Just before passing out he'd smile to himself quietly, no devious intent, no sinister appeal just a wavering smile quick to disappear and part as heavy breaths ensued. His arms looping around her unconsciously and despite her distance closed the breach to pull her into his chest tucking her against him in his turbid sleep. Soft rises and falls of his chest as Cael faded away to neverland resting his eyes, his body, and most importantly his mind from the rest of reality. There was a long inevitable road ahead, things to be done and a plan to be finished.
He would enjoy this small kindness done onto him and repay her someday with one of his own but for now all time called for was sleep. This sleep would carry him through the next three days or so breaching in and out without much more than mumbles and eager mouth hungry for food and water but otherwise out of it.

Feeling his arm loop around her, she would tense but would not resist as he tugged her in and nestled her against his chest, her eyes closing as she would offer a soft little nuzzle into him before pressing herself against him and allowing the sounds of his breathing to ease her into a state of relaxation. A soft sigh passing her lips and her delicate fingers set to trace along the cuts which had been carved into his flesh. Though other than that, she did not move.
The one thing to remember about Kevala, is that she was a woman who held her word, when given in earnest, to the highest degree. So, when she said that she would be there, when he woke up, she had meant it. So, for the next three days, aside from the instances when she had no choice but to get up, be it for her own personal needs, or for his, she would stay right there beside him.
Of course, she didn't sleep, at least no more than a few quick cat naps here and there. Not about to allow herself to pass out just to wake him up with one of her horrid, terrified screams that so often filled her home in the middle of the night. But then, it was nothing she wasn't used to. She just went a little longer this time than she usually did, and hoped that she could make it long enough to allow him to get better before she finally succumbed to passing out as was usually the case.
No tv, or radio in her room, and no real desire to read, she mostly just laid there, pressed up against him when he desired it, and away, on her own little corner of the bed when he did not. Any other time, she knew she would have gotten bored and left and just snuck back every now and then, but for whatever reason, she just couldn't bring herself to do so now. Knowing full and well when he was up and about she would have to go out and find somebody to feed on, given she didn't usually go this long without some form of blood passing her lips, but that was yet another thing she just pushed aside in place of essentially taking care of him. If you could even call it that.

Awake. Wide awake, his eyes breaking open and senses in place. Everything felt stronger, his body rejuvenated, granted a twinge groggy, his muscles tense but sitting upright the boy would stretch making a large groan of exasperation. Cael remembered everything now, it coming back rather slow but hitting hard all the same, he'd showed weakness, concern, tenderness. These were not his attributes, they were marks of fear and humanity. A tender chill running up his spine as a hand blissfully caressed the back of his bicep feeling the chill dissipate slowly with the move. His eyes cautiously traversing the room and feeling himself stiff.
"Hmm.."
He remained rather silent letting himself blink a few times, rub his eyes and then push up out of the bed. The cloths he wore, same as days before sturdy and fine enough to wear again given they weren't mucky from outside but rather himself feeling that perspiration coat his exterior. A vague sigh moving his hands to his hips and departing with the shirt only to move to the center of the room and ask.
"Where's the shower?"
Cael felt like gunk but he supposed that wasn't all too bad given his staggering form only days before, one would think after three days bed-ridden he'd be worse off. No he was a new man, building his walls back up or rather creating new ones.

She had to admit, that after days of laying in that bed and hearing little to no noise from him, she was startled by the sudden alertness that he exhibited. However, the only real reaction he would get for that would be her sitting upright in the bed, and curling her knees up to her chest as icy hues followed his every move.
It didn't take her long to note that he was back to a more "Cael-like" state of mind, and though she was certain that things had changed, and would continue to do so, she was also sure that whatever had been causing that uncertainty before, was now gone. A sense of regret combined with a sense of relief washing through her. Regret because, despite her discomfort, it had been rather nice. Relief, because of the fact that she knew better than to let herself linger upon such moments of tenderness. They never ended well for her, and to be honest, she wasn't sure she could take another heartbreak like she had time and time again in the past.
As he spoke, she would reach up and run her fingers through her hair, letting a small yawn part her lips and then using that same hand to lower and rub gently against her eyes. She was tired, the darkened circles starting to show beneath her icy hues evidence enough of that, though she was certain it was nothing that makeup and a hot shower couldn't fix. "Its through there."
Her head motioning toward the door which led to the bathroom. "I have some extra clothes for you if you like. I sent Carmine for them the other day. Hope you don't mind, but I had to buy them, since nothing of yours would have fit you." That and she wasn't really all that anxious to go confronting his Father any time soon. That would end with being made to feel like shit, or being hit...or, knowing Gabriel...both. And Heaven forbid if Alexis was there too. No, it was well worth it to buy clothes than deal with that headache.
"I am going to go take a shower too, then make something to eat. Do you want anything?" Her tone still soft, though it was slowly starting to gain that slight edge to it that it so often held, her guard wanting so badly to go back up, fear of the consequences of having opened herself up weighing heavy on her mind. Her feet planting upon the ground as she would push herself out of bed and stretch a bit, rising up to her tip toes and stretching her arms out over her head, another small yawn given as she did so.

"That's fine, thank you."
A silent nod and appreciative glance however at this point it'd already be veiled behind yet another wall, his body entering the fray of the shower room taking off his sweats and starting up the shower before stepping inside. Her latter question making him pause for a moment the memories of the nights prior making him think. you?.
Cael would shake his head silently hoping that the pause and silence in return would veil his hesitation to respond as nothing more than the shower's water cutting off her question. In the mean time however he simply lathered himself up with soap and washed himself down with the warm water. Nothing felt better than that, a warm embrace against the waves.

She would give a slight bow of her head to his thanks, her hands folding together in front of her. "No problem." A faint smile once more offered, though he was gone the next instance, and as she posed her next question, she would be met with nothing but silence. A soft sigh passing her lips after a moment, hand moving to tuck her hair away behind her ears as she would exit the room and make her way to the guest room where she would gather up her clothing and then proceed into the bathroom.
It was nothing like her own, much smaller in fact, but it served its purpose which was all she really cared about. For a woman who usually showered at least once, if not twice a day, it had been far too long without and she was dying to feel that hot water rolling down over her flesh. Needless to say, once Kevala got into the shower she wouldn't be coming out any time soon, in fact, today she chose to remain in there for the entire time which the hot water heater would allow.
For the most part, she sat upon the shower floor, with her knees curled up and her brow pressed against them as she let her mind wander over the past few days, a little growl given at the emotions that threatened to escape their cage she had spent so many years building around them. The idea of herself actually feeling something like that for Cael ridiculous, if only because it would be inviting the same kind of pain she had suffered for the past thirteen years over his Father. That constant reminder that she was never good enough, that she never would be good enough, even though there was not a single thing she would not have done for that man.
A familiar burning in her eyes snapping her attention out of the past and out of her own pain, and back to the current time and place she was in. Quick to scrub her hands over her face, to pretend that she had not been crying and to act as though nothing like that had ever crossed her mind. Instead focusing her attention on lathering up her body, that familiar strawberry and vanilla scent that usually enveloped her wafting out of the shower and into the bathroom, hints of it even managing to escape from under the door.
Then, when the water finally turned cold, she would turn off the shower and climb out. Drying herself with one of her overly fluffy towels and tossing it side before rummaging through her bag, which she had thrown some of her clothing into, and digging out something to wear. Today's attire not all that fancy, just a pair of cut off jean shorts which were about the same size as the boxers she had been wearing the night before, if not smaller and hugging to her pert little rear end like a glove. Atop of that, a black and red hockey jersey which was about three sizes too big and hug down off of one shoulder as well as concealing the shorts she had on from view.
The only problem, as she soon found out, was that she had left her leather wrist cuffs laying on the table next to her bed, having taken them off due to the fact that they were making her itchy and she highly doubted he would have noticed, especially given his previous, in and out of it state. So, with a small grumble leaving her lips, and her auburn locks a tangled mess, she would exit her bathroom and try her best to be sneaky about slipping into the bedroom and getting them on without being seen.
Not that she figured he would care, but just wishing to avoid and any all chance of some conversation that ended with him telling her how weak she had been. Also, just wanting to get downstairs and get started on something to eat, to try and stave off the hunger pains until she was able to go out tonight for something a little more.....substantial.

Cael took his time, tending to be a tad bit longer than Kevala as the sensation itself was a twinge bit more significant since his dark passenger arrived or rather the fact that his darker nature had otherwise revealed itself from that cunning little hole it'd been hiding within. Still a strange recognition admiring this presence as it's own being rather than simply a power meant to be used to an end but even still it ravaged his thoughts.
A slight grin as he stepped out of the shower still damp but sure to wrap a towel around his waist as he walked out catching Kevala mid-stride back into the room. Confusion at first but then a smile. Again his smiles seemed more genuine and less... placated towards the demented overmind.
"Sneaking a peak, you perv."
A laugh ringing out showing that he was much better after all, though his eyes did trail to where her direction had her headed. A mental note of significance noted however not mentioned. His lips sealed shut the boy would simply waver their looking her over before tilting his posture away giving her the opportunity to snag what she'd come for without giving away that he'd caught her.

She would pause but a moment as he stepped out, icy hues darting over his figure as she watched the water trailing down his figure and disappearing into that towel which he kept snug about his waist. A slight grin crossing her features as she would simply shake her head and allow a small chuckle to pass her lips at his words. "Ah but it is nothing I have not seen before handsome."
Seizing the chance, while his attention was averted to grab up her cuffs and slide them into place over her wrists, not sure if he had noticed, but banking on the outside chance that he had not. Hopeful that he just didn't pay that much attention to her or what she did. Though, once she was done, and had them securely fastened back into their rightful places, she would relax a bit more, finding it much easier to breath and be her usual, saucy little self. "Besides, who is to say I haven't stolen a peek or two in the past three days. I mean, I did lay in bed with you for three whole days. Boredom can do dangerous things to the mind."
A little grin once more toying with her lips as she would silently make her way across the room, coming to a stop before him and casting her head back just a bit so that her gaze could meet his own. "I am glad to see you are doing better though." A little nod given before she would do the one thing she had been thinking about the entire time she had been laying in bed with him, and while in the shower just now. Rising up on her tip toes and snaking one hand around to the back of his head, she would pull him down and press her lips firmly against his.
Perhaps it didn't make much sense, but she was just seeking some sense of normalcy. Some sense of familiarity to center herself around. She didn't like not knowing what he meant by kissing her the way he had in the kitchen that day, and she supposed that if she did this, she could get a better understanding...her muscles tensing as she braced herself for being pushed away...mind already prepared for whatever verbal assault he would undoubtedly issue. At least then she would have a clear understanding of what was going on, know that he had just been out of it due to his stressed and exhausted state, and she could move on. Burying and destroying any and all emotions that wished to attach themselves to him.

A shared laugh, a shared smile, Cael felt lighter in this moment, the heavy restraints and weight on his chest from the nights before seemed alleviated if even only for a moment before the slight desperation set in and heaviness to his eyes seemed apparent. Those thoughts of the future seemed to dig at him like a corpse digging free of the ground. It lingered for but a moment those eyes paced against the ground before making their way slowly up.
Good to see you're doing better.
A smile and a kiss. His hands while baited at the sides of his towel rose up to snake around her pulling her taut against his chest. One hand nestled against her neck keeping lips locked and shaky breaths solid. The other hand pinning to her waist holding her there against his figure restored to strength holding himself upright and soon her as he lightly lifted her off the ground by a small measure just to share in an even toned kiss. Heated and hungry like the ones before but this time less begging, less needy, less desperate for that sex, the lust, that attention. It was wet, hot, and passionate, something in the breath seemed to transition something he felt more of now less of that emptiness being shared and more rather being filled.

If she had half a mind, and knew what was good for her, she would have jerked away and slapped him for freaking her out. For acting so out of character that she was left constantly confused on how to handle him or what to think. But the fact of the matter was, that regardless how much she told herself that she wanted, no, that she needed him to push her away and berate her or degrade her in some way...there was that part of her that wanted and needed this.
A soft sigh released against his lips as his arms snaked around her, head tilting softly as she felt the presence of his fingers at the back of her neck, holding her into that kiss which, despite her uncertainty and confusion, came across as different than all the others shared between the two up until now. Her own no different, she supposed. Though not lacking in that passion and desire that had been there before, there was definitely something else, something a lot less detached and reserved. It didn't feel, for the time being, that she was trying to keep him from reaching her, but instead was allowing him to find a part of her that not often saw the light of day. However, it was something that was very shaky, at least on her end and could easily disappear if the situation warranted.
Kevala simply spent far too much time guarded and hidden away, to open herself up, was harder than most would ever know. Yet, as he lifted her from the ground, her own arm would slide over his shoulder and around his neck, little fingers gently brushing through his hair as the other hand slid slowly and gently down his chest. The slightest shift of her body, her thigh caressing his own through the towel (should it still be in place) and a soft, gentle sound of pleasure resounding at the back of her throat.

Cael felt himself shiver, the first few signs that this had actually meant something, with most girls, even her, this would simply devolve into him restraining her beyond any aversion to his actions but things were changing most notably within him. Her hips riding against his own would certainly rid him of the towel albeit nothing he was too concerned about as he slowly lowered her settling her into the bed behind them softly before taking up a standing stance on the edge. His hands still snaked in her hair holding that kiss longer than he ever really had and kneeling lower so that she didn't need to crane upwards. It was shared, which was strange for him, the effort exposed to make this even between them the exchange so docile compared to last encounters.
Heavy pants between each kiss now coming up for air as they grew hotter, fiery even as the exchange got him going. Both hands now wrapped within her locks holding her to him. A cast smile against his lips knowing that this was right and that it was wrong in the same instance. It'd been so long for him, feeling her.

She couldn't even really begin to describe how something so simple and which they had done many times before could feel so completely different and exhilarating. But it did. There was nothing about this, other than the fire and passion that was shared between the lips as they kissed, that resembled any of their previous....heated...encounters. Though there was no lack of passion or hunger for her, or her for him...there was an alteration in what this act, this moment meant to them. Yet even as this thought crossed her mind, that overwhelming fear that she was letting herself believe something that wasn't really there, began to well up inside of her. Her small hand which had rested against his chest gripping tightly for but a moment, a genuine sense of panic in her small embrace, though for once, it was panic that she was leading herself, and him, down a road where one or both of them was likely to be hurt.
However, as he moved, softly resting her upon the bed and then leaning down to continue with his kiss against her lips, her grip on his chest would lighten as the fear seemed to melt away within the fire and heated passion of the kiss. His fingers in her hair sending a series of soft chills down her spine, and causing her to gasp gently against his lips, though she did not protest, nor did she attempt to turn this into an encounter similar to those they held before. Whatever he was giving to her, to this moment, she was willing to return and though one may not have read much into such an act, for those who knew her, it was asking quite a bit of the petite vixen.
With every break from that kiss, she would pant softly as those icy hues would flutter open to look up at him. She said nothing, merely caressed the back of his head with her fingers as they idly and affectionately brushed through his damp locks. Her tongue slowly slipping forth to glide across her lips, savoring the lingering taste of him there. Right now, as she leaned into his touch instead of away, small body grazing against his own,, she could not deny what she had been denying for quite some time now.
She had missed this, missed his touch, his taste of his kiss...Not simply because it was sex, and amazing sex at that, but because....it was him. The realization causing her heart to race within her chest, and though for a brief moment, her lips would part as if to say something, as if to save herself...a single look in his eyes sealed her fate, and once more brought her lips to press passionately and hungrily against his own.

Cael wrought his fingers through her hair pulling at her gently into him each time she escaped and felt the same in return from her, much like the time prior they were essentially inseparable, fiery, painfully passionate, though in this instance the series of tugs against one another made it like gravity. His lower hand would move from her waist to her shirt fiddling with the hem of it before parting for a moment taking to stare into her eyes for even just a moment before parting his lips.
"Why does this feel so.."
He couldn't find the words, no, more so he couldn't use the words his weakness of such pride berating his judgment to console her, or him even take what he wanted most of the situation. Rather than such he kissed her again, this time more fleeting before pulling at the hem of her shirt til it was up over her head before pursuing in another kiss this time linking his arms away from her over to the sides of her to keep his frame from crushing the petite figure.

She felt his hands, which never seemed to leave her hair save for their slight tugs at her shirt, pulling her into him as her own would do the same to him. Yet the need in her tugs, her need in having him there, against her, his body pressed firmly against her own were different than they had been before. She didn't know just how to explain it to be quite honest. He was different, she was different, and though she wanted to tell herself that it was just the stress of everything that had happened, she could not deny that the feelings she had now had been there before, just buried beneath the heated, untamed lust that they both had exhibited.
When he pulled back, his eyes meeting her own she would look at him with a softness in her icy hues that was not often seen, if ever these days. Her head shaking ever so slightly to his words, not able to finish them for him, because to be honest, she was just as incapable of voicing them as he seemed to be.
Gladly she would take the kiss in place of them, though this time pouring a bit more of herself into it than she had previously before breaking free to lift her arms and allow for the removal of her shirt. Every breath a bit more shaky than the last as she laid back upon that bed and felt the weight of him settling in atop of her, finding that each touch from him was far more electric than those that he had delivered to her during their first few "romps" as one might call it.
Her head resting back into the pillows, auburn locks just starting to dry, fanned out about her head as she looked up to him and slowly slid her fingers down along his chest. Still, she was unable to find the words, and yet she would speak up, in a soft, whisper between shaky and uneven breaths against his lips. "I don't know....but don't stop..." A please echoing within her tone, though she could not bring herself to voice that single word, fearing that within it came far too much weakness that she just could not afford to show. Not now, nor ever. Not when the risk was so high and the uncertainty of the moment still hung within the air.

Cael lazily cupped his arms around Kevala huddling her close to him before slipping quietly beneath the blankets she brought with her sure to bind them in tightly around the two as the chill of the room began to overtake the heat of the pair together. As he settled in one hand would caress the flat of her back while the other wrapped around the back of her neck at the base of her hairline winding fingers into her locks gently soothing them. His lips pressed to her forehead kissing her softly before letting his chin rest on her head. Cael was silent mostly still getting a handle on the whole situation, it was so strange he supposed, never had he come to admit such things and it left him so vulnerable, so changed.
"What now love?"
He knew it a foolish question, the road he'd set out on was already predestined and plotted out to ask more of it or rather something entirely different was just absurd. Perhaps it was just him trying to cope with an awkward situation he had no real understanding of. Trying to vie against the weakness that he couldn't help but feel.
