Purchasable Items.....[/i] **NOTE**This is a list of rules that concern the items that are available for purchase from the Items Shop. Keep in mind that we held a discussion concerning this not too long ago, so most of these are based off of what you guys suggested. Though on some things that you didn't seem to touch upon, I went ahead and made my own decisions on the matter. If there are any questions or concerns, PM me on my Admin account, and if there are enough concerns I will open a new discussion in the Help & Suggestions Folder so everyone can comment. - No custom made items. This means that you cannot come to me and ask for an item to be built to your specifications, because it will not happen. This is to keep things fair and even between everyone on the board and prevent God Items from being built. (Which was a common problem on other XIN boards I was on in the past.)
- There will be no multipliers. Ever. I have never been a fan of multipliers, even on Pillar items, and I do not want them on this board. They usually end up causing more harm than good, and it is a mess I would much rather avoid.
- There will be 3 item sets available for students to purchase and 3 item sets for teachers to purchase from. Each set will contain a total of 5 items.
- Teacher items will cost more than student items, due to the fact that teachers have more opportunities to earn cash rewards than students do, and due to the fact that as teachers, they are held in with a slightly higher regard than students. Basically, all this means, is that more is expected of teachers because of the position they hold.
- Teachers may not purchase from the Student Item Set nor can students purchase from the Teacher Items Set. I should hope this one is self explanatory.
- In the beginning, Set #1 of both the Student Item Set and the Teacher Item Set will be the only ones available for purchase and the only ones visible to the general public for viewing. As the boards plot progresses, and quests are completed ( major story arch quests ) the other item sets will be unlocked and available for viewing.
- Only once a set has been unlocked will the items within it be available for purchase. You will not need to own all items of a previous set in order to buy from another one.
- Item sets increase in value the higher up you go. This means that the items in Set #1 will cost less than the items in Set #2 and the ones in Set #2 will cost less than those in Set #3. This holds true for both student and teacher item sets. This will not be a huge increase, so don't worry. It is just that I feel each set will represent a different point in our RP and as such, should be held at a bit of a higher value.
- There is no limit to how many items you can own, but there is a maximum of 8 items that you are allowed to wear at one time. (Depending on stats)
- In order to buy an item you must fill out the form below and post a thread in the Items & Trading Shop::

[b]Discount Available:[/b] How much of a discount is available to you, if any. ( If you are awarded a discount from the staff, be it through quests or through RP Awards, you will be sent a PM indicating the amount. You must provide a copy of that PM here, in order to claim your discount.)
[b]Total Cash:[/b] How much money you have at the time of purchase.
[b]Total Amount Due:[/b] How much the item will cost you, including discounts.[/font]

Consumable, Quest, Pillar & School Staff Items.....[/b][/i][/color] - These items are not for sale, though a list of them has been placed in the Items & Trading Shop for you to review. This way, if you happen to receive one, you will know its affects and what to expect from using it.
- Consumables can be rewarded during random school events. ( ie. Monthly Events, Character Events, Mini-Quests, etc.)
- Consumables do not count toward your maximum amount of items you are able to wear. They are one time use items, and therefore do not fall under those guidelines.
- C.E.P's also come in “mystery” doses. These follow a specific set of rules which you can find in the section labeled “C.E.P's In Testing Phase”
- Certain items will be rewarded during quests. These will be slightly more powerful than regular items but much harder to obtain. You can only gain these through quests, either by finding them, or by being awarded them by a staff member.
- Pillar Items are set items that do not and will not change. Once a person has obtained a Pillar position, they will be rewarded the item that accompanies that title. For list of Pillar Items see Pillars.
- School Staff members are eligible for an item as a reward for holding their position. This does not mean that they have to take it, just that the option is available to them if those so choose. An example of this would be the tazer gun created for the Head of Security. Once an item has been created for a position, it is permanently locked with that position. No new items will be able to be created for that spot and if the person loses their title, they forfeit the item.
Example: Currently Mischa Badoer is Head of Security and she requested her item be a tazer gun which holds three shots that can be used on three separate students before she must purchase a refill cartridge from the items shop for $300. Should she leave the position, and it be filled by another person, Mischa would then forfeit the item and whoever took the title next would either have the option of carrying the item or going without an item altogether..

Trading/Selling Items & Money.....[/i][/size] - You are able to trade items, which you purchase, to another player. However there will be a $150 transaction fee, per item, due upon trading of the item and it is the responsibility of the one who wants to gift the item to pay this fee. This is just to ensure that people don't go trading items all willy nilly. So if you wish to trade two items at the same time to another player, the total transaction fee will be $300.
- Once an item has been traded to you, it is locked to your character permanently. This means you will not be able to trade it back, or give it away or anything. So you might want to keep in mind the amount of items you are allowed to wear when accepting items.
- Items cannot be traded between accounts. So if you have three different accounts, you cannot trade from one of your characters to another. No exceptions to this rule.
- Items can be sold back to the shop for 50% of their original selling price. So you paid $2,000 for it originally, you can sell it back to the items shop for $1,000.
- Consumables which have been awarded to you during an event or any other school function, cannot be sold back to the Item Shop. This is because they are given to you freely, and if you were allowed to sell them back, it would create a sort of inflation that we don't exactly want.
- Consumables can be traded between players, but unlike regular items, where you must pay a transaction fee, with consumables, you must receive a consumable in return.
Example: Person A has a Chemical A-101 and wishes to trade it to Player B. In order for this to happen, Player B must be willing to trade his consumable, Chemical A-103 in exchange.
- You can sell items to other players, however for this to take place, it must be for a reasonable price, and there will be a %20 sales tax (payable by the purchaser) instated upon the sale. So no selling some amazing item for a $1. If staff believes that you are underselling the item too much, they will discuss it with you before approving the transaction.
- Quest items cannot be sold to the Items Shop nor can they be sold to other players. The only way to get rid of a quest item is to trade it, and for this the transaction fee (payable by the one trading the item) is $250 per item. This is more than regular items, due to the rare nature of the quest items and the fact that they will typically be more powerful than a regular item.
- Once you have bought an item or had it traded to you, you must post that the item is locked in your bio next to the item's description. Pretty much, all this is, is asking you to put [LOCKED] either next to the item's name or description as well as the date you received said item and from who you got it. Think of it like a receipt of purchase.
- Money can only be traded between players, not between accounts. ( No gifting yourself $2000 from one of your other accounts.)
- There is a 10% tax on trading money.
