NPCs
Basic InformationName: Takahashi Ginji
Nicknames: Taka
Age: 17
Grade: Junior
Ethnicity: Japanese
Nationality: Japanese-American
Height: 5'6"
Weight: 130 lbs
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Bisexual
Eye Color: Brown
Hair: Brunette/Blond
PersonalityApathetic. Aloof. Amoral. Aggressive. Abhorrent in any and all ways.
Ginji is incredibly intelligent given his family's past, and has even been labeled the black sheep of the Takahashi clan simply because of his vast array of knowledge. This led to him being highly regarded as the family sage, which used to make him kindhearted and bring him happiness. His intelligence soon got the better of him though. Ginji had become condescending to anyone of lesser intelligence than he, and would show it in ways that would eventually make him out as horribly ruthless; the smear on the Takahashi family name.
Ginji soon made a hobby of using his intelligence to come up with ways to brainwash the masses into doing, not what he wanted, but things that would turn others against the performer en masse. When his interest began to wane from that, he soon began to devise various ways of inflicting as much pain as possible on others, without killing them.
Ginji is cold and indifferent. He only cares about entertaining himself and becoming stronger and will do whatever it takes, including injuring those who care for him. He has no qualms with hurting others, and makes no effort to hide his malicious intent even as he is charming others. People, family, relationships, none of those matter in the least to him. About only one person is considered even remotely important to him, and that is his best friend, Atsushi Nakamura.
Physical InformationBuild: Ginji is neither overly muscular nor a skinny weakling. He's right in the middle, he's toned with developing muscles.
Defining Marks: He has a very faint, almost invisible scar that runs horizontally across the bridge of his nose.
Description: Ginji has very diverse apparel selection, with a wide range and variety of clothing and accessories to choose from, the boy could literally wear a new outfit every day, and no two outfits would be the same. That is because to Ginji, how one presents oneself is just as important as how intellectual one is. As such, Ginji will always take the time to make himself look good, and will never look like he just threw on the nearest clothes he could find. The one accessory Ginji will always be seen wearing however is the piercings on his left ear, a birthday gift from Atsushi.
His hair is constantly unkempt, which is ironic, as he does it on purpose. Plain looking hair bores him dreadfully, which is why he often dresses in the "Visual Kei" style of the typical Japanese rock star. He does keep himself in shape, but not to the point that he is overly muscular, he prefers staying fit and agile, but he is slightly stronger than your average Joe.
Fighting InformationFighting Style: Freestyle, self-named "The Phantasm"
Years Practiced: 4
Description of style: Ginji has knowledge of areas which are likely to lead to a break if struck effectively, as well as joints that, when struck, can be hyper-extended and even tear, causing permanent damage to his opponent as well as cause shock damage, and makes it a point strike those before doing anything else to incapacitate his opponent. This prevents his opponents from fighting back, and ensures the fight ends as quickly as possible. He mainly uses this style to make up for his lack of speed. It is named "The Phantasm" to reflect that it should dispatch an opponent ruthlessly but efficiently.
History InformationHistory: Takahashi Ginji was born in Osaka, Japan, to two loving parents, Takahashi Natsuki and Takahashi Emiriya. They were informed at the child's premature birth that he may end up mentally handicapped, due to the fact his body had not fully grown before he was born, requiring him to be placed in the hospital's care, in the infant intensive care unit, for an undetermined period of time, which depleted quite a bit of their family funds in a short amount of time.
Despite the financial crisis they had ended up in, they made sure to do all they could to provide for their child, and treated him lovingly despite his disabilities. They lavished him with extra attention and encouraged him constantly, as he was slower than the other children, and did not scold or punish him, only gently chided him. He was never teased or put down by his cousins, instead, he was admired, for he literally pushed himself to his limits, never complaining once.
His family continued to treat him the same, though the meaning behind it changed. As if God himself had bestowed a miracle upon them, it seemed Ginji's perseverance paid off, for he soon developed intelligence at such an astounding rate, it almost felt surreal. By the time he was ten, he was doing math at much higher levels than his cousins in high school, and was reading and writing at a high school level. His family were surprised by such a change, pleasantly surprised, and welcomed it all the same. They no longer acted kind to him just because they had to, but for a genuine reason, they praised and adored him because he could make the family name into something worthy. By the time Ginji was fourteen, he was one of the popular kids, the guy everyone wanted to hang out with and talk to. If you didn't get the chance to hang out with Takahashi Ginji, you could never say you were part of the popular group. His parents were immensely proud of him, and were not ashamed to say he was their son.
Then the boy everyone knew and loved, changed, and not in a good way.
His father came home from work one evening, only to find his wife gagged and lying on the ground, bones broken and cuts everywhere, a stream of blood running from beneath her. She could make no sound, only could rove her eyes back and forth in fear, as his father ran to his wife, only to feel a blow to his elbow, followed by his various joints, causing him to collapse to the floor. What he saw after he fell made him wish he had been knocked out instead. Ginji was crouched over him, a stoic expression on his face, and a knife in his hand.
["Hello Father. Did you have a good day? I'm glad to see you are home, I had a question for you. Why is it you only let me play the same games over and over again? I didn't want to play those games anymore, so I decided to start a new one."]Raising the knife up, Ginji would slash away at him, his father unable to move with all his joints broken. All he could do was scream, which in itself was impossible, for Ginji had gagged him. Natsuki could hardly believe what was happening, what he was hearing, he just squeezed his eyes shut, wanting it be nothing but a dream that he would wake up from soon.
["I am enjoying this game so much more, but with only Mother to play with, I had begun to grow bored... then you came home. This is no dream Father, I only just wanted someone to play with, nothing more."]Natsuki and Emiriya were later found dead, both their throats slit, and due to flaws in the justice system of Japan, Ginji was never convicted of their murders. Thanks to planted evidence, the court and authorities were led to believe another family that were rivals of the Takahashi family, had tried to pin the murders on Ginji - the savant child of the Takahashi's - and that he had committed the terrible act.
Not long after the tragedy, Ginji was adopted and taken to the United States, New York City specifically, where he attended Public High School #552. Here, he found and met other like-minded people like himself, and discovered new ways to excite his "games" up through inspiring role models like Stein Archist, as well as his best friend, Atsushi Nakamura. Becoming Atsushi's right hand man, he helped his best friend prolong many a riot at the school, just before it was shut down. As he was still going through high school, it only made sense that he'd transfer to another school, and followed his best friend to Public High School #8011.
