Alright, so I know that I promised an items list would be up this weekend, and I failed at it, and that I had said I would do it this week for sure. But in planning out how I wanted to go about this, I realized that it would possibly be better to see what you guys were looking for in terms of items.....I have a few set things that myself and Ryan have discussed in IMs over the past several weeks. From my stand point, the system that we have come up with, or at least the outline for the system we have come up with, seems pretty solid.
Now, before I officially open up this discussion, I just want to get a few things clear. Its nothing major, just some things that we have thought on and some things that I really don't think I will be changing my mind on.
These are just some of the major points that I can think of right off the top of my head, that we have discussed or that I have thought up in my spare time as of late. Plenty of room for ideas or comments on the matter.
I will be leaving this discussion open for a period of one week. Though I know that nobody is near close enough to purchase an item as of yet, I still want to wrap this up in a fairly timely fashion so that we can create the set(s) and give you guys something to shoot for.

Now, before I officially open up this discussion, I just want to get a few things clear. Its nothing major, just some things that we have thought on and some things that I really don't think I will be changing my mind on.
- No custom made items.** ( This is one of the ones that will not change. I can understand and respect the desire to be able to make your own items, but I think we have all seen in the past, on other boards how that can quickly become abused, and how complicated it can get depending on the rules set in place to govern it and the people creating the items. )
- No multipliers. ** ( Even though I am guilty of having used them in the past, when they were available to me, I strongly feel that multipliers cause more harm than good, and no item on this board will contain them. This is something I have been dead set against since I first started designing this board, and as much as I know some of you would like them, the answer will always be no. )
- Total number of 3 sets of items. This means there will the three complete item sets available for you to purchase. The catch is that only the first one will be available to you at the start, and then, as we progress further with the board plot and as major story arcs happen, the others will become unlocked. This is one of the things that I would like you guys to discuss...I have a few options in mind, which I will list, but feel free to give any ideas you might have.
Option #1: You will only be allowed to purchase from Item Set #2 once you have purchased all of Item Set #1, and from Item Set #3 once you have purchased Item Set #2
Option #2: You will be able to purchase from any item set that is unlocked, regardless if you own all the items in a set or not.
Option #3: All items, regardless of set, will remain at the same price.
Option #4: Item sets will increase in value depending on level. So, Item Set #2 would cost a bit more than Item Set #1, and so on and so forth.
Option #5: Certain item sets will only be available to you after you have reached a certain rank. - Teachers will have items, but they will cost more than what a student would pay for theirs. This is because teachers get paid for classes, and I feel that if they wish to buy an item then they should be required to work for it just as students do for their own, and because teachers are held in a different regard RP wise than students.
- There will be a list of consumables, so that you can see what is available to you, but you will not be allowed to purchase these items. They will be awarded during mini quests, or during certain events as deemed appropriate by staff.
- The transaction fee and the locking of items once they have been traded is something that is not up for discussion as far as doing away with it. Though if you perhaps feel that the fee is not enough, or that both parties should pay a fee, then by all means let us know.
- Quest items will not be handed out like candy. I have plans for these, but it is something I would like to keep as a surprise to people. This doesn't mean you cannot offer up your two cents on the matter and give me any information you would like to have taken into consideration.
- Weapons? I know that there was a request for them on PHS #1033, and though I myself do not really see a need for them, I am curious as to what you guys think.
These are just some of the major points that I can think of right off the top of my head, that we have discussed or that I have thought up in my spare time as of late. Plenty of room for ideas or comments on the matter.
