OOC: Based off the sign up thread. If you wish to join just PM me and let me know. Definitely more room available.
Cheerleading
- Michael Cypren - Mascot
- Aryanna Katashi - Cheerleader/Captain
- Kazue Velasquez
(There, the list is updated since it was apparently driving a certain somebody completely insane. XD)
(Go away, Sarah XD)
Once again she found herself hanging around the football field after school, dressed in the same workout attire she had grown accustomed to wearing, the black shorts and hooded pink shirt. Though for today, there was no whistle about her neck. Nope, she didn't feel a need for it.
As far as Kazumi was concerned, this was going to be an easy, fast tryout session. Make the girl's prove they could actually do the flips and stuff that she showed them, make sure that they had "pep" or whatever the heck you called it, and make sure that they actually wanted to be a cheerleader. Nowhere near as troublesome as some of the other sports she was going to be holding tryouts for over the next couple weeks.
Once again, Kaz was seated in the center of the field, eyes scanning over the sign up sheet, her free hand drawing a bottle of water to her lips. She had been feeling really run down lately, the heat not helping matters. Not to mention, she just couldn't seem to get enough water. A few random thoughts crossing her mind, though she quickly shoved them aside and returned her focus to her task at hand, finger tracing over the one name...
Katashi...
She wasn't sure who the girl was, or how she was related to Kazumi or her Mother, but she wasn't sure she wanted to know either. Her last run in with a Katashi family member had not exactly inspired the warm fuzzies, if you know what I mean.
As for the boy, well apparently he was trying out for the mascot, so unless one of the other girls wanted the position, or unless one of the other boys wanted it instead of a spotter position, she saw no harm in it.
A small yawn passing her lips as she glanced down at the watch she had chosen to wear today, making note of the time and that the girls, and boys, should be showing up pretty soon. Good...she could go home and lay down soon enough and just put this day behind her....

A bright day, though the sun wavering just beneath the bleachers leaving a goldenrod descent down across the field. This was no ordinary day no this was the day that Michael happened to be stalking Lauren Storm. The hottest girl in the senior class she was a golden blond with pursed lips shaded in a glossy pink that was unmistakeable. Her clothes reflected her personality always bubbly and bright exuding a sort of grappling hook for your attention.
As it were Lauren proceeded into the girl's lockerroom with Michael in close pursuit, he was slow, walking at even pace with her making sure to weigh his steps so that they intentionally made no sound. His eyes would remain plastered to the back of her neck catching the hem-line of her dress seeing those perfect curves to her jaw. She'd begin turning, like a spazz his face would shift upwards towards the roof to "casually" appear to be looking at something interesting or thinking deeply about the commonwealth or something.
"Are you going to the boys changing room?"
Quickly Michael looked back a shifty glance towards her and then around him as though she saw right through him before the realization set in. His cheeks flushed a brutally burning red trying to deny the fact he was ashamed.
"uhmm Yeah.."
"Well its over there silly.."
A perfectly manicured finger would jut out to the complete opposite trail forcing Michael's pace to freeze, his heart to stop and panic set in. She knew he was following her Oh my god, this was horrible how would he ever recover. Quick think of something don't panic, don't panic, Dont....
His feet would double their pace racing to the boy's locker room before meeting a pair of hairy fingers clutching over his face. Peering eyes would barely make out the bullies that'd been picking on him before.
"Hey buddy, here's your big chance to talk to her."
*Moments later*
Michael would be found stumbling out of the changing room before faceplanting into the fray of girl's landing in Lauren's lap unable to get up before hearing a terrified scream and a forceful shove knocking the already confused boy onto the ground flailing like a turtle but in an oversized suit unable to rise.

She wasn't entirely sure why she had decided to try out for cheerleading of all things. Not that she was shy or anything. No, it was more a matter of her not really giving a damn about this school let alone the sports division of it. Sure, when she had first moved here she had been fully prepared to play the part of typical teenage girl in order to keep her "parents" happy with her and to uphold her part of the bargain. But after that last bit of her humanity had been so callously stripped away from her, she could have cared less if she angered them or not.
What was the worst they could do to her? Ship her back to the orphanage in France? To be honest, it wouldn't be that bad...At least she knew how to handle the kids there. Here, well clearly she was a little out of her element. Not something she was very comfortable with to say the least.
But regardless, here she was, dressed in a black sports bra type top and a matching pair of little black shorts she would make her way out onto the field. Her dark locks were pulled back atop her head, keeping them out of the way...and a pair of brand new white sneakers adorned her feet.
It didn't take her long for her eyes to settle upon the Varsity Captain, looking her up and down with a bit of mild interest and nothing more. She was hot, but rumor had it that she was also dating the School Captain, which right now...that was a tree Aryanna did not wish to bark up. Though, she had to admit, if he was anything like that one pillar had been, she could prance circles around him before he ever lifted a finger to stop her.
But that was beside the point! A little shake of her head to get her mind on the task at hand as she would nudge her sunglasses back into place on her nose. As she neared the other girl, she would give her another once over, now that she was closer and could make out the detail she tried to hide under that hood. "Aryanna Katashi...I am here about the head cheer leader position..." That French accent rolling off her tongue rather smoothly as she would give a little nod of her head toward the girl and then move to stand off to the side and wait for somebody else to be joining. Not sure who else was supposed to be here, or even if anyone else was going to show up. Though she had told Margaret to try out, so hopefully there would be at least one other person....Not that Aryanna minded being the center of attention, she just didn't want to stand out too too much to the pillars just yet. Not until she had a good reason to.

Kazue's mother had gotten quite a lot of information on the school and as soon as she found out about cheerleader try outs she told her daughter. Kazue was like a mini-Silk in lots of ways and since her mother had once been a cheerleader, the young girl wanted to try and be one too. She had been so very excited about it that she had almost lost track of what day it was. Lucky her, Silk remembered and got her daughter to school on time.
Kazue wore her green contacts, her black hair was done up in two buns on either side of her head. Her mother convinced her to wear school colors since that would surely set her apart. So Kazue wore a red training bra and black training skort. Which everyone knew was a cross between shorts and a skirt. Her mother even gave the little asian girl some crimson lipstick to wear along with some black eyeshadow to make her eyes pop.
Excitedly, the little asian girl ran towards the gym and getting there threw open the door quickly, not wanting to be late. She wore a nice pair of black sneakers that squeaked slightly on the floor of the gym. She'd stop and kick them against each other till they stopped squeaking and then hurried over to the other girls who had lined up. She heard one girl say she was trying out for head cheerleader and Kazue blinked. The girl was pretty. In fact... all the girls trying out seemed to be very pretty. She felt a bit nervous. A big smile crossed her now crimson painted lips and she hopped up and down.
"Kazue Velasquez here to try out."
She said when it was her turn to introduce her self for try outs. She and Silk discussed that Kazue wouldn't pick any position. She would just take what was given to her. At 5 foot 6 inches and 140 lbs the girl was fairly normal sized. She was rather peppy too. At least today she was. She bounced in place and looked around. A smile or a smirk always on her face when someone looked at her. She heard a commotion come from the girl's locker room and blinked.
Her hand shot up as she stared at the girl's locker room. She watched some older boys leaving the doors of the locker room after having thrown another boy into them.
"Uhm... Excuse me... Coach? Should those boys be throwing other boys into the girl's locker room? Should I go stop them or something?"
She asked innocently. In her mind... stopping them would be a good idea, also calming the other girls in the locker room would be a good idea. She wondered though... was she the only one who cared?

*Boop
Big ears on the mascot would wiggle and a flushing red heat came to Michael's cheeks making the mask's vision veil glass over with a thick layer of persperation. Deep breathing would come in and out fogging up the air passages.
"Hu-hu-hu-hi!"
A deep nasally voice would come out spitting out a bit of liquicious spit from the port valves in the mask. Michael wasn't sure what to think he felt so exposed, so left out in the open but in reality she didn't even realize who was behind the mask.
"Aiyyehhh!"
A frail push and the weight behind the scream would send Michael doubling over through the doors and out back to where the cheerleaders had compiled. Now he was stuck sprawled out on his back like a turtle defenseless.

Kazumi would sit there a little longer, only to hear a thick French accent coming form somewhere nearby. When her eyes lifted she saw that girl, the one that looked way too much like Momma Kevala. Oh sure, she had noticed, but honestly she had chosen not to dwell on the matter too long. It was just one of those things where she was sure it would do more harm than good to ask. "Well, we will see...Go ahead and start warming up."
A little nod given before she would turn back to her own clipboard, checking off the name of the Katashi girl. Cousins perhaps? Well, that was sort of a given, but yeah, she just wasn't sure how. Though just as her mind would again become lost in thought on the matter once more, a rather bubbly and cheerful voice would catch her attention. Looking up once more, deep blue eyes fell upon the girl who was bouncing about, seemingly rather excited to be here.
Her enthusiasm bringing a smile to Kaz's lips as she tilted her head back just slightly to maintain eye contact with the girl. "It is a pleasure to meet you Kazue. I am Kazumi Badoer, Varsity Captain. Go ahead and warm up while we wait on everyone else to show up." A little nod given as she would again check off a name on her list.
However, just as she did, she too heard the commotion coming from the girl's locker room and would raise her eyes to see what was going on. A little sigh released as she saw some bigger boys pushing Michael into the girl's locker room. "Ugh...No, they shouldn't be doing that. But then guys are usually stupid like that."
She would drop her clipboard to the ground before jogging the short distance toward the locker rooms, only toe hear the distinct sound of a girl shrieking before Michael came tumbling back out and onto his back, landing at Kazumi's feet.
As she looked down at him, she would shake her head slightly, hands on her hips and one foot tapping against the floor by his head. "Honestly, when are you going to stand up for yourself and stop taking their crap?" Not really mad or irritated, just curious. She knew a person could only take so much bullying and what not before they snapped. So yeah, naturally she would do her best to be the nice girl in this situation....Her small hand extended outward toward him in a gesture to help him up.
Whether he accepted or not, she would eventually pull her hand back and then turn to face everyone else that had shown up. "Okay, welcome to cheerleading tryouts.Go ahead and warm up, get your stretches out of the way and mingle among yourselves. I will be with you here in a moment." A little smile flashed toward them all before she would turn and head off to pick up her clipboard, crossing off the final on the list of names and then once more tossing it aside.
With a little sigh, she would begin to do her own warm ups. Unlike with the football tryouts, Kazumi fully planned to take part in this one. For once, she actually knew what she was doing, seeing as how cheer was a lot like gymnastics. Yep, she was going to make sure that if they got a spot on this tea they had damn well earned it.
OOC: Sorry if this post was shit...I have a massive headache but wanted to at least get this one out to kinda keep the thread moving along. Go ahead and skip Aryanna, I will post for her later on. Like I said, I just wanted to get this going. <3

OOC: Feel a little better, so gonna try to post for Aryanna so as not to hold up the thread.(No promises on quality here.) Or at least keep from backing it up further than it already is. No promises on it being top notch or anything. haha
She wasn't sure what it was that she had been expecting, but this was not it. She had just assumed that she would show up, say a few things and bam, instant cheer captain. Never had it occurred to her that she would have to actually show what she could do. Not that she was incapable or anything, its just that the Varsity Captain has not struck her as the type to get out there and get active, especially on something like cheerleading. No, she was far too quiet and shy for that, or so it had seemed.
Hell, the girl couldn't even make it through an entire day of school without hiding under that hood of her's. So, when Kazumi told them to warm up, she couldn't help but arch a slender brow and look over the girl curiously for a moment as she too began to stretch out her muscles. Add to that, the girl that had just show up, Kazue and her over the top happy personality, and this was quickly becoming a situation that made Aryanna feel very out of place.
She wasn't used to such emotions or to such...chipper..ness. Again, she wasn't sure what she had been expecting. Though, one thing was for sure, when it came to the boy who had been thrown into the girl's locker room and then thrown back out...She thought it was amusing as hell, giggling softly even as Kazumi ran off to make sure he was okay. But then, that was sort of expected of Aryanna since she was, for lack of a better term, a bully in her own right.
Regardless though, she would begin to do her stretches, making sure to work every muscle until they were pliable and ready to endure the vigorous workout that was to come. "How long do you suppose this is going to take? I have to eat dinner with my parents later and I cannot be late." Not entirely a lie, but not the whole truth either. She did have to meet with her parents later on, though instead of it being a lovely dinner, it was more like some kind of business meeting. Likely to discuss how she had been fucking up their little agreement in one way or another.
Not that Aryanna really minded being late to that, she was just anxious to get this show on the road so that she could make the team and then go home and show off to her "parents" in order to get them to back the fuck off about whatever else they were being pissy about. A frustrated little sigh given as everyone seemed to be taking their sweet ass time.....though she wasn't going to say anything. No, she knew better....that was a sure fire way to get cut before you even got the chance to try out. Nope, all she could do now, was wait for that Kazumi chick to get off her ass and get things moving.

Kazue nodded her head to her coaches words and watched as the coach jogged off to go check on their fallen mascot. Kazue's eyes sharply darted to the bullies who had shoved the boy and she made a mental note later. Because Kazue had been bullied before... she had no love for bullies and much like her mother, held grudges. Those boys better hope they are never caught in the halls with Kazue. She'd make them eat the ground. Warm ups were started, regardless of the mascot being bullied and Kazue would do everything her mother had told her to.
Kazue was a great deal shorter then her mother but the exercise was the same. Simple stretching went into some very strange Tai Chi moves though and you would think she would feel out of place doing this, but no. Clearly the little girl was a free spirit or at least was raised to be. One of the girls spoke and Kazue smiled at her.
"I dunno. My mom said it depends on how many people are at tryouts. We see each person do what they can and then people go home. At least that is how they did it for my mom when she was in high school."
She would look back towards the coach and the fallen mascot and blink.
"Ne, do you think the person in that costume is okay? I don't think that is the comfiest place to be thrown about in."
Kazue had stopped her warm ups and just watched as coach would try to help the person up. Perhaps... Kazue would make friends with that person. She could teach them how to protect them selves. Well... maybe. If that person wanted help. Her mother explained to her a long time ago that people didn't really like to fight. Kazue didn't really understand why, but in her household, fighting was done to protect your self and the ones you cared about. Well... most of the time. The rest of the time it was just good fun.
The half Japanese half Spanish girl went back to her stretching and during one of the stretches the sound of her bones popping could be heard. To her it almost sounded like it echoed. She began to giggle. It was a disturbing sound to hear something like bones being broke and then to hear her little girl giggle. Kazue was quite a weird one. Lucky for her, none of her bones were breaking.
