Though they only had to make it up the drive way, to Kazue it felt as though it was taking a life time. She felt the limo stop and heard their driver get out of his seat. She finally had her self calm and smiled at her younger half-sister. Mai was sweet to have comforted her. The door to the limo was opened and Kazue watched as Ryu escaped. For a moment, Kazue looked a bit sad, but then a smile crossed her lips and she followed her little sister out of the limo and up into the house of her family. She had been here once already, but it felt different this time around. Perhaps it was because she was related to them this time, or rather knew she was related. Last time she had no idea. They would make their way to Mai's room and Kazue would step into her younger sister's room.
"Sugoi, imouto-chan."
Kazue said looking around her little sister's room. Though the room may have been plain Kazue still thought it was nice. She could even see the kimono she had given to Mai hanging in the closet with her other ones. She smiled seeing it there. It was nice to know her younger sister liked it. Kazue hmmed a little at everything. It didn't look much like her room. Kazue's room was full of clothes yes, but everything in it told of her personality. From the sock she left on the floor, to a glow in the dark start on her ceiling, it all had personality. Though... Mai's room was plain. Simplistic. Kazue wondered... if Mai liked it this way, or if this was something she did cause they haven't been living here long. Either way Kazue smiled at her little sister.
"It is a very nice room Mai-chan. Promise, when I come to sleep over, we will sit and give each others make overs in here. I don't think Ryu wants us smelling his room up with girly things."
Kazue giggled and poked Mai gently in the nose. Kazue would look across the hall to Ryu's room door. She was a little hesitant about going over there and decided to calm this by talking to her little sister. Surely Mai could help set her mind at ease.
"Ne, Mai-chan...Ryu has a girlfriend right?"
Oh Kazue could smack her self for this question. Though she needed to know. If he did, it certainly would help her get over her conflicted feelings.
While the children were away, the parents would play. 15 years is a long time to be separated. Chances are... you wont be the same when you meet up again. Hell, chances are you wont have the same feelings for that person. In the case of Kazuya and Silk, that was clearly not a problem. The two had started off talking about the care of their children and making plans to make this family thing work. Now, parked a block away from Kazuya's home the two sat kissing. Rather passionately I might add. It was almost if they never left that place they were in 15 years ago. Silk still felt her heart pounding in her chest as Kazuya kissed her, and her arms fit ever so neatly around his neck to keep him close. They had been kissing on and off for the last bit of their ride and each kiss grew into something more.
Silk would be the one to break the kiss this time. Gently pulling away from Kazuya's lips with a soft smile on her own. She would look up at him and unwrap one of her arms from around his neck to gently brush some of his hair from his face.
"Well... I certainly didn't expect this to be happening tonight..."
She said softly. Of course meaning how quickly they had fallen into old habits. Not that she was complaining mind you.

Seeing Kazue look a bit sad watching Ryu bail out of the limousine like he had a plane to catch, Mai would smile comfortingly at her older half-sister and see Kazue smile before following her out of the limo and into their house, Mai leading her to her room. "My room's not really all that amazing nee-chan..."Mai mumbled embarrassingly, her room may have been pretty simple and plain decoration and arrangement-wise, but it was not only because she liked to keep everything neatly arranged, but also because she spent most of her time not in her room, but outside, and liked having everything, especially her art supplies, easily reachable and accessible. "Thanks nee-chan, and I promise! You will be sharing a room with Ryu, but we can sit in my room and do whatever we want in here, that nii-san wouldn't really like happening in his room!"Smiling happily back at Kazue, giggling as her nose was gently poked, her smile faded somewhat seeing Kazue look over across the hallway at Ryu's room. It was still clearly obvious to Mai that there was still awkward feelings between her adoptive older brother and her older half-sister, she really hoped the two of them could sort their feelings out for each other. "...? No, I'm 100 percent sure he doesn't. Why do you ask, nee-chan?"Mai looking at Kazue curiously, speaking of Ryu, he was lying on his bed and listening to some music, his eyes closed and his headphones plugged into his music player clamped firmly over his ears, his bedroom door currently shut. "... Is it because... you... like nii-san, nee-chan? As in, like like?"Silk breaking the kiss this time, Kazuya's gun metal gray eyes would look into Silk's dark brown eyes, returning her soft smile with a slight smile of his own as she looked up at him. Feeling her unwrap one of her arms from around his neck, gently brushing some of his hair away from his face, a slight smirk slowly formed on his face as he leaned in closer to her, his forehead gently resting against hers. "... Old habits die hard it seems..."He'd then lean in and give her a quick but passionate kiss, pulling away and continuing to smirk slightly at her. "... Being away from each other for fifteen years seems to have not changed a single thing..."

Kazue smiled down at her little sister as she made a mental note to look up what sisters do for sleep overs. Maybe she could get her mom to buy them some arts and craft stuff since Mai liked those things. Though as the topic changed to Ryu and if he had a girlfriend, Kazue found her self wishing she hadn't asked. Little Mai had questions of her own and Kazue didn't want to keep secrets from her little sister.
"Well I uh..."
Kazue would bite her lower lip a bit and drop her voice to a hushed whisper. How was she to know that Ryu was listening to his music and there for wouldn't hear them.
"M-maybe... a little...but... I mean... we are siblings so that... that is stupid."
Kazue laughed a little nervously and smiled weakly at her little sister.
"Don't worry Mai. It is just a harmless little crush. I'll be over it soon."
Kazue wasn't sure she was saying that to reassure Mai or reassure herself.
Silk on the other hand was having no inner qualms with her self. She quite enjoyed being able to be with Kazuya again. Though she had to admit, calming her personality to be around his children would be a bit of work but it would be worth it, for both Kazue and her. Silk would move after the second kiss and slip her self into Kazuya's lap.
"Is that a good thing or a bad thing?"
She asked softly before placing a gentle loving kiss on his lips. Her arms wrapping around him again as she just enjoyed the feel of him being so close.

"I don't think it's stupid. You and nii-chan aren't blood related like you and I are nee-chan, so if you really like him, it would fine with me, and I know dad would be fine with it too. I really do think you and Ryu look good together Kazue, and I'm not worried about it nee-chan, but I think you should be asking yourself, do you really want to get over your crush on Ryu?"
Mai knew she didn't need to be reassured that Kazue would get over her crush on Ryu, it was plainly obvious to her that Kazue had more than just crush on Ryu, more like she really liked him, but she just didn't know or realize it yet. If anything, it felt more Kazue had said it more to try to reassure herself. Whether it actually worked or not, remained to be seen.
"If you really care about Ryu, you should follow your heart, nee-chan..."
Feeling Silk slip into his lap, it felt just like that one night they had gone out to a club, it had been a few weeks after they had first met each other and spent Christmas together, in Tokyo, Japan.
"... I would say it is a good thing, do you not agree? It feels like we have been together this entire time... even though we have not..."
Silk placing a gentle loving kiss on his lips, he would kiss her back as he felt her arms wrap around him, his own arms held loosely around her waist and holding her closer to him. Pulling away, he'd smile slightly at her, before leaning down and giving her another kiss, this one more passionate than any of their other previous kisses, pulling away after several minutes passed to breathe.
"... You do know we'll have to go into the house eventually..."

Kazue looked at her little sister and blinked. For someone so young, Mai seemed to have a pretty good understanding of the situation. Kazuya and Mai would be okay with her liking Ryu? She thought of her mother for a moment. How exactly would Silk react to this? Kazue didn't know and to be honest she was a little fearful of how her mother might react. She would smile at Mai and nod gently though.
"You are very smart ya know? Heh. Right now though... I think we have so much going on, it would be best if I got over my crush. Besides... Ryu has other interests I'm sure."
She would smile at her little sister before looking over at a clock and tilting her head.
"Ne... Imouto-chan... Shouldn't our parents be home by now?"
Silk smiled at Kazuya and gently brushed her fingers through his hair. She looked thoughtful for a moment at his question about her agreeing, before smirking and nodding softly.
"Of course I agree. I rather like it being this way."
Silk had to admit, every time he kissed her... her heart beat rapidly and she felt a bit weak. The things that loving someone did to you...
"I suppose you are right. Knowing Kazue... She is going to start asking questions if we aren't in there soon."
Silk would slip out of Kazuya's lap and begin to adjust her kimono so it looked the way her daughter had made it. Kazue would be none the wiser of Silk having let herself 'breathe'. It wouldn't take her long before she was ready and would open the truck door. If this ride to his house was any indication of what would happen in Japan... well Silk was quite happy with this thought.

"I don't know nee-chan, I don't think Ryu is interested in anyone else, but if you're sure, I can't really stop you..."
Mai smiling back in uncertainty at Kazue, seeing her look over at her nearby alarm clock, Mai would nod in agreement. Even Ryu, who was still listening to music, had looked over at his clock and was starting to wonder what was taking their father so long to get home.
"Yeah, they should be. Dad isn't that terrible at getting lost, maybe they took a different route home and hit some construction or a roadblock and had to detour or something. I'm sure dad'll be home soon."
Smiling reassuringly at Kazue, Mai would gesture for her to follow her, and lead her down to the kitchen, Shiro trotting over to them and mew happily up at them, as Mai refilled Shiro's water bowl before opening the fridge and looking inside.
"You want anything, nee-chan?"
Seeing Silk smile and feel her gently brush her fingers through his hair, he'd smirk slightly seeing her look thoughtful for a moment before smirking and nodding, the two of them kissing passionately once more before pulling away to get some air.
"... Then we should get going then, lest she end up calling either of our cellphones demanding to know where we are."
Silk slipping out of his lap, Kazuya would start the engine up and drive down the block while Silk adjusted her kimono, reaching his house and heading up the driveway, pulling up in front of the door and cutting the engine. Pulling the keys out of the ignition and opening the truck door, he'd close the door and move to the other side, waiting for Silk before leading her inside.
Hearing no greeting, which meant probably meant their children did not hear them, he'd head up the stairs to his room, Kuro trotting over to greet Kazuya and Silk, before heading out of the room and downstairs, leaving the two of them alone.
"... Now, where were we?"

Kazue didn't want to think she was wrong. Besides... Ryu didn't have a crush on her. They were just friends. It was only herself that had this crush. She nodded softly to herself as if to confirm her thoughts. She would look at Mai and nod again.
"Well I hope my mother isn't bothering our father. She gets pretty annoying at times. Then again... They probably just hit a lot of traffic lights or something."
Kazue said trying to find an explanation. Her mother would stay out late, but she also had a habit of telling her daughter how late. The dark haired girl would follow her little sister into the kitchen and when offered something would nod softly. Seeing Shiro, Kazue would lean down to scratch at his ears lightly before letting him go off to do what ever.
"Do you have any Ramune? I think its that japanese soda stuff. I had it for the first time ever when I went to see our dad in Japan. It tastes really good."
Silk and Kazuya had managed to make it to his room with out the children noticing. There was no lecture from her daughter when they walked in so the children must have been getting along. It made her smile to think about it. Once in Kazuya's room the silver haired woman blinked and smiled at Kazuya. Kuro mewed which distracted her a moment and she leaned down to tend to the cat before he left. Her hand gently scratched his ears and then out the door he went.
"Well, I don't know. We already have plans for Japan. Kazue will be here nice and safe..."
Silk would wrap her arms once again around Kazuya. She would kiss his lips softly and smile.
"I don't really think there is much more to talk about. Apparently we have already fallen into old habits. Though you are much more affectionate then I remember."
She teased knowing very well children changed things. It would be a lie if she said having Kazue didn't make her more cautious about her lifestyle. Before Silk was the go anywhere, do anything type of girl. She never really cared about her life, drank way too much, and got into more fights then she should. Since she had Kazue though, the drinking has pretty much been just a beer or some other liquor a day. The fighting, well that is reserved only for Pit fights now. Never anything that would end up with Kazue losing her mother. She would like to think of her self as more responsible. Speaking of being responsible...
"Oh crap... I should get Kazue home. The kids have school tomorrow."
Silk said having caught the sight of the alarm clock. She would smile at Kazuya and would kiss him rather passionately for a moment before pulling from the kiss.
"You should get Ryu and Mai to bed too. I'll see you in Japan. We can finish everything up there."
Silk said with a smile before she left his room, no doubt he followed her to say goodbye to her and his daughter. Kazue of course was making faces at Mai and funny animal sounds for absolutely no reason at all. At least none that her mother could think of. She found the two still in the kitchen.
"Quack!" "Kazue, don't quack at your sister. Come on, say goodbye. I need to get you home for school in the morning and your father needs to get Ryu and Mai in bed."
Kazue jumped at the sound of her mother's voice and blinked a few times before pouting.
"Aw I was having fun. Alright alright...Bye bye Mai-chan. See you soon."
The dark haired girl smiled before hugging her little sister. Silk smiled and stood by and patiently waited for her daughter to say her good byes. Though she did notice Ryu wasn't in the kitchen with the girls.
"Oh, where's Ryu? Shouldn't you say goodbye to him Kazue?" "Er... uh...Mmhmm."
Kazue would blush a little and hurry off to Ryu's room. Taking a deep breath she would open his door and run in. A gentle hug would be wrapped around him and she would squeeze lightly trying to not make eye contact with her adopted brother.
"I gotta go home now Ryu-chan. I'll see you in school tomorrow... Bye."
And quickly the little dark haired girl let go before running from his room. She couldn't get out of there fast enough for she feared more embarrassing moments would come. As she came out of the hallway running, she would throw her arms around Kazuya and hug him tightly.
"Bye dad... You take care of mom when she's in Japan okay? Don't let that Sanada guy bully her." "Kazue, your mother doesn't get bullied."
Kazue would stick out her tongue at her mother before letting go of Kazuya and moving quickly to her mother's side. Silk offered a gentle hug to Mai and even hugged Kazuya though this was a very PG rated hug since they were in front of the kids. She kissed his cheek gently and smiled.
"Night Mai, Night Kaz... Tell Ryu I said goodnight as well."
Kazue hopped around a bit and Silk put a hand on her head to settle her. Soon the made their way out the front door. Kazue and Silk both jumped up into that monster truck with ease even in kimonos. Kazue waved excitedly from her seat in the truck and Silk started it up with a roar. She drove rather safely from Kazuya's drive way but the moment she reached the road the tires squealed and they sped off towards the city.

"I doubt your mom is bothering dad, or getting pretty annoying to him, and even if she is, dad is a very hard person to really annoy, he's unfazed by literally everything thrown his way, and just takes it all in stride. They probably just got caught in a traffic jam or something."
Mai opening the fridge after refilling Shiro's water bowl, he'd mew happily up at Kazue as she leaned down to lightly scratch at his ears before letting him go off to do his own thing, he'd trot over to his water bowl and lap happily away at it, seems the little guy was pretty thirsty.
"Yup! Dad brought us a huge supply of them when he came for vacation, it should be around here somewhere... Here we go!"
Pulling out a bottle of the original Ramune, which was lemon-lime flavored, she'd grab a bottle of strawberry flavored for herself, and close the door with her elbow. Setting the bottles down on the granite-topped island, she'd take a seat on one of the bar stools, and open hers up, taking a long, thoughtful sip from it.
"Nee-chan... You really should ask Ryu if he's interested in you or not... You might be surprised at his answer..."
The two of them managing to reach Kazuya's room without getting reprimanded by Kazue, Kazuya would smile slightly back at Silk, Kuro meowing happily up at Silk as she leaned down to tend to him and gently scratched his ears before he made his exit out of Kazuya's room and headed downstairs and to the kitchen, where his own full water bucket was located.
Feeling her wrap her arms around once more, he'd kiss her back softly and smile slightly back at her, his own arms wrapped around her waist, holding her close to him.
"I suppose that means we have everything sorted out then. Old habits are hard to shake, but when you are given the responsibility of taking care of two children, you begin to learn to show affection more. I'd be a very poor father if I acted emotionally distant to my own children, especially when they lost their mother..."
Since the day he had graduated from high school, from Public High School #774, and returned home to Tokyo, Japan, Kazuya was emotionally distant. He lived in a world where he cared, but didn't show emotions. Even when he and Silk first met and began seeing each other, he still remained emotionally distant. That all changed though, when Kazuki and Kaori, or Ryu and Mai, as they are frequently known as, were introduced into his life, and he became their primary and sole caretaker.
"... Yes, Ryu has summer school class tomorrow. I think he's a little jealous that Mai does not have to go to summer school too and gets to sleep in, but that is how it is..."
Smiling slightly back at her once more, he'd kiss her back passionately for a moment, before feeling her pull away, nodding slightly at her.
"Yes, I will, do not worry. I'm looking forward to seeing you in Japan, we will finish everything up there."
Returning her smile with a slight smirk of his own, he'd follow Silk out as she left his room, heading downstairs and finding Kazue and Mai still in the kitchen, his oldest daughter making funny faces and animal sounds at his youngest daughter, Mai giggling away happily, her mouth covered by her hands to try and stifle her laughter, to no avail. Mai jumping at the same time as Kazue at the sound of Silk's voice, she'd pout just like her older half-sister, since unlike her older siblings, Mai was really on summer vacation, and could stay up late if she wanted to.
"Bye bye nee-chan! I'll see you real soon!"
Mai beaming back at Kazue, she'd hug her older half-sister tightly and letting go of her, would run over to Kazuya and cling to his arm, Kazuya patting Mai gently on her head and smiling slightly down at her. Seeing Kazue blush slightly and hurry off upstairs, Kazuya would look down at Mai in mild wonderment, his youngest daughter giving him a slight motion of her head, indicating she'd explain everything to him later.
His door bursting open, Ryu would bolt upwards into a sitting position from surprise, finding his vision filled by black, wavy hair and wrapped in a gentle hug from his adoptive older sister, Ryu at a loss for words as he felt Kazue squeeze lightly and try to not make eye contact with him.
"I... uh... okay... Bye, Kazue..."
Ryu left a little bewildered by Kazue making a mad dash out of his room, the door clicking behind her, Ryu was a little dumbfounded, but all the same, pulling his headphones off, he'd head out of his room and stand at the railing overlooking the main foyer, his arms resting lightly on top of them.
Walking into the main foyer with Mai and Silk, Kazuya found himself nearly bowled over as Kazue threw her arms around him and hugged him tightly.
"... Goodbye Kazue, do not worry, I will take care of your mother, though she does not need me to protect her from Sanada-san bullying her, she can handle herself well enough, I assure you..."
Mai giggling at Kazue sticking her tongue out at Silk before letting go of their dad and moving to her mother's side, Mai hugged Silk back gently, latching back onto their father's arm as he hugged Silk back, feeling her kiss his cheek gently and smile back at her.
"... Good night Silk, I will make sure to tell Ryu..."
"Good night oka-san!"
Kazuya unlocking and opening the door, Mai continuing to giggle seeing Kazue hop around a bit, Silk putting a hand on her head to settle her, after they made their way out and jumped into the truck, Kazuya and Mai would wave back at Kazue from the front door as the truck started up with a roar, watching the truck head down their driveway, and then peel out onto the main road and towards to the city, Kazuya closing the door the moment the truck was out of sight, Ryu having already returned to his room by this time.
"... Kaori, why was Kazue blushing when she was asked to say goodbye to Kazuki?"
"Well..."
The two of them heading into the living room, sitting down, Mai would explain to Kazuya the reason, by the time she was finished, Kazuya had a thoughtful look on his face.
"... I see. Well, I don't see anything wrong with her crush on Kazuki, they are not blood related, as you stated to her. I agree with you though, I think Kazuki does like Kazue... and Kazue likes Kazuki more than she knows she does. I'll tell you what, I'll talk to Silk, and while I think it's best we let Kazue figure it out for herself, everyone except her can tell just how much she likes him. However, now it's time for bed Kaori, good night..."
"Good night daddy..."
Mai trooping off upstairs to her room, Kazuya would follow after her, and head into his own room, to get ready for bed himself, he'd have to start packing and get ready to go back to Japan in a few more days. He was looking forward to it though...
(End)
