When she gave him that pouty face Legion couldn't help but grin. He liked it, being perfectly honest, nor did he really care that she thought he was making fun of her. Though half of it was, half was serious, at least in the real question. Sure, Legion liked Nyx, was devilishly attracted to her, that didn't mean he was going to be nice and affectionate. Maybe affectionate in his own, dark and twisted way, but it wasn't his place to shower her with love and roses. If anything one could argue that that was Patrick's job, at least for Kazumi. While there were underlying concerns about Patrick, he was the human, not Legion.
As she rolled onto her back and away from him slightly Legion would simply put his hands behind his head, looking skyward. She was his, and yes she may be moving to get away from him, but he'd be damned if he was going to beg. No, when he was ready she'd come to him. He'd stalk, take teasing, but begging was beneath him. Besides, while he enjoyed the body contact, cuddling? Just, meh. Wasn't something that he'd go out of his way for, least not now. If she wanted it she'd come to him.
Though as she spoke he'd listen carefully, because after all he had wanted to know the answer to how it worked between her and Kaz. How they arranged Nyx's adventure times. As she explained it, it sounded so easy. Legion doubted it was as easy as it sounded. Because it was the idea of two people owning one car. No matter how well they knew each other there was bound to be a time where they both wanted to use it. So he'd pose his question, thinking about an answer himself, "I doubt it's as easy, what do ye both want to be out?"
A long pause as he waited for her answer, not really sure he had many more for her. Unsure of what that meant for him, but he knew that Patrick was chomping at the bit at this point. Figured that Nyx had some solid advice. Perhaps if he gave up "control" or however the hell it worked, then he'd get it back without a fight at some point. Or something, probably something that him and Patrick would have to work out at some point...

Nyx wasn't one for the whole cuddling thing. Sure, she enjoyed physical contact, but she didn't crave it. Unlike Kazumi, she didn't need the affection to know that she was wanted, or cared for. She had a much more realistic view of the world and in her mind, she just wasn't the type to receive affection. Which was just fine with her. So, when he didn't come after her, she honestly was not surprised. If anything, she would have been shocked if he did.
Instead, she felt more at ease with him rolling onto his back and staring up at the sky. It just fit better, and allowed her to feel comfortable with the relationship the two seemed to have going. It gave the entire thing a sort of feel, that fit what she was comfortable with. Most men wanted affection, wanted some sort of sign that she "cared" for them. Things that Nyx was incapable of really giving, because she didn't feel what normal people did. So yes, Legion's detachment was just perfect for her. It allowed her to be the same.
However, he would speak once more and she would shrug softly. For a minute she had to think about it. There were not a lot of moments where they both wanted control, seeing as how they had pretty much worked this out and had it down to a science. But, she knew that every now and then, they did have their moments. "We share." A slight shrug as she gave a rather basic, simple answer. Though, after a few seconds more, she would attempt to better explain it.
"We are not incapable of blending together when we want to. It is just harder than it is to switch back and forth. But when the situation warrants it, we can mesh together well enough to function as one. That is why my eyes sometimes turn an amethyst and black color." It was the truth, something that had taken a lot of practice and patience...Something that still took a great deal of concentration and mental prowess. Not impossible, just exhausting and not the ideal choice for either herself or Kazumi.
But, that was the best she could think to explain it and with a little, firm nod, she would fall silent and turn her head just enough to look at him. No real move made to move toward him, not seeing a reason to. Sure, if he told her to, she would..because the submissive side of her wanted to obey...but the stubborn side of her didn't want to beg. A complicated mixture of emotions and thoughts...but then Nyx was not used to having somebody be dominant over her like this. She loved it...just was not used to it....yet.

Legion's brows would raise at the mention of the word share. That seemed, odd. Well at the very least it seemed like Nyx wouldn't want to share and would want to take control whenever she wanted it, without much of a question of what Kazumi wanted. For whatever reason it just seemed uncharacteristic, though he had to think, was it really that different then what he was considering doing with Patrick? That answer, probably not. So perhaps he shouldn't be so quick to judge, or at least come to a decision n how confusing it was. Especially considering he didn't quite understand.
As she explained that she was able to blend Legion would give a slight nod. It seemed to make quite a bit of sense. Why? because it felt like he had something similar with Patrick, or was at least capable of it. At least he could tell that Patrick knew what was going on, that he was simply sitting in the passenger's seat at the moment. It wasn't difficult to imagine himself, Legion, doing the same thing. Though the extent that they would be able to achieve that meshing? It remained to be seen.
"What situation warrants it?" Legion would ask, his last true question really, doubting that there would be another that he needed to know the answer to. Anything else, well he could wait, probably, or at least prod Patrick to ask.
After a few silent moments he'd turn his head towards hers, looking her in the eyes. Blank look on his face, daydreaming slightly, looking towards the future. Seeing nothing but red and good times. The thought making him grin at her, quite mischievously. Hand reaching out to cup her cheek, stroking her hair back behind her ears, "Nyx, my little demon, I see only good times ahead for us."
Grin curling even more as he gripped her cheek tightly, "Until next time."
Grip loosening as he spoke those words, each word with a little less of the demon inside of them. More, emotion appearing on his face, at least more emotion reminiscent of humanity appearing after a moment or two. Quite clear who was taking back control. Although Patrick didn't move to remove his hand from Nyx's face. Rather he kept that mischievous grin as he'd almost taunt, "Hello Nyx."
Did he hate Nyx? No, he could remember hating her so what should he now? He didnt remember doing that to her, whatever it was that he really did, nor could he really feel guilt about it anyway. If anything there was a respect for Nyx, an attraction even, but he wasn't sure if that came from her being a part of his wife or being the desire of Legion's affections, even if he wouldn't admit it. Quite curious to how this whole thing would play out, but glad, more then anything that he was back, especially with his wife...

She didn't like having to share, but at the same time, she knew that if she fought against it, then there was a more likely chance that she would be denied her freedom later on. It was not a matter of her doing what she wanted so much as it was a matter of picking and choosing her battles wisely. She didn't need him to understand, seeing that confusion and doubt in his eyes, she knew the truth, knew how it worked and that was all that mattered.
"Well, for example, the past times when Kazumi has interacted with him, or you, and has gotten upset. Typically, that is both of us, because she is so angry with him and wants to tell him what she thinks, but she is also in so much pain...So, I come out, to take away the pain, to shelter her from it as best I can and to lend her some of my anger to replace it and give her the strength she needs to tell his...your...ass off." She shrugged, looking up to the sky for a moment more before shifting those black eyes back to his own once more.
As his hand came forth, brushing her hair back behind her ear, she would purr softly and tilt her head to nuzzle into his touch, pausing only when she felt his fingers grasp her cheek. Dark eyes fluttering open, having closed for a moment to savor his touch, she would look at him curiously. She could feel the change as well as hear itin his tone..brow furrowing slightly. "I am certain of it." Speaking up softly moments before he would disappear, leaving her face to face with his other half, who, surprisingly, didn't pull his hand away from her, but instead grinned at her in that same fashion as Legion had.
A little confused, she would tense up when he spoke to her. She still wasn't sure what to make of Patrick and a part of her was still uncertain how to behave around him. After all, any time she had been out and about around him, he had been cruel and mean to her. Tortured her. Been cold toward her. So yes, her thoughts of him were not all that good. "Hello..." Hesitation showing in her voice, as it did in the way she twisted her hair about more feverishly.

Legion nodded at her answer, quite nonplussed as she did. Though he felt Patrick stirring uncomfortably beneath the surface. While it was true he didn't give much of a shit about Nyx, he hated the fact that he had hurt Kazumi. Though they both were able to see the benefits of melding, at least her her case. She could keep the anger to do what she had to, while losing the crippling pain. Keeping herself but able to do what she had to. Legion was not really sure how it could benefit their situation, seeing as how Patrick didn't have much of a conscience when he chose to but perhaps there was an application somewhere.
His grin would only widen at her purr, loving that it was done for him, loving those words. He was quite certain of his words as well. From what he knew about Nyx, they could have worlds of fun together. But alas, his time here was done, because Patrick wanted to play.
When Patrick appeared he noted how Nyx tensed up in front of him. Now that was certainly interesting. While Patrick didn't remember doing anything that he supposedly did, it must have been quite horrible to get her, in front of him to tense up. He gave a slight chuckle at her hello, hearing her hesitance, seeing it in her actions. Softly stroking her cheek Patrick would ask, "The last time we met, it was Feht, wasn't it?"
He would stroke her cheek softly, a bit of affection in his touch, unable to shake this attraction towards her, and her darkness. Though he would move forward asking, tauntingly, "How did that go again? My memory's a little hazy."
A dark grin plastered across his face, waiting a moment before saying, "No, I have no intention to hurt ye, I just want to talk to Kazumi, besides, it appears ye and Legion already had yer fun. And might I say, ye were absolutely delectable...."

Nyx felt herself growing a bit antsy, laying there, with that hand upon her cheek, with that grin upon his face...she felt very out of place. It wasn't often that she felt this way, but given the circumstances of pretty much every single one of their meetings, she couldn't help but be a bit cautious around him. Afraid being a term she was not quite ready to embrace.
As his fingers began to softly caress her cheek, she couldn't help but feel a little strange. She was not used to affection of any form, let alone from him and to be quite honest, she wasn't entirely sure if she liked such a thing or not. Sure, it felt nice, but for her, and based on her experiences in the world, things were different. She was accustomed to different things and knew of life in a different way than her other half.So no, she wasn't sure if she could or should enjoy the affection he currently garnished on her.
But then he spoke, and though she would keep her eyes on his own, she would visibly tense up once more...the tips of her little, pearly white upper fangs visible as she softly began to chew upon her lower lip. Again, that odd mixture of darkness and innocence would come to light, those black eyes so big and hypnotic, so innocent and yet so dark and twisted. A strange combination, but one that was, in essence who Kazumi and Nyx really were. "Yes..that was my name at the time."
She spoke up with that same hesitation, though at the same time, would ever so slightly tilt her head into his touch. It did feel good, and despite her uncertainty, the more primal, animal like side of her enjoyed it and instinct drove her to seek out a bit more. Though his next question would cause her to fall motionless as she looked back up into his own eyes with a slight knot forming in her throat. "The last I remember...you had me strapped to a table and were injecting me with a toxin that set my inside on fire, over and over again until I screamed and tried to hide away from you." Her lips pursing just slightly as she nodded
A bit of silence falling into the air, allowing for him to respond before she would hear him once again speaking up toward her. His words drawing a little growl from her, though if it was not really done out of displeasure or anything. No, it was just how Nyx was able to show pleasure, and something that both he and Legion would have to get used to if they planned on keeping Nyx around for any period of time. She wasn't a typical girl and therefore could not be treated/handled as such. Just the way things worked when it came to the little demoness that he currently had laid before him.
"Very well..." Knowing that her time here was up, feeling Kazumi tugging at the back of her mind. She had been fairly silent through all of this, more inclined to just stay silently at the back of the mind than be all up in Nyx's doings....Though with Patrick out and about, of course Kazumi wanted her freedom...something Nyx was all too happy to give, especially since she didn't know what to make of him or how to behave around him just yet.
Dark eyes slowly starting to fade to blue before closing as she would draw in a few, soft, steady breaths and allow the physical sensations of pain and pleasure to wash over her mind, to get herself used to what her body had already been feeling....Then, eventually, she would open them once more to look at him, a little soft smile curling upon her features. "Hey..." A clear difference in her tone, all the darkness gone from it and instead that soft, light Italian accent taking its place.

Patrick couldn't help but chuckle a little at her unease. Not really feeling guilty for it because he didn't remember what he had done. Not in the least. Though there was this sense of enjoyment that he got from this. From her unease, and he wasn't quite sure why, other then the fact that he had been a bad guy before. Wasn't that supposed to have been put behind him? So shouldn't all that stuff be from Legion? Was that as well as this attraction for her, some sort of bleeding effect? Patrick was completely unsure, and perhaps a little confused, though he didn't show it in the least.
Watching her tense up as he spoke Patrick couldn't help but find himself lost in those black hypnotic eyes. That innocence that he remembered Kazumi holding in her eyes, as well as that darkness. Though now it was the darkness that was the primary thing in her eyes, at least when compared to Kazumi. Though those eyes, as Patrick stared at them, not changing facial expression, Legion would chuckle, nodding somewhere in the recesses of his mind.
When she would speak Patrick noted that hesitation, quite amused, that this was what he had done to Nyx, almost a shame he couldn't remember it, really. Though those toxins sounded like an interesting touch. But what he still didn't understand was why he did it? To keep Kazumi? What did that even mean? He was still unsure. So asking one last question, really repeating what Legion said, but maybe he'd get a different answer, "And why would I do that again? Legion seems to be quite taken in with you."
A grin at those last words. It was the truth really, and so far Legion had gone away when Patrick had asked him to so he figured he'd throw a dog a bone. Besides if he could keep Nyx happy, it would mean getting Kazumi back would be that much easier, right? So it was a win win.
Grinning as she growled, knowing that that wasn't necessarily a bad thing. Glad when she agreed to let Kazumi out, watching those eyes fade from a black to that blue color that he found so beautiful. Sure, he didn't remember everything about their relationship, but he remembered loving her, more then anything. Enough so to apparently give up his past life, which had been a big deal for him. Grin fading to a soft and loving smile as he watched her take those deep breaths. Smile only widening as she turned to him with a smile far more beautiful then he remembered, ha, but seriously. That darkness gone from her voice Patrick couldn't be happier then this moment. The lightness of this mood, putting him at ease really. Hand still cupping her warm soft cheek he reply softly, "Hey Kazumi."
Not much, but at the moment it was at a loss for words. He didn't know what to say really. Just so glad that it was her that he was next to, because while there was an attraction to Nyx, something he didn't think was a problem, it was Kazumi he loved. She was the true center of his affections. His true desire. He was just lost in the beauty of this moment, and quite unsure what to say really. Not really sure what was appropriate with everything that was going on at the moment. But after a moment of blissful silence he'd say the only thing that he could think of, "I love ye."

"I am sure you could find a reason." Not the least bit amused by the way that he was acting, nor by the questions he continued to pose, Nyx would answer in a rather hesitant, uncertain tone. Despite the overpowering innocence that she held, she was not completely naive, and knew well that all it would take was one slip up for this one to decide she needed to disappear...again. She didn't trust him, but then, Nyx did not trust many people it would seem.
Either way, she was all too happy to give over her control to Kazumi, wanting nothing more than to be out of his sight and out from under his touch. Those black eyes casting him one last look before fading to that bright blue shade that belonged to her other half.
Now, laying there and slowly getting used to the sensations that flooded her body upon awakening, Kaz would look to Patrick with that little smile curled upon her lips, her hand reaching up to tuck a bit of her hair back behind her ear, she could not deny that the touch of his hand felt amazing. She had missed it so much. Had missed feeling his touch and knowing that he wanted to be with her, knowing that it was her that he loved.
As he continued to caress her cheek, her eyes would close for a moment, a soft sigh passing her lips as she allowed the silence to drag out between them. It was not uncomfortable, if anything it was peaceful. So much of the past few months had been filled with pain and crying and heartbreak that this was a welcome change. However, it could not last forever, and eventually he would speak up, causing her eyes to again flutter open and look toward him.
His words catching her off guard, making her brow raise slightly as she nervously nibbled upon her lower lip, uncertain if she should say what she though ot say what she wanted. "I ...I love you too." She did, so very much, but at the same time she was worried about allowing herself to owe up to that fact. She was worried that he would not mean it when all was said and done and he was back in the arms of that other girl that he was supposedly bonded to. The pain of even thinking that clear in her eyes as she sighed and lowered her gaze from his own, turning onto her side, facing him, and closing her eyes as she tried not to think about that. Tried to just think about the here and now....nothing else.

Patrick heard the hesitance and uncertainty in her tone. That combined with her words all but hit him in the face with her distrust for him. Not that that was something that particularly bothered Patrick, because after all, he'd be the fool the think that she'd trust him. Ir she'd be a fool to trust him, so easily at least. Because who in their right mind would trust someone who had literally tried to make them disappear? But it wasn't her trust that Patrick was looking for, he could really care less about that. He really had only wanted to taunt her abit before Kazumi came out.
And when she did, it was amazing, the mood lightening instantly as the darkness faded. Those deep ocean blue eyes replacing the black ones, almost hinting at the change in her personality from someone more dark to someone more light. Someone more pure, in innocence, or at least some one who tried. Because they both knew, neither of their hands were clean, without blood, Patrick's especially and he knew that he didn't know the half of it. But for some reason Kazumi seemed to give the air that she had her demon together and Patrick loved that, as opposed to him who didn't know if he ever had his demon, or demons together.
While she bathed in that silence, glorious to her, and it was for Patrick for a few brief moments as well. At least until he got the urge that he needed to say something. The guilt for leaving her welling up inside of him. Not the fact that he had gone with Azura when he had been taken but because he left Kazumi there crying when he chased after azura. Not sure why he was feeling guilt about this, perhaps from the lack of darkness as this point, but regardless he was somewhat grateful for the guilt, odd to say. Because it felt better then feeling nothing for hurting the woman he loved, hurting his wife.
The urge to say something, anything welling up inside of him until he said the first thing that came to mind, how he felt about her. Not sure if that was okay but doing it all the same. Because yes, he hurt her, but God, he loved her. And that pull towards Azura only made him feel guilty and left him wondering if it would be the same the other way around. If the circumstances had been reversed. But that wasn't worth thinking about he figured.
Catching her uncertainty he'd smile weakly, noting the nervousness in her voice. Only able to imagine at what she was feeling. Feeling guilty at what his mind was telling him. That it was his fault for making her this scared to say those words. And that hurt, knowing that cut him deep somewhere on the inside, not sure if he could really call that his heart or his soul. But he was remorseful of causing her pain. After a pause, apologetic look in his eyes he'd say quietly, "I'm sorry Kazumi, for everything."

She wasn't entirely sure what she was supposed to say. She knew that he was sorry, but that selfish part of her, the part that had been alone for all these months, didn't want to hear any of it. What right did he have to be sorry? Sorry was just a word and words meant nothing, at least to her. Though she did try her best to force a smile, shaking her head slightly as she ran her tongue along her lower lip and shifted to curl onto her side.
A small chill running down her spine from the cool night air as it ran over her body, the blood and sweat starting to dry upon her flesh. "I know you are." Of course she wasn't going to tell him that it was okay, because there was nothing in this world that made it okay. Nothing that erased the fact that she was suffering more and more each time she had to go home to an empty bed and a vacant house. Each time she had to look at their daughter and see that emptiness that she knew he had put within her eyes. She wanted to forgive him, but that didn't mean that she could just yet...she just wasn't that forgiving. Not anymore.
"But like I said before. Saying it is one thing. Proving it is another." She would nod finally before pressing her hands into the surface of the dock and moving to sit up, her small hands grasping the clothing she had been wearing...well her jeans at least, and sliding them on before looking around and snatching up his shirt to replace her own that he had torn to shreds. The thought of it making her grin as she pulled his onto her torso before adjusting her hair and chuckling just slightly. "Good thing I got this...all your clothes at home were starting to not smell like you anymore."
A soft sigh given before drawing her knees up to her chest, resting her chin atop them and turning her eyes back toward him, not sure what else to say, but not ready to leave just yet....still very intent on having him stay with her...not wanting to go back to the loneliness of her life right now...not in the slightest.

As she shook her head Patrick couldn't help but give a weak chuckle, sitting up, propping his legs up, arms wrapped around his knees as he looked out to the ocean. He knew what was up. Sure, he didn't remember much, but the adage ran through his mind quite clearly. Talk was cheap. Anyone could do it, it was backing up those words that meant something. At least, that was how it use to be, for Patrick anyways. Legion and his memory were one, so he remembered that conversation with Azura. Patrick knew that the both of them had to be careful with their words. In fact, that was why he was able to break free. Because Legion had been losing it, mind going haywire without his darkness, all because Azura had broken a promise. By choice? No, but all the same it counted against her. So Patrick couldn't afford the luxury of talking cheaply.
All the same he'd nod at her words. Knowing what she really meant. An acknowledgement that wasn't outright condemning, but it wasn't condoning either. He had done wrong, and she wasn't ready to forgive him. Even if it wasn't the him that had done anything wrong. It was meaningless to argue though, besides, he felt so guilty for it anyway so, he couldn't even if he wanted to. Listening to her words, he'd just sit there in thought as she moved to get dressed. Staying there in his nakedness, making no moves to change that. Only thinking on her words and his response to them.
Listening to her rustle around, pulling a shirt on he knew to be his, especially as she said it was. A weak smile given as she mentioned the smell, head turning towards hers. Green eyes pausing on hers, as she curled up, looking at her softly. No words were spoken for quite awhile, only though his face was what he was feeling expressed. That look holding an apologetic stare, mixed with much remorse, guilt and sadness. At all of his actions. Feeling like there was a canyon between them that he couldn't communicate with words, only his looks.
For a long time he would remain silent, but eventually he'd speak up. And when he did there was something in the air. An unmistakable certainty. Even though his words were quiet, there was almost a binding feeling in his words. A clear feeling that the words that he was saying weren't ones that could be taken back. Ones that he had no choice but to follow through on, though this was no burden but a happy decision. Something he did quiet willfully.
"I am going to find a way home to ye Kazumi. For good. Till death do us part," Patrick said with a quiet certainty, a pause as his fingers grasped that collar, "I'm going to find away to free myself from all of this, to return home to ye and Ruth. I swear this on my sanity and life."
The last part holding a clear innuendo, a deeper meaning. Something that suggested that those words were more then just empty ones. Ones that could not just be said and thrown away. A clear weight behind them...
