Monthly Events.....
Monthly events are events that occur every month, although they are not always the same type they are mostly of mundane activities that most High School students would experience from time to time. They include but are not limited to holiday dances, volunteer time, sporting events, and even academic challenges.
Each month a new Monthly will be posted where you can participate for the chance of EXP and Money. These Montly Events will be both run by staff or Pillars. The amount of money and EXP that you can gain will be handed out by the person running the event. Typically, you will be required to submit a post of at least 700+ words, and the rewards will consist of +5 EXP and $500 cash.
There are exceptions though. Meaning that if the person running the event would prefer that you participate in a thread with another person or a group of people, they can determine how many words the each player must type within that thread and if they choose to, they can increase the rewards ( pending staff approval ).
Example:
Valentines Day
Duration of Quest: February 1 – February 27
Requirement of Quest: 1 Post of 700+ Words
Reward for Quest Completion: +5 Stat Points & +$500 to Money
Description of Quest: You are required to create a post in which your character spends time creating, giving or receiving something for Valentine's Day. You can collaborate with another player if you wish to do so, but keep in mind that your posts must meet the minimum word requirements.
Main Quests.....
These quests are multi-user interaction threads where there is a protagonist or problem presented to the students, often part of a larger arc where something near and dear may or may not be put into jeopardy. There is no minimum post size for these quests but participation weighs heavily on what sort of reward you receive.
Rewards for these quests are custom made for each one, and consist of Items, Stats, and in some cases Money.
1)Quests are designed to be flexible. There is no established post order, but not everything a person does will get NPC reaction, instead there will be reactions based on what the person running the event ( or GM ) and how their character/NPC responds to your actions.
For instance:
Player 1 searches the trash can for clues.
GM lets Player 1 know in character that there is nothing of value in the trash can.
These interactions are particularly important for quests not involving outright violence.
2) At the end of every quest participation will be weighed against a randomization method (Rolling of dice or random number generator for instance), rewards will then be given out accordingly. Some rewards all people involved will get.
3) If you are deemed interrupting of the flow of the story you will be asked nicely to cease. If it continues you will be asked to leave the thread.
4) Anyone on this site can GM a quest, there is just a simple matter of procedure which you must follow if you wish to do this. First, you must fill out the form below and submit it to the admin. From there, the admin will take the idea to staff, and if it is deemed worthy of consideration ( meaning it is not a complete BS request ) then there will be a group meeting in which you will be pulled in with the staff in order to better present your idea. Keep in mind however, that if you are allowed to run with your idea, that your story will affect the entire board plot and that staff will be monitoring the Quest very closely to ensure that it is being done fairly. Should you be caught performing unjustly toward your fellow Rpers, you will be warned. If the action continues, Staff has the right to step in and remove your participation from the quest and dock you of your rewards. From there, staff may choose to either continue with the quest or close it down and hand out rewards to everyone who took part.
5) If you run a quest, it is up to you to inform staff once the quest is complete so that they may hand out the rewards based on player interaction and participation. As the GM of the quest, you will be given a special award, be it EXP, money or an item. The amount of your reward is based upon how much effort you put into your quest and how thought out the story was.
Keep in mind that this is us, as staff, trying to give everyone a chance to have a say in what the main story of the board is. We are attempting to encourage your own personal plot ideas, and allow you to grow both as a character and as a RPer. DO NOT ABUSE THE SYSTEM! If you are caught abusing the system for any reason, you will be banned from creating quests for a period to be determined by the staff.
Mini Quests.....
These are events, that usually will stem from main quests that have taken place or are about to. These will be staff run and can happen at any moment. ( Meaning your thread could get high jacked into being a mini quest if the staff feels that it is possible to make it work. )
There will be rewards, but these will be limited to consumable items only as well as EXP ( the amount to be determined per quest but not to exceed +3 ).
Over time, it is possible that other members of the board will be allowed to run mini quests, if it seems that it is needed or if they are capable of coming up with a good idea. But for now, to keep things from being too overcomplicated, these will be restricted to staff only.

Character Name: Name of your character.
Player Name: Your name, or whatever you go by.
Date: The date that you are submitting the application.
Quest Idea Summary: A basic summary of what kind of quest you would like to have and what you hope to achieve with it. This does not have to be a ten page essay, just enough that the Admin gets the general idea of what you are looking to do so that there is something to take to the rest of the staff.
Misc: Anything else that you wish to include to be taken into consideration. This can be the length in which you want your personal arc to run, any mini quests you would like to have stem up from this or anything else you feel is important.
