As Patrick made his way to the training room, he examined the device that he was supposed to plant. Looking closely to see what it was and what it did, because there were certain devices that he wouldn't plant. It was just that simple. That and he was trying to figure out what he was doing, to try and get off the rails of the track that he was on as soon as he possibly could. Not wanting to aid Cael's plot, whatever it was any further then necessary. His primary goals of course being to make sure that Nyx/Kazumi made it out safely and that his daughter was safe. A secondary objective may have been to kill Cael, but that was only if his family was safe. Anything after that though, took a distant, distant third, hell his secondary objective was pretty distant at this point.
As that girl came up alongside him, voicing her concerns Patrick would reply gruffly, still moving towards the training room, eyes ahead not looking toward her, "That had crossed my mind."
His reply short and simple. Not quite a brush off response, but almost. Whether she decided that he was not thinking through is actions or whatever, that was up to her. Patrick would continue on for a bit before he did end up explaining, "Ye see that picture of the baby girl? That's my daughter. Ye see the woman hanging from the flagpole? My wife. I know very well that this is without a doubt a trap of some sort, maybe i get framed, but with their lives in the balance, and no way to get around recorded commands i don't have much of a choice except play this game until i figure a way out."
Getting to the training room Patrick would read the note, careful to see that the door was broken slightly off its hinges. Not sure what that meant, only that there was likely danger ahead. Walking into the room to see that paint pointing at the door that would open as he took a few steps towards it. Looking around for a camera Patrick would see none, though he'd take a one point weight and throw it at the lights, figuring he'd make it harder to see him. A small act of defiance before grabbing a heavy bag and laying it down so that whoever had been watching him wouldn't be able to close the door on him once he went into the room...

OOC: Don't expect long posts from Kaz, since she doesn't have much to do. haha
Eyes fluttering open again, this time she was far too aware of where she was, and as the blood all rushed to her head, and the sound of that dripping continued beneath her, she couldn't help but start to feel the drain of the blood loss sinking in. She wasn't made to handle a constant, steady loss like this, her Qi making it damn near impossible. But what made matters worse, was the fact that it was the persona of Nyx that woke up here, and though she could have been angry, she could have tapped into her less than kind nature....she didn't. No, she stayed as she was, and the result was a full blown panic attack within moments of waking up.
Little hands jerking at her restraints, trying to get free, she would find that she was unable to.Though that of course did not stop her, feeling the binds cutting into her wrists as she jerked about. She knew it wasn't the smartest thing to do, given her current situation, but the past had taught her that every time she was tied up, bad, bad things happened to her. Tears filling her eyes, they would fall as she began to feel her chest tightening.
Warm drops of blood on her wrists, she would barely manage another soft whimper before, the lack of air and the constant blood loss would once again cause her to pass out. Her small form falling lifeless once more.

Cael was positioned in her chair idly looking out the window with his feet kicked up over the edge. Little scuff marks made on the ground showing the kid had put up a little bit of a fight but clearly not enough to prevent his evident demise. As for Cael well the boy looked a little darker, it wasn't because of the overcast temperment or the fact that the lights in the room were off, instead it was simply his run-in with Kevala's creator so it seemed. That grim mask on his face followed a very stoic look out the window, eyes settling out on the horizen not shared with her own.
"Not quite what I would expect of someone pleading for their life but I suppose I shouldn't really be surprised when it comes to you."
If only the boy had taken lessons from Kevala maybe he'd have survived, but then again Cael didn't exactly swing that way. Was worth a try perhaps.
Cael's hands proceded to fold over one another, his chin burying into them as he slowly contemplated his decision. "In that case please if you would type your pass code into the section below." One hand tempering off to the side situating to the laptop positioned facing her direction before returning to place beneath his chin and settle him upright.
"I know you're likely to protest or question what is it in your best interests, but I can promise that if you dont the consequences will be... most severe."
For that matter his flawless facade cracked a small twinge. If she took a close look on the matter of what she'd type in the form page would look eerily familiar and quite honestly surprising considering the site had really nothing to do with the school but rather her own personal bearings.
The door itself would close behind Aryanna leaving the bodies unexposed. As for her electricity well... that was another thing entirely.
"Here k'mon lets go befo-" *BZZZTT*
Reaching out to grab the girl's hand the boy would drop. His body exposed and fried jsut as quickly as the boy doubled over and quickly began convulsing like the other girl though he wasn't going to die due to the position of which she touched. All the same the other boy jumped back pulling against the wall just enough to peel from his pocket a baton.
"What are you!? Are you with H-"
It didn't matter given a quick second the boy launched out with the baton trying to strike at Aryanna's skull. One wack to rule them all.
the device in which Patrick was holding was a simple box, atop of it a blinking red light and exposed panel much like a clock. By all accounts it would look very much like a bomb though no circutry was exposed to ellude to that as everything was hidden beneath the box covers. The texture of the box felt very light almost too light to be a bomb in fact the weight was something equal to a half empty box of cereal.
As for the pair well, the instant they walked into the room Patrick's suspicion would not be met, in fact the doors remained open. However there would be smething else to capture their attention. A dark room entirely the lights shut out and their vision probably even further hindered seeing as the only light was the original door open. At the center of the room a control panel and at the far side of the room a large screen flickering to life all of a sudden.
"So glad of you to comply, from what I've heard you're rather... difficult. Though we wont have the same problems my predecesors did will we?" A soft laughter at the back of Cael's throat letting off rather refined. "In fact I feel so kind as to give you exactly what you want... your freedom." For Patrick and Cael it'd be apparent exactly what he meant but for everyone else it was simply a pretext to the current situation they were in.
"But it comes at a price you see, and it is not very cheap. If you accept my proposition your first challenge will be the person facing opposite of you... contend with them and I will take that as an acceptance to my proposition. Have a good day."

Her office. She shouldn't have been surprised, and for that matter, she wasn't really. Tongue slowly dancing across her lips, she would slowly step within the room. Every movement she made was silent and elegant, a breath of air if anything. Kevala had always had a sensual, seductive manner to her every move, as if she quite literally breathed sexuality, but now, that ability given to her by that injection seemed to only amplify that trait. Her hips swaying slowly from side to side as she would saunter into the room, icy hues running over his figure as she noted the subtle differences in his physique, things that had definitely not been present the last time she saw him.
The darkness that seemed to settle in around his figure sending a chill down her spine, her lower lip captured softly between her pearly white teeth, nibbled upon in a mixture of appreciation for what she was seeing, as well as a manner of urging her mind into focus mode instead of getting lost on him and the aura that surrounded him. "Yes well, I am not one to plead for my life. So if that is what you wish to hear, you may as well get on with the torture part of this meeting so that I can get home in time for dinner." Her Southern accent rolling off her tongue as she approached the desk, his words and his demeanor not really causing her to hesitate, for even a second.
If anything, it simply intrigued her more that he would consider killing her. "I do admit, I am a little disappointed you would want me dead. I had thought we had quite the chemistry together." A slight roll of her shoulders before her hip would prop against the edge of the desk, eyes falling upon those scuff marks that were no doubt left by the boy who laid dead outside her window. Now that would get a slightly irritated growl from her, her arms folding over her chest. Though she did not bother to say anything, feeling that it would be quite pointless at this point.
When he spoke of her passcode, she would arch her brow slightly, turning her attention toward the screen and tilting her head slightly, eyes scanning over the information contained there, her hand idly waving him into silence, or at least attempting to as he continued to speak, her eyes focused upon the screen trying to gather what exactly he was asking of her. "Oh so quick to judge me, and assume that you know what I am about. Though, I would not doubt that to be some sort of rib to try and get me to do what you want."
She shrugged, her eyes turning back to him for a moment longer as her hand would reach froth and delicate, silken finger tips would brush back a bit of his hair from his brow. A touch one may have considered near affectionate had there not been that devilish little grin curled upon her lips the entire time. "Do not threaten me. I have been through far too much to worry about such things as death anymore." Hand falling away from his brow before she would reach down and tap out her code into the computer. She wasn't sure what it would mean for her, her daughter or anyone else involved, but she supposed that she had the option of doing it and taking the unknown risk, or not doing it and potentially killing her own child.
You know, that may be the outcome of this...
"Yes well, I am not exactly known for having the best of luck. So regardless it won't really surprise me."
Condescending comment incoming?
"Hmm, not sure. Typically what happens at this point, but we will see."
Her and her demon playing over every run in with a "bad guy" she had ever endured. Most of them working out about the same way, with the person in the chair, or whatever, trying to get under her skin through insults to her intelligence, or her lack of caring or whatever. Honestly, at this point, it was all a matter of what would be insulted about her...not if.
Finishing up the code, her hand would withdraw and move to fold across her chest along with the other while she herself would slink up onto the desk and lay down partially upon it. She still found this to be the most comfortable spot in her office, and a spot she found all too familiar. A sense of eerie de ja vu hitting her as an image flashed across her mind. It was her, much like she was now, in a position much like this...only the man in the chair was his Father. The thought getting a slight pause in her actions...but quickly enough shaken off with a light chuckle. Not about to let her mind wander there.
"Will there be anything else handsome, or am I free to go?" Purring the words toward him as she kept her calm and ran her eyes along his entire form. Not giving away the slight concern she had for her child.

The idiot reached out to grab her hand, and as a result he would get his little ass fried. Not that she much cared, especially since she didn't enjoy being touched without permission. Those oddly colored eyes would watch as he collapsed, glancing to the other as he began to freak out, only proving to irritate her that much more.
Really? Had they not heard about the stuff going on in this school? They were going to deem her the freak? Well, she was the one with the tattoo on the inside of her thigh, labeling her an experiment like those things that had attacked the school...but she wasn't about to share that bit of information.
However, her thoughts were cut short as a baton was hurled at her head. A little growl issued before she would quickly try to get her arm up to keep it from hitting her and knocking her out or something. That seemed to happen every damn time somebody attacked the school, and to be honest, she was getting a little tired of it. Those blue sparks flaring to life about her entire body now, creating a two foot diameter within which nobody wanted to be caught up. Especially right now with her being in a down right bad mood.

Whatever he was supposed to plant in that room looked very much like a bomb, but Patrick could tell that it wasn't by the weight. While he didn't remember why at this point it was hardly surprising. With the memories that he did know, Patrick knew he had been into some bad stuff, but he didn't remember too much of it. But that was another story entirely, what he had wasn't a bomb and he didn't know what it was.
But when they finally did enter the appointed room, Patrick honestly was a little surprised that the doors didn't close on him. Shrugging as he made his way into the room, not really bothered by the darkness, welcoming it in fact.
As that screen would flicker to life his eyes would immediately be drawn to listen to Cael, not really giving a damn about what he said, until he said freedom. That got him going. Not sure what he meant but immensely curious to find out the decision wasn't very hard. The price not high yet, so he was willing to pay. Not hesitating to drop a right uppercut in the girl beside him's gut. Looking to send her to her knees in one punch, hoping to catch her of guard for that first hit.
He didn't have anything against the girl, other then he had to go through her, so that being said he wasn't going to try to kill her. Just knock her out...

She tried catched her breath managing only to raise up her palms forcing her Qi to florition. A crackling and fizzing in the air became present and suddenly a wall of ice formed in between them from one side of the room to the other. It'd cause no harm to him unless he attempted diving between the barrier but it'd buy her some time to retaliate or escape. For now she just needed answers... and air. "Why are you doing this?"A demand ushered at both of them. [/ul]

As expected of Kevala, always the same sort regardless of how she tried to cover it up. While she may have enjoyed being unpredictable to others to the Seran bloodline however it seemed very transparent. Though Cael would neither bask in this victory nor would he make note of it, instead he begrudgingly turned about to assure that his plan was going along smoother than anticipated.
"Your life? Hmph, I do believe that is old news."
A taut grin as he pivoted away not giving her the opportunity to look on it but rather let the words sink in. Yes Cael was a fare share crueler than his father but it was something that was very much necessary for the circumstance. You see Patrick, Sapphira, Kazumi, and even Kevala weren't the only ones that needed to be free.
"You're free to go, of course you'll have to remove the restraints on the school, please feel free to let the students leave all the other pieces are set into action." Cael said once more idly looking at the laptop as he brought it into his lap typing away silently expecting more of her. It was just her curiosity he was betting on but then again Kevala did have a way of surprising him every once in awhile. "I do imagine you'll still be on campus regardless, if you could perhaps contact my father, tell him what you need to."
A silent nod as the typing stopped before resuming once again in its old consistent manner.
*Crack*
The carbon fiber baton would strike down on Aryanna with a clashing force, the brute effect of the strike of course would hit with the full impact against her forearm and likely to knock her aside or down. As for the assailant he was only shocked, not in the physical sense just frightened by the flare of power coming from her. The baton acted as a null presence between the blow and he'd caught onto as much but even still stepped back shuffling in reverse to make an attempt to escape himself. It wasn't worth it at this point he needed to clear this floor or he'd suffer the consequences but if it was at the cost of his life there was no win scenario here.
"Please, please leave me be, leave the school or...orr... we'll both suffer."
The plea very serious enough so to make snot start to dribble from this tough football player's nose. However the baton was still raised at an apex point ready to strike should she attempt paying him back.
Cael watched excited to see them turn against each other so quickly. All it took was that small bit of leaverage, and he knew both of their achilles heels. Through narrowed hues he'd perversely study the situation sure to pick out what needed to be done next.
"Don't forget Patty-kins, the device."
A silent clap of his hands exstatically to see his little... minions you could call them abide by his rules. However much they might protest. But that was the cost of his little prize. This was all just a game for the time being, once this was completed however it would take a whole different tone entirely.
Then suddenly the screen flickered and an apparent blockage to Cael's sight emerged. A large ice wall veiling the two apart. Patrick on the northern side of the room with the screen while Sapphira on the Southern side with the door. A few rapid clicks against the laptop and the door behind her would swiftly seal with a click.
"There is no escape... if you want what you're looking for I do expect you to fight."
A glower of sorts on his features folding his palms over quickly. A leer into the screen aptly enjoying this exchange.

She perhaps was not the best to use certain phrases on. She didn't really take it as a comment that was innocent and said in passing, but instead a direct shot to the fact she was older than him. Old...the word making her cringe on the inside, though she would just shake her head a bit and move to push herself into a seated position upon the edge of the desk, small fingers curling about the corner of such. "There is still quite a bit you do not know. Though, I suppose that it is of no use telling you that."
A little shrug before she would hop from the desk, tongue slowly tracing along her lower lip and her eyes settling upon the window as she turned around, looking out at her daughter which hung outside in that courtyard. "I would greatly appreciate it if you did not kill my daughter. Besides, she is the one that has always thought the world of you." Her nose wrinkling a bit before she would begin heading toward the door.
She would hear his comment about the school and nod a bit, though she said nothing. Simply pulling out her phone and sending a text to Carmine to tell him to undo the lockdown on the outer perimeter. She wasn't going to argue, and she wasn't going to engage herself like she normally would have in the past. It was just pointless at this stage in her life it would seem.
Nearing the door, she would pause only to hear his comment about his Father, her brow arching slightly as she gripped the door frame, thinking over exactly what would she tell Gabriel. Eventually, her nail softly tapping against the wooden frame, she would release a rather soft sigh and shrug, casting a glance back over her shoulder toward him. "Your Father does not need to know of what goes on in my school. He has made it quite clear he has a very busy life elsewhere. I am certain that if you have something which he needs to know, you can handle that....Or find yourself another messenger." A small nod before she would once again move to step out of the room, hand sliding down the length of the door frame before she would disappear around the corner, silently moving down the hallway and toward the stairs. Leaving Cael to play puppet master with those he had chosen for this particular little game.

Onto her butt she went with a little "oomph" sound escaping her, quickly followed up by a growl at the pain which went through her arm. But, at least she hadn't gotten knocked out this time. However when the boy would speak, he would be met with a very angry glare from Aryanna, who had been TRYING to leave this entire time, up until the moment that he threw that baton at her fucking head.
Eyes narrowing, she would growl lowly within her throat, the electricity about her no longer needing her to focus on it, as her anger was doing a good enough job on its own sparking it to life. Her tangled locks falling into her face, as she would slowly press her hands into the floor in order to get herself back into a standing position.
"I have been trying to leave you idiot!" Her fingers shoving into her hair as she pushed it back out of her face, narrowing her eyes upon him even more now as she began to make her way toward the stairwell. She wasn't going to touch him, if only because his panic made her want to get out of here, though she would stop just short of where he stood to lean in a bit toward him and speak slowly, beneath her breath...a little grin curling upon her lips.
"I would be worried about what is going to happen to me after all this nonsense is over if I was you. I despise being hit." Casting him a glance that said she was not even kidding before she would turn and move to head down the stairs, fingers on her hand which had been struck slowly writhing back and forth as the pain began to subside.

While Patrick had expected his uppercut to floor her, he didn't expect it to knock her across the room, which really put a damper in his, kick her in the head after she collapsed plan. Though he'd still have a shot for that and so he'd chase after her ragdoll looking to do just that, only stopping when a wall of ice appeared in front of him. As Patrick slid to a stop his eyes widened in surprise, knowing about qi, but at the same time not having expected this. Hand touching the wall to prove that it was indeed ice. Still looking at the wall as he answered her question quite casually, "It's the quickest way to saving my wife and child. Nothing personal."
Upon hearing his reminder about the device he'd ask somewhat offhandedly, not caring because the truth was, if it didn't effect him or his family, it wasn't his problem, "And what exactly does the device do?"
As he told them to fight again Patrick would look to the girl, no malice in his eyes because he had bigger things to worry about. Not really wanting to do this because it wasted time, but to get to his family, he had to. So he'd speak to the girl, almost apologetically saying, "Look, just let down the wall, I'll bash yer head on the wall once, knock ye out and it'll be over quick. No need to waste time or for ye to get anymore hurt then ye have to. I don't want to do this but I will if I have to. When ye have a child ye'll find that ye'd do anything to keep them safe. Just let me knock ye out real quick and we don't have to get hurt anymore then we have to."

Sapphira said nursing her wounds. That wall wouldn't last forever given the current temperature of the room and that casting it gave her a little bit of a problem, her nose now bleeding a small bit keeping it up. She sighed regardless slowly dragging herself to the door trying to edge a way through it but imagining it to be pretty hard to press through regardless she tried. Focusing most of her might she'd try freezing the door making it perhaps a bit more pliable when it thawed though that wall again wouldn't hold forever. "you're not the only one with something to fight for."Biting her lip as it trembled slowly expecting the end of these results perhaps leading to her long lost brother. [/ul]

Hmph, it really changed nothing of his plans, in fact that only gave him a much more sly means of going about what he had intended. That being said it wasn't often he was surprised by Kevala, this was one such instance. Letting his gaze drop to the screen to respond to the others he left Kevala to do as she might. It wasn't like she was going to get in the way at this point so it was otherwise pointless wasting man power on her.
The jock wavered hinting on her words and readied threat. He knew all too well that he fucked up right there but it wasn't like he culd take it back or plead particularily when the bigger threat still loomed. Quaking in his boots he'd collapse the moment that Aryanna had bolted out of sight and down the glight of stairs.
As for Aryanna the flight of stairs would be empty as were the levels beneath it. At each level she desended however there'd be the same contingency of frightened students bullying smaller ones down levels and out the floodgates. Would she be suspicious of this and continue on? If she however continued along her path she'd find a solitary march out the front gates leading just by Kevala's broken open training room strange sounds coming from withing like echoing of lost souls or some forgotten battle.
"Is that really of concern, I assure you it doesn't effect you."
Cael's lips turned upright waiting until the device was planted before moving onwards. If it was the next step would be completed, if it wasn't well.. that really did change nothing either. Regardless he got up from his seat and proceeded to the next objective at his own pace.
As for within the room lights would come on, not the kind you'd suspect this was a training facility afterall. Strobes flashing and multicolored spirals flashed here and there throwing off the walls making everything distorted. That much more of course intensified by the refractions of the ice before.
*CRACK!*
The walls would begin to shatter, chunks of the ice crushing onto the floor before. *BANG!*
In the place of the Ice wall would be a wall of another kind. Steal grates would sieze up in between each of the competitors, this was a game afterall. May the best man win.

Looking to the girl in front of him, no guilt in what he had done, but there was apology in his eyes. If only because he wasn't in the habit of burning bridges, if he could help it. That just didn't make good sense to him. Even if here it was a too late here he could try, though her comment had him asking her somewhat bluntly, "And is yer something currently bleeding out? Is yer something a little girl who's safety ye don't know?"
"Then I'm sure it's no concern of yers," Patrick shrugged, "I don't really care what it is, but I won't plant it until I know."
Waiting for Cael's answer, he'd place the device down on the counter by all the screens. He was telling the truth. If Cael told him what the device would do, he'd gladly plant it, so long it didn't effect Nyx or Ruth. Well, and himself, but that went without saying. So he'd wait for his response and act accordingly.
Regardless of action had been taken Patrick's eyes would squint as the lights would turn on, strobe lights in fact. Taking a moment to get use to the lights he'd notice that he was in a cage of sorts. Between him and the girl was one of the walls. Looking around it would appear that this was a maze of sorts. Cael apparently truly liked his games it would seem. Though it was likely that these maze was all he had planned so Patrick would precede with some degree of caution. On the look out for anything out of the ordinary, well, more out of the ordinary.
Making his way to the first intersection he would look around, trying to get a better grasp on his new environment...
