Time to unpack, a time to get comfortable. Living in strange lands with a man she had never met before. Who was he? Oh right, he was the father. Did he even count as a father? He wasn’t around at all. ANYWAYS! No time for self pity! It was time to go for a walk. Taking a deep breath, she’d fumble with the locks and open the door to the brisk night air. The cool breeze danced across her cheeks as she stepped out and pulled the door closed behind her.
Her hair was pinned pulling most of her hair from her face, while the back was pulled into loose pigtails. She was wearing a simple men’s dress shirt, a form fitting black tank top, a necklace with a skeleton key, a purple and black studded belt, a pair of form fitting black pants with side pockets and various zippers on them, and lastly black and white converse shoes.
Without looking in either direction, she decided to take a right turn and started walking forward. She didn’t look at the houses, she stared at what lay before her. A frown spread across her face as she continued to walk. This is where I call home. I wonder if it’ll be less boring than the last. She’d continue to walk straight, with no particular destination in mind. The sounds of the night. Passing cars, the loud hum of a motorcycle as it raced down the street, and the rustling of nearby leaves. A far more relaxing night than those of the summer.
Looking up, she’d see it.
THERE.
Right in front of her.
It was small...
Terrifying.
IT BROUGHT FEAR TO HER VERY CORE!
Meow!
”Ah.....AHHH! AHHHH!” Her ‘ah’ started quiet and then realization clicked in. ”BLACK CAT!”
That black cat... had crossed her path! HER PATH!
Without time for a second thought, Steyr began to run as fast as she could. She had to get away from the bad luck. As foolish as she knew it was. Distance between her and the cat grew, until it was nothing more than the empty street. How many had she gone down? Where was she? Instead of standing on the street, she decided to turn down a path for a park.
Not seeing the drainage in front of her, her foot hooked on the cement that stuck out of the ground. Flying forward, she’d slide along the muddy ground and drop right into the pond. SPLASH! There was a pause from those who walked in the park, although they continued on their merry way. Ignoring the pain of others.
”Damn cat!”

What to do? What to do? The thought echoing in Legion's mind. The night was young and he was quite bored. Quite restless. Normally this generally was the indicator of a very bad night for some one, though tonight that was uncertain. Legion wasn't entirely sure how he felt. The need for pain and suffering somewhat lessened right now, why? He was unsure, though his guess what that it had something to do with his extra curricular activities today at school. Although he did still feel that need, just, he wasn't sure he had to kill tonight, but that didn't necessarily mean that he wasn't going to. Likely he would, but that wasn't something to worry about just yet, he was just glad to be out of that cell of a room.
Regardless, he kept his eyes open as he prowled around, looking for trouble. Enjoying the night breeze not exactly something that he could do. Making his way to the park, where it was generally darker, less people. But at the same time it gave him more play time with his victims. Especially this early in the night. While there were still people in the park people were clearing out, leaving large areas of the park be. That made everyone a potential plaything in Legion's book.
Although he was kind of looking for something different. Not your simple murder or torture session but something different. He wasn't exactly sure what that was, but there was a sense in him that demanded it and it was the not knowing what it was that killed him. Gnawing at his brain, trying to get out but unable to. Unable to figure out what that different something was. Growing slightly irritated as he made his way through the park he gave off a low growl. That irritation coming from the fact that as time passed on that something different wasn't just a new thrill, but something that he needed...
Lost in thought, trying to figure out just what that might be his thoughts were interrupted by a girl cutting across his path. She was running, not just out for a stroll but running for something. Legion looked quickly to see what it was, quite intrigued, but saw nothing. Turning his head back to watch the girl trip and fall in the mud, only to slide into the pond. Her little accident getting a amused chuckle from Legion, causing him to take a step in her direction, choosing not to ignore this pain, but decided to relish in it. As she righted herself, at least enough to mumble out the cause of her misfortune Legion would pause rrealizing that that was what she had been running from.
"Cat?" Legion asked as a slight confirmation of his thought, pausing before he couldn't help but laugh, clearly not with the girl...

”Cat?”
”Yeah! A black cat! Devilish beasts! The whole lot of them. Bringing bad luck to those who cross their path!” Steyr spoke in such a serious tone, it was rather laughable.
Who in this day and age believed that?
Her back was to the stranger as she looked out to the pond, all while wringing her shirt out. and repinning her hair into place. ”Although, this spill was all my fault! Yes.. It couldn’t have been a full black cat!” Nodding to herself, as if to reinforce the belief that it wasn’t the cat. ”Cursed cats!”
”In any case, how would one dispel the curse of a black cat?” Drumming her fingers on her chin, neglecting to notice there was a person behind her. ”How... how how how.” Turning, she start walking back to the edge of the pond. Looking up ever so slowly to see....
O_____________O
BAM
THERE WAS SOMEONE THERE!
”AHH! I...I mean! Good evening.” Her face was red to her ears.

Wow. This girl certainly was superstitious. That was something that probably should have been annoying. But Legion figured he could tolerate it, to a degree. The superstition anyway, not like he could deny the supernatural, you know, being a demon and all. The seriousness of her tone though, she absolutely believed it, Legion didn't, perhaps he knew better. As she started to ring out her clothes she continued to ramble on, though this time to say that it wasn't the cat, apparently.
But she continued to talk on, wondering how to stop some curse or something? Who knew? Not Legion he was barely paying attention at this point. Her incessant rambling beginning to irritate him. Voice gnawing at his nerves. As she repeated that word over and over again, annoyed he would ask, demonic tone coming out unable to not make some sort of a biting remark, "Do you ever shut up?"
And then she continued to back up. Further and further, until...
BAM.
Truth was she didn't knock Legion over. Also it was entirely possible for legion to have completely avoided being bumped into. Did that make this any less her fault? No, as far as Legion was concerned it was still one hundred percent her fault. No doubt about it. She should have been in more control of her body, more aware of her surroundings, so on and so forth. But she did anger Legion. It was something that would demand some sort of recompense. A low dark voice Legion would ask, the demon clearly in his voice, "You believe in the supernatural?"
He knew the answer, he more meant this to be, somewhat forboding though. Bringing the idea of the supernatural back into play, although at the moment he wasn't entirely sure of what he was going to do exactly, but....
The night was young...

She hadn’t heard his first question, for her mind was aflutter with oh shit oh shit oh shit’s. Backing up, she’d look up at the dark sounding fellow. He didn’t look that scary, although the stranger certainly wasn’t someone she should trifle with. When did that ever stop her anyways? Getting her butt kicked was what made up a lot of her time back home. ANYWAYS! His voice was something that sent a shiver up her spine. It was scary! Demonic even! Something she had expected from a horror movie.
Deep breath.
Was it too late to regain face? To not look like a babbling idiot?
Should I run? PPPFFTTT! What is the worst that could happen?
Her mind longed to run, while her overconfidence told her otherwise. Nothing bad would happen, just play it cool. Yeah, that’s right! Cool.
”Yes, yes I do.” Steyr’s words had come out in a matter’o’factly tone, not what she had in mind. Something colder and smooth, if that was possible. Nope! She blew it. ”What about it? Hmm?” Crossing her arms across her chest, she’d straighten up and look at the stranger. Play it cool!
Meanwhile, her mind raced with rather silly thoughts.
Late night.. Cat crossed my path? Demonic sounding scary man... Think...nonhorror movie plots... Think nonhorror movie plots! Think nonhorror movie plots! Think nonhorror movie plots! Think nonhorror movie plots! Think nonhorror movie plots! Think nonhorror movie plots! Think nonhorror movie plots!Think nonhorror movie plots! Think nonhorror movie plots!

When the girl turned to face him there was fear. That much was clear to him. It wasn't incredibly visible, no, but Legion saw it all the same, in fact, one could say that he fed off of it. He loved all types of fear really, fear of death, fear of the unknown, fear of pain and suffering. It was all equally as enjoyable to him. So try as the girl might, she could not hide her fear from him, that deep breath really accentuating the existence of her fear to him. He wondered if she would run, or perhaps maybe she'd stay? Legion was quite interested to see what her decision was, but one way or another she would have to pay for bumping into him. He just hadn't decided how yet. Though death seemed, too mundane, too boring, so did merely torturing the girl. A mental sigh given as he watched the girl steel her courage.
Playing it cool huh? How entertaining. Perhaps this could be of some use to him. Provide for a different type of entertainment. He had become bored with the whole killing and torture thing when he was away from Azura. Something was changing, and he wasn't really sure what it was. He had mountains of questions and concerns, but he found that he couldn't quite concentrate on those questions without being in proximity of Azura. This was problematic because when he was in proximity of her those questions seemed less, large. He couldn't deny that he needed her, she was his soul and so when he was with her, all his concerns seemed to fade away unless she brought them up. But they were things that needed to be dealt with, he just found himself unable right now, for whatever reason. But back to the action at hand, a sick grin forming slowly on Legion's face as she answered in the affirmative, asking why.
"What about..." a dramatic pause be for the full effect of his demonic mimicry came on. White wings springing forth from his back, the leathery feather's color some what of an oxymoron. One that was not lost on Legion but seemed to him to be more of a trick, something like the light in a bug zapper enticing its victims to come and die. His voice losing all sense of humanity as he finished his question, "Demons?"

White?
Did demons have white wings?
At first she kept her face, but when the wings appeared she lost it all. How did he do that!? The first thing that managed to pass her lips, perhaps not the right thing. "White?" She looked horrified for a moment and shook head, attempting to regather her calm mind and confidence. She composed herself for long enough to begin her sentence," I do not believe in.... demons!"
Steyr was lying.
All while facing this scary man with wings, she couldn't help but wonder if it was a dream, or perhaps someone was playing an expensive trick on her. THAT HAD TO BE IT! right!?? RIGHT!? She was on the ridiculous show where they...what was the word? Punk people? Something like that! It was that, right?
A cold chill crept up her spine, it brought her back to what was happening. Green eyes looked up to face the demon man, although his gaze melted what confidence had been growing. Taking another hesitated step back, Steyr was having problems ripping her attention from the stranger. What if she turned her back and then... BAM! He rips out her still beating heart... with his bare hands!!
o______o;;
Perhaps it was time to run! YES!
RUN AWAY!
Although, before she managed to run any, there was another uneasy step backwards. Her heels met with the drain that stuck out of the ground. Back she fell, down into the mud! SPLAT!
So, this was the bad luck of a black cat, eh?
It's just a practical joke! It's just a practical joke! It's just a practical joke! It's just a practical joke! It's just a practical joke! It's just a practical joke! It's just a practical joke! It's just a practical joke! It's just a practical joke! It's just a practical joke! It's just a practical joke!

A genuinely pleased grin crossed Legion's face as he saw that terror in her eyes. That beautiful and pure terror. It was quite thrilling actually. To actually feel her terror, as something palpable in the air. Now this, this was just as good as actually carving someone up. On some levels better even. He couldn't quite describe it but it was absolutely fun, yeah, that was the word, to make someone suffer without even laying a hand on them. As the question rolled from her lips he couldn't help but chuckle. Taking a few steps toward her grinning, "Like a siren's call, people will think we're angels."
Grin still plastered across his face as he watched her try and compose her self, tried to put up some sort of defense. Shaking her head and trying so desperately to regain her composure. Quite amusing. And then, and then there was that declaration that was so obviously untrue. Another step taken towards her Legion would feign surprise, eyebrows raising, "Oh?"
Stretching his wings a bit, before relaxing them Legion would continue to stare straight ahead at her. The movement of the wings was really only to prove to her that they were indeed very much real. As she took a step backwards Legion took another forwards, tilting his head slightly, grin returning to his face. He was actually quite enjoying this. Not really sure where it would end , but fairly certain that she would live the night. Eventually she would decide to run, but amusingly enough she'd trip into the pond again. Chuckling darkly as he strode forward next to her, he'd crouch down beside her.
When she was able to see she'd see shadows extending from Legion's finger tips, claws that he had formed from the shadows. Rolling his fingers slightly as if creating a wave Legion would nonchalantly watch his new claws before looking down at her. Reaching down with one hand he'd stretch out a finger to drag the claw along her cheek, although he wouldn't draw blood, yet.
"No demons huh?" Legion asked, feigning thought before pressing that claw into her cheek, drawing a little blood, not much just a little scratch, continuing his question rather bored, "You sure about that?"

White wings to lure in those who believe in the heavens, how cunning. Wait.... She was scared, but that thought just kind of popped into her mind. She looked up at him, watching as a horrifyingly strange fellow watched shadows become claws. He seemed fascinated... WAIIITT! He made shadows into claws. No human could do that! Right? Maybe it was a trick of the light! It had to be that.
It's not real! Not real!
It wasn't until a claw traced a line down her skin, that she knew it was real. The very touch sent shivers up her spine, her terrified green eyes locked onto those of the stranger. Lying was a bad idea! She certainly had hoped it would have gone better had she told the truth. As the claw punctured the skin, the dark haired girl winced. Her eyes were starting to water as she looked at him, fear crawled over and smothered her. Her breath caught in her throat for a moment, her wide eyes stared at him. "I.....I... I...."
BREEAATTTTHHHH!
O_____O
Her mind was blank, she couldn't find her words. Looking away, she'd cower before him. Think think think think think think think think think think think!
Thinking finally came back as she desperately attempted to find an escape route. Cowardliness in the face of a horror movie villain. It was at the point where the character would make a clever get away, right? Probably! It was all Steyr could hope for.
"I d-d-d-..do believe in d-d-d-demons." She stuttered, having a difficulty forcing out each word. Closing her eyes, the girl would think for a moment. You can do it! Taking a deep breath and bringing her arm up, she'd attempt to elbow him in the face. Using all her power in the blow, Steyr would get to her feet and run for it. Leg's weak from fear, she'd rush forward.
RUNNNNNNN AWWWAAYYYYYY!
Damned cat!

There was fear and disbelief, it was all too evident on her face. She was scared, and Legion knew that, and loved it. He also knew that her disbelief was a source of hope. Clinging to the disbelief in a manner that would hope that this was just a bad practical joke. That any second now the lights would come on and a camera would appear as Legion said some witty line about her being on national TV. Unfortunately for her, Legion was no TV anchor, and the only witty lines he'd have for her were ones that she wouldn't want to hear. He had no plans to make her famous, unless perhaps it was to be a victim of a famously grisly murder. Though that wasn't likely because as Legion felt her suffering more thoughts came to mind, better ones.
But oh, how amazing that look on her face was when he drew blood. How absolutely perfect to watch that shiver run down her spine, to the core of her very being. The look of absolute terror in her eyes as she realized now, that this was no prank. No early Halloween enthusiast, but this was the real deal. There was the supernatural in this world and she had the absolute unfortune to cross paths with it. As her heart would race, breathing sped way up as she stuttered out those words Legion couldn't help but give out a sick little giggle. Watching her verbally pause as she looked for the words that she wanted, enjoying this all too much.
Though it was then that something strange happened. Legion had clarity of mind. Enough so to think on something. The one thing that he had been missing, or so he thought. A way to make this even more fun, even more enjoyable. He was actually able to think and his initial reaction was that there was a way that this didn't have to end. But how was that? Well it didn't do to spoil the surprise now did it?
And then, then she did something that wasn't entirely unexpected, although it was disappointing. She tried to elbow him in the face. His hand would come up to block it as his claws disappeared, watching her get up and attempt to run off as he realized, this wasn't disappointing at all. In fact, he could use this, and so he stood up to chase after her, quite thrilled in the hunt.
Being faster then her he'd catch up to her relatively quickly, though he opted to stay behind her, and match his step with hers. Quickly timing her steps he'd use his left foot to kick her left foot inward as she picked it up off the ground to move it forward. His intention to trip her up and make her fall flat on her face...

It was time to escape! No looking back! That was always the down fall of those who ran. IT WOULD NOT BE HERS! She kept moving, heading to the edge of the park! TO THE STREETTSS! That was where it would be the safest, right? Her thoughts were drowned out by the thumping of her heart as she continued to run. Her breath was fast, even though she had only just started running.
Run run run
I have to get away....
Then her inner voice was lost too the fast beating of her heart and fast and deep breaths. The goal was in reach, she just had to pass the trees that outlines the park. Her foot was was kicked inward and she felt herself jolt forward and topple over. Down down down down! Into the rough dirt and little stones. In the fall Steyr had managed to scrape her hands and cheek on the ground, breaking the skin and finding little stones pressed into her newly acquired wounds and her knees.
This was the luck of a black cat.
Hitting the ground face first while being chased by a demon man! She was scared, trembling from head to toe as she attempted to get to her feet. Shaking so hard that the raven haired girl remained on her knee's, tears welling up in her eyes. Pain and fear consumed her once again. DAMN THAT CAT! Will the curse ever go away!?
Awaiting his approach, green eyes closed tightly in hopes that everything would fade away.
"It's not real! It's not real! It's not real!" Steyr whispered to herself in a low and shaky voice, hoping that she would wake in bed at any moment.
