashed her trademark smirk and lead him out of the labrinth like hallway and towards the kitchen where the Advil was kept. Also, she still owed him a can of Monster.
"Yea actually, my mom used to have me in a private school but I just met my dad recently and he told me about a couple of siblings I have going to the Public high school here. I had my mom enroll me so I could meet them."
Rather personal subject but Kazue was like her mom in that way. She didn't care who knew what about her life. People were going to judge you any way right? Right. She reached up into a cabinet in the kitchen and fished out the Advil bottle, then got him a can of Monster from the fridge.
"Here, take some Advil. It will knock some of the sting out. Sorry about getting you cut up. You could have let the glass come at me though. I'm not some spoiled little rich girl."
Said the girl living in a penthouse at the top of an expensive building with everything she ever wanted lining every damn wall of her place. The irony in some peoples words. Really now.
"My mom actually taught me how to dodge projectiles really well. She used to go to a Public high school that was like mega bad. She got shot twice."
Kazue said as if it were a perfectly normal topic. She went to the sink and tried to rinse some of the monster drink from her hair so it wouldn't look so icky.
"Mom used to be a pit fighter too, and she was part of something called the Knights. Only Female in the gang."
Kazue said with pride. Her mother's past of a rebel was something Kazue always wanted to experience her self to be honest. She could listen to her mother talk for hours about it. She took the hair ties out of her hair, letting her black hair fall wet around her shoulders and she walked to a small closet in the hallway to get a towel. She wrapped her hair up in the towel to dry it off.

Guy would silently follow through glassy hues feeling himself somewhat fading, be it from the blood loss or just simply being tired he couldn't be sure but eventually followed to a small bottle of advil and taking the base of it gingerly. Two soft shakes would emburse a few pills that he capped just as quickly only to turn away the monster can feeling that the mixture might have some unruly side effects. All the same it made his mouth water and an unruly tongue came out of his lips to coat them in a thin layer of saliva.
"It's not like I'm about to get someone stabbed on account of something like that."
Guy would draw a light snicker over the account. Though many at school were beginning to see him as sort of the card shark bad guy with all these shady appearances he'd yet to earn a title of doing anything bad whatsoever. Unless fairly winning in gambling occassions was evil. Frowned upon certainly but he was far from dastardly.
"Regardless of background I think I'd same for anyone." Guy would shrug frankly rolling his back shoulders before plopping down and sprawling out on the bed enough so to let his fingers linger in the comfortable positioning. Hmmm soft. He'd hardly felt anything as soft in his life and felt lost in it. Even though Kazue stood up to go about talking of her mother's past and went to work on her attire, Guy happened to fall asleep. Zzzz

Kazue hadn't really been thinking but as the boy turned away from the monster she understood. Well at least she remembered her mother telling her that wasn't a good thing. Her mother got a few hang overs now and again and sometimes Kazue had to get her medication and a drink.
"Here... water is best to swallow those down. You can chill out on the couch if you want. The clouds look pretty gnarly right now. I don't think you should be caught in the rain with that cut."
She gave him a glass of cold water and motioned towards the large couch which faced a rather nice sized television. One look outside and it was easy to tell that she was right. The dark clouds covered the city below in gloom and people began to prepare for rain.
"I'm going to clean up a bit. Oh, if the crazy Spanish woman I warned you about comes in and asks what the hell you are doing here. Tell her you are with me. She SHOULD leave you alone but I am not making any promises. As for the cat and the fox...uh... don't pet the cat. He likes to scratch boys."
She warned as her calico picked a spot to nestle down and stare at the young lad rather intently. She smiled at him and handed him the TV remote then headed off to really get cleaned up. She felt gross from having been trapped hiding behind that dumpster. He could hear the shower turn on and not shortly after that the fox he had pet earlier would go and follow him. He could look around if he wanted. There were pictures galore. Most of Kazue and a silver haired Spanish woman. Though there were other pictures of the silver haired woman being younger, about Kazue's age surrounded by a bunch of high school boys. Some images even had labels telling who was in what picture.
Soon a Spanish woman would bust through the door rather loudly. She carried was seemed like a million bags on each arm and her hair was pulled back into a tight ponytail. Sun glasses covered her emerald green eyes and she shouted out.
"KAZUE! I'm home!"
Since Kazue was in the shower and didn't hear, Silk shrugged it wasn't until she got to the kitchen and set all her bags down that she noticed a boy in her home.
"...Who the hell are you? KAZUE!!! WHAT THE HELL IS A KID DOING HERE?!"
No answer from her daughter. The Spanish woman leaned on the kitchen counter. A tube top left nothing to the imagination and her skirt was long and flowing but she looked nothing close to being as nice as Kazue. A bullet scar on her right arm, one hidden under the skirt on her left leg. She would pull those glasses off her face and set them on the counter. Emerald green eyes stared at him as if she was judging if he would be a good sort to let be around her daughter.

*BANG!*
The gunshot went off. Guy could see it all like some black and white movie played on silent. A grizzled old man with fading teeth; some orange and others yellow, a significant lot chipped or missing. He smiled silently at the pair now boxed into the corner of the ally way a silent sort of pride given off with that smile managing to light the corners of the hall glaring them once over. The black and white movie would slowly trace over, the floor lighted with a veil of red coating the characters.
Falling back into darkness Guy only heard the words, "Who the Hell are you?"
It was a good question something even he wanted to know.
ZzzzzZzzzzzz..... Plop.
Guy would find himself rolling off the couch's edge landing face first onto someone's foot. Groggy eyes would tear up shifting skyward beneath someone's skirt before slowly coming to resolution.
"huh?"

Silk stared down at the boy who had been watching her tv and apparently had fallen asleep. Now he lay at her feet and stared up her skirt. She raised a brow.
"...Cute... get up."
Kazue came out of her bedroom, her hair wrapped up in a towel and she was wearing a tight fitting t-shirt with a nice pair of ripped jeans.
"Oh hey mom!"
Silk turned to look at her daughter before stepping aside and pointing at the boy.
"He's cute... but what the hell is he doing here and who the hell is he?" "Oh! Uh... heh. His name is Guy. He uhm... He saved me.... Yea."
Kazue said as she pulled a water from the fridge and approached her mom and Guy. Silk stared at her daughter and raised a brow. She said absolutely nothing which resulted in Kazue blinking and smiling nervously.
"Seriously?" "Uh... yep..."
A bit more silence went by and Silk continued to stare at her daughter. Finally Kazue pointed at her mother.
"Oi! No mi gusta mama! No! Don't you look at me like that woman! I bring one boy home and you think that!? What the heck is wrong with you!?" "Hey! I didn't say anything. If you think I'm thinkin' that... you must have a guilty conscience."
silk replied with a shrug. Kazue just glared before sipping her water. The young girl would stick her tongue out at her mother before turning to Guy.
"Sorry about my mom Guy... I told you I lived with a crazy spanish woman." "No no, You are loca my dear." "Oh don't you call me crazy you old lady. You are rude to people all the time." "Uhuh, and why pray tell did this boy need to save you?" "...It isn't important, what is important is you treat my guest nicely." "Mmmhmm...I see... Very well then. I'll hear it from you later then."
Silk would go off towards the kitchen.
"Are you staying for Dinner Guy?"
Silk would ask as she bent over and began to pull out things for dinner. Kazue would smile at him and sit on the couch.
"You can if ya want."
Kazue told him with a shrug before sipping her water.
