UNTIMESKIP
Drenched in a layer of sweat, blood and Gods know what else, Kazumi felt the inner demon purr...or perhaps it was herself. At this point, to be honest, it was hard to tell. The anger and the rage she had felt still there, boiling beneath the surface, but somehow or another the part of her that was capable of more than just that had managed to claw its way to the surface. Deep, oceanic blue eyes were evidence enough of that as her head lolled to the side, gaze settling upon Heather who had already passed out, not even bothering to clean herself from the complete and utter mess that she had been left in.
Had she the energy, she would have chuckled at the sight, half tempted to push the girl out of the bed and be rid of her all together. Not that she hadn't served a very useful purpose, but when it came right down to it, Kaz wasn't one to really share any bed, for any length of time with another female once the act was said and done.
However, she did not. Partially due to her own exhaustion, and partly because of the familiar, rather comfortable weight that was settled atop her right this moment. Oh she knew that she shouldn't enjoy it, should even perhaps haul off and deck him to get him off of her...but for the life of her, she could not help but savor the way his body seemed to settle atop of her own perfectly, the weight soothing, comforting almost. Enough so that the edges of her lips dared to curl into a little smile before quickly being wiped away before Cael could catch a glimpse of this.
Still, despite her awareness of her smile, she did fail to catch herself as her hand idly lifted, trembling fingers and all, and began to delicately trace along his arm from his shoulder to his elbow and back up again. Just enjoying the way that his flesh felt beneath her touch. Oh, she knew he was not one for affection, and she knew even more than that, that she would never be the girl that would land a guy like him...despite the fact that she had cared for him since they were young. Despite the fact that she still cared for him even when everyone else seemed to think him nothing more than an arrogant prick.
But as said a million times before, she would not become her Mother. She would not forever waste her heart on a Seran boy that did not want her, that would never want her. But then...if that was the case, why did she suddenly lift her head and ever so slightly brush her nose against the side of his neck. "If the bite is too bad, you can always bite me and heal yourself." Of course referring to the bite she had inflicted upon his shoulder, knowing she had not exactly been gentle in doing so and merely trying to offer him some help if he wanted it. Not trying to force it on him, but noticing that the wound still bled and wanting to make sure she didn't hit a major artery or anything on accident.
However, no sooner did she say it, then she would catch what she was doing and drop her head back to the bed beneath her. Not bothering to apologize, and even turning her head enough so that her locks fell to conceal her face from view, hiding the light blush which darkened her olive complected cheeks.
