27-19
That had been the final score when time ran out at the end of the fourth quarter during tonight's game, in favor of the home team, the Public High School #8011 Scorpions.
The noise from the crowd had been damn near deafening, to say the least. Even now, a lot of the faculty from the school were in shock at just how many people had turned up for the game, but Aryanna knew all too well why the numbers had been so large.
Ever since she had been appointed head of the cheer squad, she had been busting her ass, making sure that the rest of the girls got out there, did fundraisers, car washes and all that other bullshit in order to not only gain money for the school's athletic department but also to gain publicity. After all, this was their first game, and for the most part, the school was known for being a home for nothing but a bunch of juvenile delinquents, the worst of the worst, etc etc. Nobody wanted to come to a game and worry about getting caught up in the middle of some kind of battle or whatever....The rumors going around the city about the recent attacks on the school NOT helping matters in the slightest.
Yet, she had pulled it off. Okay, so maybe the right wording would be to say that they had pulled it off, but Aryanna was never about to give credit to anyone other than herself. Besides, every single event that they had done had been her idea, and regardless if she had actually taken part in them or not, the fact remained that none of them would have ever happened if not for her.
Just like tonight....She had been the only one to think ahead, to plan on their guys pulling off a huge win over the other team, and to throw together a pretty decent after-party for everyone to enjoy. All the other girls had said she was getting ahead of herself, but Aryanna had been certain and turns out....she was right. (It was taking everything she had not to point that out, though she had hinted at it at least a dozen times on the way to the party.)
Of course, her and the rest of the cheerleaders were the first to arrive, though only by a few minutes, if that. She had selected a spot outside of the city, not far, but far enough that they wouldn't have to worry about cops getting called, or parents tracking them down.
A nice little lake of sorts, man made, but a lake just the same. The water was a pretty enough blue color, though with the moonlight hanging overhead, it looked more black than anything, yet the way that the beams of light refracted off the rippling water's surface made the whole thing look that much more beautiful. The entire thing fed into by a river which ran through this portion of the state, and a man made dam creating a nice little waterfall just far enough away that the noise of the water rushing over wouldn't drown out the music which was now pumping through the speakers of one of her little boy toys SUV and the extra set of speakers he had set up in the back which was no opened up.
The area in which they were parking had a rather large clearing, though for the most part, the entire area was surrounded by trees roaring sound of water as it crashed down onto the rocks below. In the center of the clearing however, was a rather large fire, which was just starting to roar to life as some of the members of the football team went about throwing more glass onto the logs stacked there.
As for Aryanna? Well she was still decked out in her cheerleading uniform, and was currently throwing open the trunk of her car to grab out a huge box which contained about twelve different types of liquor.
That had been her job, to bring that. While another was told to bring beer, and another was told to bring anything else people might need or want to have a good time. In her mind, everything was set for this to be one hell of an evening, with plenty of room, plenty of scenery...enough warmth to keep her from freezing her butt off in her tiny little outfit, and plenty of areas to get "lost" in...(If you know what I mean.)
Yep, tonight was going to be great. A satisfied little smirk curling onto her lips as she used her elbow to try and slam the trunk shut, before working her way toward the area where drinks were being set up....fumbling a bit with the box, given how heavy it was....moving a bit slow...but managing...For now.

"Sooo..." "So what?" "So I mean are you going to the lake party tonight?"Evelynn managed to be the constant annoyance at Saph's side constantly applying a pressuring jab from beneath the girl's ribcage causing her to involuntarily twitch and flail just to gather a bit of stature to herself before fixating a hardly believable glare back. "I don't see the point, I don't know anybody here." Sapphira would state back rather irritated with the prospect of having to play her part around a bunch of other students. Especially after their little hoodwinked game would be pulled into the limelight, thats right, the girl never thought that far ahead. As it were once Raphael was discovered they couldn't go back to their old life. Would that mean that they would go their seperate ways? Would they make a new life for themselves here? It was a sticky situation, a terrible road to trek but she supposed these were thoughts to be considered in the future. "That's the point stupid, you meet people there." Another final nudge harder then before as Eve took a swinging stature to position herself before Saph looking victoriously, "Besides I am your ride afterall."Heh, a terrifyingly monstrous grin of a beast exchange before they got in the large truck. Black hummer, much too large for a small little blonde thing like her as it rolled into the offset mannor in the woods dropping to a stop before the engines cut out but the headlights remaining bright as ever over the scene. "Whelp."Huh? Before Sapphira could toss her glance around two boots met her rear end kicking her clear out the side door and onto the ground. "OUCH! EVELYNN! I-!""LATA SIS!"That cruel cackle from behind veiled windows rolling upwards before thrumming of music played and the giant hummer rolled off to an indisclosed location still onsite yet out of sight. Damnit. Gripping tight palms Sapphira would boil looking vexed as anybody could ever hope to be plotting the ultimate domise of her faux sister however yes she'd take great pleasure in that.

The rabble rousing of the lockerroom was somewhat awe inspiring despite the amount of points the defense let score. Cael held that contemptable resolve in the hands of his deep backs because surely the defensive line and the linebackers were certainly afraid of Cael to do any wrong. They shut down the Lion's running game, hell he'd even broken some kid's arm. A wry grin on his face at the time curling from ear to ear as he'd done so intentionally and not gotten caught. Regardless the team was given an hour to get ready before the party started and by that time the party was in fact in full swing.
Cael remained in his spare jersey, you know the one with out all the sweat and dirt mesh coating it. Yeah that one, and a pair of jeans and of course to top it all off that confident grin of his bloating all the more of his ego. Popping out of his Audi he'd march into the camp a victor greeted by cheers and boistful hoorahs by people he didn't think to know or care about. A few even from teammates, a comradery he'd shared with the other linebackers but rather scornful/fear ridden looks by the other defensive players. That's right as Defensive captain (so self proclaimed) Cael made sure not a thing was left open to mistake.
Tonight was about getting some, his victory demanded that he was to have to most fun of all the people here. It was simply a right of passage. Smirking as he peeled a corner to meet Aryanna, bumping into her so that her jostled load would fumble into his grasp arms locking in around her elbows and tugging her in close she'd be met with a grin.
"Someone's in a hurry."

She could hear one of the other girls on the squad chirping away behind her about something or other, but to be honest, Aryanna was not listening to a single word that came out of her mouth. As far as she was concerned, she was done dealing with the stress of those bitches until Monday, when she would rail their asses for the slightest flaws in tonight's performance. Tonight was all about getting drunk, having fun, getting laid and not giving a shit about anything. Which was exactly what she intended to do.
Rolling her eyes she would throw a look back over her shoulder at the other girl, snapping at her rather sharply and narrowing her hues upon her. "Shut up and go get drink or someth--" Her words cut short with a little "oomph" as she was brought to a stop by running into something rather ....solid.
Of course, her first reaction was to growl in irritation and snap her head back around to look at said person as she felt the box she was carrying being jostled about, and felt a pair of hands grasping her elbows...sufficiently bringing her to a stop...For now. Though as she opened her mouth to snap at the person for being an idiot, and about watching where they were going...a familiar voice would cut her off....Those oddly colored eyes raising to fall upon an all too familiar face, and her scowl melting into a smooth, coy little grin as she shrugged and shifted her weight a bit, one hip jutting out just slightly. "Well when you are the only one in charge of things with a brain, you tend to hurry. Not want idiots messing things up. No?"
She nodded and would take a step back, peeling herself from his grasp and tugging her box free from his arms, lips pursing slightly as she tilted her head to the side and then glanced toward the rest of the football team which was picking through her cheer squad like no tomorrow. "But then, you know all about idiots messing things up..do you not?" Of course referring to the rest of the team which he had to deal with, giving a little nod in their direction to signify such and then smoothly enough sliding her foot to the right and sidestepping him....more than ready to put this box down and get on with her evening. "But congratulations on win Cael...You looked amazing out there." Purring the words toward him as she passed, making sure to lightly nudge her hip against his own before sauntering on toward the drinks area.

Football. So that's what this sport was called. Legion had heard of it before. Never had seen it played before. He didn't really know the rules but he picked it up pretty quick, at least the examples of the rules that he saw. He had to admit, he liked the aggression of the sport. He figured if he played, it would be defense. Yeah, without a doubt defense. A chance to hit people, to lay them out and not only that but to get praised for it. What a thrill! Not that he ever looked for praise when he hurt people, but the concept here was amusing. Eventually though the spectacle was over, and the school that he was sent to destroy was victorious for now. He had come here to observe but in the end he had been thoroughly amused.
And now there was this after party to go to. Now Legion had no interest in partying but he was interested in watching the students. Learning some more names, some more players and not necessarily the ones on the field. But rather getting more info on the school. Who ever would make the biggest splash when he threw down their body in a crumpled heap for all to see. Learn who the pillars were of the school, both literally and not so, because he wasn't naive enough to think that the actual pillars were the only ones that this school looked up to in one way or another.
When he arrived at the lake in that parking lot he got out of the truck that he had boosted earlier that night. For whatever reason the idea of a pick up had just caught his eyes, and he wasn't exactly sure why, but it did. So he went with it. Whatever, after another night it wouldn't matter. He'd ditch the thing and get a new vehicle, with an ability that apparently hadn't been as innate as he had been previously led to believe. Something that was troubling, but not at the forefront of his mind.
With no one really to talk to, nor anyone he cared to he casually walked up to the drink table grabbing a beer, taking a sip and walking off near the lake. Watching the moonlight bounce of the water. With no one really important there yet, at least no one doing anything to give themselves a reason to be interesting Legion had not real interest in the party. Just to look out at the lake in the refreshing night air...

Kazumi's car pulled into the parking area designated by the vehicles that had come before her. She wasn't too keen on being here, much more into spending her nights at home, alone, with Ruth. But as it stood, tonight had been a sporting event, which was her deal right? Yeah, she was the one who was in charge of all the teams, in charge of making sure they ran smoothly, and in charge of ensuring that their school had the best sports teams available...and after tonight's victory, she had to say she was rather impressed with what they had going so far.
The cheerleaders could use a bit more work, and the team needed to widen the gap between points, having allowed the opposing team to score way too much this go around, but all in all it had been good. Now, here she was at the after-party. If there was one thing she had learned from her mother, it was that a person needed to present themselves when and where it was expected if they hoped to gain following, if they hoped to maintain good social standing...and let's face it. With all the girls that she had slaughtered in her quest to find the one who had taken everything from her, she was in need of some good social standing points.
So here she was, dressed in a black tank top, a pair of jeans and her auburn hair falling loosely around her shoulders. Of course, the boots that deemed her as Varsity Captain were laced up tightly around her ankles and she looked every bit as distant and withdrawn from the rest of the crowd as she had been since everything fell apart. No matter how much she tried, she just couldn't bring herself to make friends, she couldn't bring herself to do more than have sex, get what she needed, and move on. No emotions, no attachments, nothing.
A little sigh as she hit the button on her remote to trigger the alarm on her car, stuffing her keys into her pocket soon after. Deep, oceanic blue eyes scanned the crowd, easily picking apart the social groups with a mere glance, and noting that the football team was all too happy to go with the cliche "hook up with the cheerleader" type thing. Though, it didn't take long to see Cael and Aryanna, which really wasn't surprising....the two were a perfect fit in so many ways.
A few more football players, a few more idiot pot heads and then of course the "emo" kids. It would appear everyone was showing up for this, which meant her job was going to be that much harder if a fight broke out. However, to be honest, she could stand for a little fighting....even if she got her ass kicked...At least it would be something other than this emotional dead zone she had found herself in lately.
Drawing in a deep breath before pushing forward and into the crowd, hell bent on mingling if it killed her, perhaps getting a drink or two....or twelve and trying to have a good time.

Seated on a bench in the noisy, rowdy locker room, Elijah had just finished changing out of his sweat-soaked American football jersey and taken a shower, and was now dressed in a pair of jeans and his spare jersey, since it was the only shirt he had with him, his black jacket loosely bundled beside him. Although he was glad their team had won, the score had been a little too close for his liking.
An 8 point difference may not seem all that close, but when one of your teammates was Cael Seran, you'd really rather have a better gap of points as leverage. Makes ignoring the French prick that much easier. Picking his duffel bag with all his sweat and dirt covered American football equipment and pulling his black jacket on, he'd head out of the locker room, and make a quick stop at his apartment, tossing his laundry into the washer, changing into a white long sleeved dress shirt and his black jacket on top, before heading off to the party.
Pulling up in his 1994 Toyota Supra, he'd lock his car and enter into the fray of the party, greeted by cheers and hoots from people he didn't even know, even some pats on his back from his own teammates. A cheerful grin on his face, Eli didn't think he deserved the praise, sure he had scored a few times, but really, the entire team deserved the credit, they had worked together and pulled it off, though the defensive seemed more frightened than anything else.
Must be because of their great lord and tyrant, Cael Seran, the (self-proclaimed) Defensive Captain. King of all Pricks indeed. Finally wading his way through the giant mass of people, he'd end up nearby a girl that looked like she had been kicked to the ground... or knocked over, whichever one it was.
"Hey... I'd think you'd have a better view of the party venue standing up."
If she looked up, she'd see a hand held out to her, Eli crouched down nearby her. It was up to her if she took his hand or not, if she didn't, it wasn't that big of a deal to him.

Post by Azura on Sept 24, 2012 21:07:40 GMT -6
The last thing she wanted was to be here at this party. In fact, she would have been content to have just gone back home after the game, stripped herself out of this darn cheerleading outfit and gone to bed after putting on something a little less....revealing. But, she had to be here...for a couple of reasons really. One, she was part of the cheerleading squad, and if she planned on continuing to fit in, she had to do what she was told for now...and there had been no mistaking the threatening tone in Aryanna's voice when she demanded that all the girls be here tonight.
Secondly, she could sense that Legion was heading to the party, and though she was not usually one to stop him from doing what he pleased, there were just far too many people around for him to pull some stunt, like killing people. She knew he was smart, but more and more lately, Azura could not shake the feeling that perhaps he was a little more naive about the world than herself. In truth, she sort of saw his view of things and his way of handling things as similar to how Raven had been when he was younger....when his mind had been damaged.
But there was also a third reason that she was here tonight. She needed to apologize to a certain somebody for her behavior a few nights prior, and though she had tried to catch him before the game, and immediately afterwards, she had been unable to. So, in her mind, her best bet was here, at the party. Sure, she knew that the whole thing was likely to be very awkward, but despite her desire to run and hide from her own actions, she was willing to suck it up and admit she had been wrong...The thought of leaving things they way they had been that night very unsettling to her.
So, needless to say, here she was, worming her way through the increasingly dense crowd as she worked hard to keep her skirt tugged down to a decent enough length. An impossible task she knew, but one she attempted none the less. Already tonight she had shown off way more of her undergarments than she would have liked...way more. It had not helped either that she had fallen a time or two between routines, and she had managed to mess up every now and again...if only because she had been so distracted worrying about who was looking at her butt.
A little sigh given as she released her skirt with one hand, lifting it to try and tuck her hair back behind her ears as she weaved through another group of students. Though as she did this, a hand would be felt firmly planting itself on her backside and a rather indignant hoot would sound out behind her as a guy and his friends began laughing and he gripped the end of her skirt and threw it upward, exposing her butt to view for a few seconds before she squeaked, spun around and tucked her skirt back down with both hands...stumbling back away from the group as she blushed rather profusely and managing to trip over a rock and land hard in the dirt on her bottom.....The students around her laughing and pointing at her, a few making some rather rude comments.....
Great..what a perfect way to start out the evening huh?

"Hey... I'd think you'd have a better view of the party venue standing up."
"Yeah well not much luck if I keep getting pushed around."
Phew. A breath of exastrabation as Sapphira managed to exhale letting the whisp of breath catch beneath her hair knocking it up and veiling her sight momentarily as she took the offered hand in return.
"Thanks, I-"
She stopped pressing her other free hand through her locks positioning the strand behind an ear and looking the guy once over quick to keep her eyes locked on his. He was cute, certainly the type she went after with the stone-chizeled jaw going on and the bright eyes. Though that was neither here nor there.
"Sapphira, appreciate the hand up. My sister's a bit of a bitch."
She'd purse her lips with an idle irritation losing interest as to why she was here. Its entire purpose based around the fact that her faux sister forcing her. If Raphael was at this school she didn't think he'd bother showing up to these types of things but maybe... just maybe.

Guy would manage to make himself sparring in this little party event. He wasn't much the type to find himself surrounded by random strangers or even friends for that account, by all means he was the masochistic loner living by his own means. So much so that even after the game while all the other players changed into their spare uniforms to gather recognition Guy took to his normal attire. An amethyst button up, black slacks, and a leather trenchcoat, to top it all off that fedora. Why was he going? He bet it rude to completely avoid his teammates, just there to drop by and congratulate folks.
Stridding up through the brush he'd managed to walk their of his own accord short of cash but even still a walk was better than using public transit. Sighing he'd break through the brush coming along the outter edge of the party bumping into a stranger and a familiar face.
"Hey Eli, good job today, couldn't have done it without you."
His gaze shifting over to Sapphira briefly offering up a cordial smile and his hand upwards to shake perhaps. "I'm Guy, nice to meet you." Friendly enough even though he supposed he wouldn't stick around for very long at all.
"Alright, I won't interrupt or anything just going to get around and be out, have a good night."
A tip of his hat before ducking out and delving deeper into the party. His feet growing heavier with each step like the air around seemed to bear its own weight.

It had been the first game for the school, and the first chance for her to be in front of everyone doing the whole cheerleading thing. Her parents had come, of course, and they had been quick to find her immediately following the game in order to congratulate her on not falling down and busting her ass, something that Emma was rather proud of herself. Yet the minute that she had asked them if she could go to the party that Aryanna was throwing afterwards, her heart had sank...watching their faces fall as brows knitted in disapprovement.
She should have known that they would say no, and she should have been expecting it, but when the moment had come, she had been taken back for a second. However, as soon as her Mom signed the word No. to her, she had found her backbone and was quick to come back at them with a rather convincing argument concerning her need to make friends, and her need to get out and be a normal kid.
Though, they had not looked convinced, at least not until one of the other girls on the team..Beth..had come running up, looping her arm about Emma's and introducing herself to her parents. "Oh I will make sure to take real good care of her Mr. and Mrs. Anderson." The words barely being caught by Emma as she stood to the side of the other girl, but she would catch enough to turn on her parents with bright, hopeful eyes and nod, hugging her new friend's arm close and using her free hand to half way promise that she would be on her best behavior and be home by curfew.
Reluctantly they had agreed, and with a quick kiss to both of their cheeks, she had rushed off after Beth, climbing in her car and finding herself rather giddy with excitement as they took off toward the designated party area. When they arrived, Emma quickly scrambled out of the car and around to where Beth now stood, looping her arm with the other girl's and following along as she made her way toward the party.
It was great. The first party Emilia had been too in months, and as she looked around at the surroundings, she was more than certain that she was going to have a good time. Feeling her arm tugged on, she turned back around toward Beth, watching her hands as she signed out her question. Do you want to grab a drink? The blonde being one of the few people in the school that could actually speak to her in ASL.
Nodding, she would smile brightly and release Beth's arm, hurrying along behind her toward the area where the drinks were being served, and waiting her turn to get a cup so that she could have some beer. Her parents would kill her if they knew she was going to drink, but so long as she didn't get totally wasted, she should be fine. Besides, this was a party and she was going to have fun, even if it killed her.

"Well that kind of sucks, but I'll make sure no one else pushes you around from now on."
Helping the girl up after she let out a breath of exasperation that blew her hair up and covered her face momentarily before taking his offered hand, he'd hold onto her hand until she had managed to get her balance back and was flat on her feet, before letting go of her hand.
A bit of a blank look appearing on Eli's face hearing her stop in mid-sentence as he noticed her giving his a quick once over, her eyes locked with his, he'd look back into her eyes and nod slightly at her.
"Elijah, no problem. Your sister sounds like a lovely, sweet-tempered girl."
Seeing Sapphira purse her lips in idle irritation, before he could continue their lovely conversation, he would hear rustling issuing from behind him, and turning his head slightly to look behind him, he'd see the Captain of the team himself emerge from the bushes, looking sharp as always.
"Hey Guy, thanks, you did a excellent job yourself too, I couldn't have done without you either."
Giving Guy a friendly clap on the shoulder, Eli would let the introductions between Guy and Sapphira be exchanged, before turning back to Guy a little surprised.
"You sure? Well, if that's what you want, see you around then Guy."
Bowing his head slightly back at Guy's hat tipping, he'd watch the Captain head off, before turning back to Sapphira.
"You want to explore the venue or something? I could use something to eat though..."

Located in the deep shadows of the forested woods surrounding the party venue, were giant trunks of trees, their branches stretching upwards into the sky... except for one in particular. Blending in well with the various rows of trees, a large, hulking figure stood very still, trying not to draw attention over in this direction. Dressed in his usual black hoodie and pants, his hood up, Raven's face was hidden from view, as from afar, he watched over Azura.
At first, he had told himself he would not interfere with the after party Azura was attending, no matter what happened. But the moment he saw Azura end up on her butt and the people around, particularly the jocks, laugh at her, he felt rage well up from within him, and unable to contain his anger, would let out a guttural roar, low enough that the music playing drowned his roar out, but loud enough that those that were laughing heard it... and heard it they did.
"D-did you guys hear that!? What the hell was that!?"
"M-maybe it was a mu-mu-mountain lion? Let's get out of here!"
One of the jocks stuttered out, as the group decided to haul their asses out of here and save their own skins, not wanting to find out, leaving Azura behind. However, as freaked out as the group was at the roar, Azura on the other hand, would probably recognize the roar as sounding familiar... VERY familiar to her.

"Appreciated but I can handle that snobby little brat, and anyone else for that matter."
A silent hmph not necessarily directed at him really moreso still casting a daring glance at the distance to where her 'sister' had hightailed it out of there. For good reason to if Evelynn had decided to stick around she'd end up with a bloody lip and some twigs shoved down her throat... and .. and...
Snapping out of the little tizzy she'd built herself up in the girl would shake her head and set hues on straight. The boy, Elijah and a new comer each taking their separate paths, she hadn't even really managed to introduce herself but she liked the get up he was in reminded her of one of those super heros she had a childhood crush on. Anyways, Elijah would bring up moving to a different venue and that stunned face and dizzied hues scuttered around in her boggled mind curiously.
Why was she here afterall? To meet new people? To party? Hopefully find Raphael. Biting her lip Sapphira would run an idle hand through her hair and puff upright.
"Sure, where to?"
Didn't really matter so long as she could pig out on something.

There was the earnest means to resist saying 'I know' to her statement. A Lord truly never got over the massive amounts of accretidation thrown his way particularily when said Lord was a spoiled brat that got all that he desired. Aryanna had simply been a one time play thing, breaking her will, taking her virginity, those were all just little games to play with. To be honest he conveluting to his presence irritated him slightly, he liked it when she was a bitch all the time.
"One must always be at thier best I suppose."
His hands would ring around her hips as he took up a position behind her managing to still compose a grip on what she had in her grasp. "Though I don't suppose you catch my drift." A little mocking chuckle in his throat entirely adament about pissing her off. That's right, he wanted her mad, it was just another game.
His hands siezing upwards from her hips taking her stuff and moving past her without a wave, goodbye, or anything really would take the boxes to their destination and set them aside pronounced to simply ignore her.
