Patrick's eyes would rise from his daughter only when that nurse made her way into the room. In fact, it wasn't even then that they'd rise, only when the nurse spoke to him, that look of love, reserved only for his child turning into an attentive demeanor as she finished asking her question. Patrick would smile at her, shaking his head, "No, she'll be fine, thank ye for yer concern though."
Patrick had a pretty good idea of what Kazumi needed at this point, and there was no way in hell that he was going to tell the nurse, the doctor, anybody what she needed. She wasn't going to be looked upon with disgust. She wasn't going to become some experiment. That just wasn't going to happen. So he'd just deny them the ability to treat it until never.
Patrick would ignore the outstretched nurses arms though. There was no way his little girl was leaving his sight. He was just too paranoid for that. Too many bad things had already happened in his life time. His baby getting stolen not even an hour after her birth was not going to be one of them. Though Patrick would be courteous and polite. Smiling at the woman saying, though there was a hint of that my baby's not leaving my sight implied even if he was being especially courteous, "If ye brought me the stuff I'd be more then happy to do it myself"
Would the nurse understand? Probably not, at the very least, not the very real concerns Patrick had. Ones based on experiences that she wouldn't know about, nor would she understand. Patrick wasn't going to explain anything to her either. The only thing there was for this nurse to understand was that this child was not leaving his or Kazumi's sight. Although with her question on the name of their child Patrick would answer with a smile, "Ruth Leigh O'Connor."
The nurse wouldn't really fight, she'd just turn to leave. Patrick smiled as she did. He didn't really want to have to fight with the nurse. It was better this way. Because he sure as hell wasn't giving his daughter to anyone, even if she was a nurse. Apparently Kazumi had felt something too because without much of a warning, not long after the door closed she'd shoot up and ask where their daughter was. To which Patrick would merely smile at her shushing her softly, "Shhhhh, Ruth's right here love. She's fine, the nurse wanted to taker her, but I didn't let her."
