OOC: Alright, so here is how this one is going to work due to the fact that there were a shorter list of competitors than I had hoped for. One person, of the three who advanced, had to take on Kevala....after four fucking dice rolls, this is what I got. Cael Vs. Kevala......So, as I stated when I posted the class, if somebody had to take her on, he/she would get an auto pass to the next round, but keep in mind that Cael will have to carry over all his injuries to that round which he gains here, so in no way will this win not be earned.
Add in your stats from your last fight club, and then post them into your first post as well as a list of your injuries so that all that can be locked in and so that you can keep track, since you will need that for the next round.
Again, as stated in the previous Round 2 thread, if you do not play true to your character being hurt, which I doubt will be an issue here, then I will have to have Kev be extra mean....Never fun. So lets play...............as nice as we possibly can considering which characters these are.
End of the round, Cael will get a +3 EXP for the class/fight, and Kevala will take a +2....If there is an issue with her stat gain from this, please contact me and let me know....
Match begins on 5/17/2012 for me, which means it will end on 5/31/2012.....If you manage to knock Kev out before that time, you get an extra hour to recover.......If she takes you out, due to the extreme circumstances of this fight, you also get an extra hour to wake up and try to recover somewhat.....Though don't foresee that being an issue. Questions/Concerns....you know where to find me.
Kev's Stats Strength: 20 Dexterity: 40 Constitution: 35 Intelligence: 25 Wisdom: 20 Charisma: 40
Kev's Injuries- Bruised knuckle from punching Michael
- Still soaking wet and very cold from final fight of round 1
_________________________________________
Well, this was an interesting turn of events, and though she did not find it disagreeable, she did find it rather amusing. Having just finished up her last class with Shane and Mekiel, she had not had time to change, and the room had not really thawed out all that much. Well, at least not for her. To Cael it would feel like a regularly air conditioned room, and nothing more...well not unless he was still half frozen from his previous round.
No, Kev was very much still very cold, her skin slightly paler than usual, her lips, having regained a bit of color from her moving around were still just a tad pale and well....she was soaked, those black yoga pants clinging to her every curve and the halter top she wore...well same thing.
The room set up? Five boards, each suspended three feet off the ground on sawhorse type objects, three feet apart from one another. Each board was eight feet long, three feet wide. And, as if the boy didn't know her well enough by now, she had added in her own personal touch....The floor was littered with broken shards of glass and other various objects that were sharp, pointy and could leave a big ouch if you got knocked off and fell three feet into them.
Not a bit of the floor was left uncovered, well save for a small trail leading up to the end of the center board so that he could at least get up there unscathed.
As for Kevala, well, she was already standing at the opposite end of that very board, her feet and ankles taped up, as were her hands and wrists...though that was it...No shoes, no gloves...she was content just as she was. "You should have changed clothing Kevala." The large man standing near the control panel, fully decked out in a white t-shirt and athletic shorts would look over at her, a shake of his head in disapproval.
"Oh Carmine, you really must learn to have a bit more fun. Besides, not like I haven't been through worse." She chuckled softly and would just shake her head, her hand moving to press some of her dark locks back out of her face. She had pulled down her ponytail, leaving her hair draping freely about her neck and shoulders, plastering itself to her skin.
Only when Cael would enter would she let those icy hues lock upon him as she chuckled softly. "I don't think I need to explain what this is to you..." The boy was smart, as smart if not smarter than his Father, in some ways....She wasn't about to waste time on the rules with him when she was more than certain he would figure it out for himself.
No, she would just wait for him to take his place before Carmine would seal the door using the control panel and the little lackie boy would hurry to fill the path Cael had just used with glass....leaving no safe place to fall.
Kev's feet sliding slightly apart, steadying herself as she kept her focus solely upon him. "Come on...lets play." That grin all too amused in that moment as she waited. Fuck this was going to likely hurt at some point or another, but was going to be oh so much fun.
Carmine, holding his position next to that control panel, watching intently, if not a bit concerned.

Ouch my face! Strength: 17 Dexterity: 11 Constitution: 15 Intelligence: 5 Wisdom: 15 Charisma: 5
Injuries:- Bruised Ribs and Sternum
- Bruised Shins
- Split/Bloodied Lip
- Bloodied forehead.
Cael took a moment to examine the field at play not taking to notice Kevala until he'd gotten a good eyes worth of the playing field they were on. The boy would test his limits of course taking his time to stretch and examine all that was hurt in his exchange with Kazumi. Not too bad but he felt that it'd hinder him from taking on his Aunt at full, if he wanted to win he was going to have to play at a different extreme.
Those Emerald eyes flitted across the batteground looking for easy exchanges, his entire purpose here was to survive without taking any collateral damage as his main objective was to get to the final round as close to full strength as possible. Even then it'd be difficult at best.
A small sigh before starting into a running pounce to the nearest board, his shins buckling beneath him but Cael's mind rapidly working to correct the flaw, the rafter swinging momentarily on its tug-chord feeling his weight at work.
"Hmm a little overkill, even for you Auntie."
He'd laugh briefly still paying more attention to the rafters than Kevala in this instance. Only five boards, that made it difficult to evade. If he were lucky he'd have to restrain her movement like he did Kazumi. The problem was Kevala was stronger and wiser than his estranged cousin.

She would shrug just a bit as his comment as she glanced around, for a moment, before letting those icy hues follow him, noting the way his legs reacted to the impact of his moving around like that. She grinned. He had taken a decent amount of damage from her daughter, and perhaps it was wrong of her to think about such as an opening, especially with family and all, but then, her logic and her sense of right and wrong were seriously askew. "Oh, you know me. I like to leave a lasting impression." Her other student's wouldn't soon forget their Fight Club class, which she was sure each had signed up for thinking it would just be like any other fight they had been in.
Which, well, was kind of the point. She did so hate when people underestimated her and just how far she would go if she felt like it. "Besides, I had to find something to entertain myself with at this blasted school." A little, casual shrug as she brushed her tongue across her lips slowly, not bothering to push back the wet locks that had fallen into her face.
A moment given, noticing he wasn't really focusing on her, causing her to shake her head ever so slightly and then bend her knees just a bit so that she could bounce upward....jumping up off the board and then landing back down upon it hard enough to send it into an unsteady shake upon its stands...One that she easily enough rode out before moving and hopping to the next board on her right. "Come on handsome...don't you go disappointing me now." An almost modest little pout given before she would chuckle, not really able to maintain the face as those eyes sparked to life with amusement. She didn't get to play that often anymore...so, this should be fun, no matter the outcome.

Cael's aunt was a little mental. Yup there was no denying that hell she probably would attest to the fact that she was a little bit on the crazy side. He'd shake his head quickly gathering himself on the nearest totem as it were stumbling a little bit uneavenly as he did so but quick to balance out lingering on the weight he distributed to gather a good compensation verses his previous injuries.
"Certainly make a spectacle of things, now what say you play nice and give me an easy go to the next round."
A cocky, somewhat teasing response jostling about on the pillar and juking quick to the right jumping to the next board and keeping his distance aptly away from Kevala. He didn't know her strengths and had only fought her simulation in the training room of Gabriel's at twenty percent, even then it was enough of a challenge to go on. Cael was going to be selfish and fight for self preservation.

She would watching with those icy hues, taking in every movement and ever little flinch or spasm that indicated he was hurt or that signaled a weak spot. Yes, he was Gabriel's son, and there were few alive who did not know of her feelings for that man, but that was just it....they were for him, and him alone. Her loyalty was to him, and him alone. Perhaps if she were a normal person, her feelings and loyalty would have extended fully to his family, but as it stood, those things only went so far before they stopped dead in their tracks.
"Now, now...Do you really think I am going to take it easy on you Cael? Where would the fun be in that?" A small laugh before she would jump to the next board to her right, and then back again, repeating the process several times and causing the two boards to sway and rock ever so slightly under the constant shift of her weight.
"Come on, I know your Father taught you better than to just stand there. Gods know if it was me I would already have a fist buried in my stomach or be flat on my back looking up at him. So lets go." She was rather excited, but at the same time she was allowing him to move first....Though each time she hopped from one board to the next, she would do so in a manner that inched her closer and closer to his ened and where he currently stood. Another firm jump back to the board which he was standing on and she would throw her weight into it, causing the beams that held it up to rock to one side, slightly lifting off the ground, if only by a fraction of an inch.
Though should he fail to balance them out, well they were both likely to take a dive into the glass below. As for Kev, she wasn't budging an inch.

The inclination to wrile him up, it was a smart move in its own right. But Gabriel had taught him more than just to fight with his fists, mental warfare was the strongest of these sorts, Seran's prided themselves on encouraging a stimulating battle of the consciousness framed one against another as it were.
Cael was patient enough to watch her motioning towards him, he had an idea what she was up to, far smarter of a tactic than most fighters would contend with in fact if she wasn't obvious about it Cael would definitely be at odds with the attempts. Instead of approaching her Cael would slowly inch backwards slow balanced steps keeping sure not to slip before he was at the edge of it.
As Kevala jumped that final jump Cael would lurch back with his upper body to gain momentum and grab at the ropes holding the board above the ground. Bringing back his momentum down he'd shove a foot into the board to split it, and thus hopefully with his strength enough to break it in half. This reaction of course would force Kevala to fall and Cael to dangle on the rope inches from harm. The board seems just long enough for her not to be able to retreat and since it was a corner board no room to continue her momentum to a further board only attempt to pivot backwards which would be EXTREMELY difficult.
Using the momentum shift from the splitting board Cael would pivot his hips and the splitting board to spin the rope around 360 degrees before releasing, tossing the boy off to the next board to the left where he'd have to sprawl out on all fours to grip it in a hugging fashion.
"Hiss"
It was painful with his chest making contact but he'd managed to get a hold of it just barely. Kevala was stronger than him, a fair share as intelligent, so the cheap move was warrented as a tactical strike.

He wanted to play that way did he? Well she had to admit, the cheap tactic was going to work as she fell through the board that was now split and landed feet first into the glass, her momentum carrying through and causing her to fall down onto her knees. A small groan escaping her as the class cut into her legs, the scent of her blood filling the air around her and the pain resonating through her body enough to send a shiver down her spine.
Fuck she loved that feeling. A little grin on her lips as she heard him crash into the board behind where she currently knelt, that hiss not missed out on either, as she remained stationary for a moment. "Next time you throw your opponent into a bed of glass, you might want to make sure that it actually bothers them first." A small chuckle before her hands would press down into the glass, feeling as it cut through the wraps and into her palms...though honestly, the damage to her feet and hands was not that bad. Hence why she had taken the time to wrap them before starting this little battle.
With her hands pressed into the floor she would spin her body around and send her foot up and into the bottom of the board that he currently clung to, making sure not to center her blow but instead aim for the edge closest to her, causing the thing to go off balance hopefully, and with his current method of holding on, send it toppling over onto its side and him into the glass below.
She would then press herself to regain her footing, mind filtering out the pain as she moved toward the the next board that was still standing....They were down to three...though if they kept this up, they were both likely to end up simply fighting in a bed of glass....Not that she minded....the blood smelled so good and it had been far too long since she had been able to play like this. Win or lose, she was having fun.

Admittedly he was a little surprised to see Kevala unphased by the attack although he was sure that it'd caused damage. As small as the shards may be extended exposure had a bit of a reaction to tearing ligaments and shred skin and a little thing known as infection. Nasty little fucker that last one was.
Cael had a grip on this one's rope too so as Kevala made the move for it the boy instinctively gripped for it knowing her movements alone would cause more damage than a punch from him daring as it might be. His one goal was to stay intact for the final round make just assured that he wasn't playing this one too close to the chest.
As she kicked in the boy would grapple hold of the rope and feel it flip, clinging to ther edge where the rope remained and still managed his grip around it despite dangling inches from the ground he'd pull himself upright and back atop it noting that Kev had moved to take her own position.
Cael moved to stand in the middle of the board this time taking it to the aggressive state charging headlong to her board the instant she shifted to the same one hitting it square at its edge to counter the force. His hips would pivot to the right and force it to swing adjacently perhaps throwing her off balance while his right hand lurched back to the rope to help gather himself.

You know, this was actually kind of sad. Or so she thought, a little glance at him as he once again struggled to hold onto the ropes to prevent himself from falling. "Now, now...you are not having any fun."
She would then cast a glance toward Carmine and wave her hand watching as he got a rather disappointed look upon his face and shook his head. For a moment, she almost thought he wasn't going to do was she had instructed him to do earlier on, but as it stood, he would reach out and push the button which in turn severed the ropes from the ceiling and caused the supports under the boards to break away, all the remaining boards and the ropes crashing to the ground.
She of course had been prepared for this, so she managed to maintain her balance on the board which she currently stood on. Her nephew however, who had become very dependent upon those ropes to save his pretty boy ass was now left to readjust to the new and changing environment. She perhaps was cheating, but then he of all people should have known better than to assume that Kevala didn't have some kind of trick up her sleeve. "Now maybe you will stop playing the part of the monkey and actually fight me like you are supposed to. Hmm?"
Reaching down and pulling free a few shards of glass that were embedded into her knees and shins, as well as the ones that remained within the wraps around her hands. She wasn't attacking because she wanted him to get off his ass and do so. Gods how she missed sparring with his Father, it had always been so much more fun.

Fun? So fighting for her was a game, what had Kevala been up to in the years she had been missing from his father's service. There was no matter of fun in Gabriel's teachings at least as far as Cael had experienced. It was all about tact, poise, and control of every outcome. Fighting was nothing to him but a means of being stronger than any real foe. As the floorboards fell out from beneath him Cael was surprised catching his fell letting his left arm hit the glass embeded floor.
"Fuck!"
Rolling back he'd sit upright on the board pulling the glass shards free from his forearm. This was more annoying than anything. He knew he was outmatched as far as strengths and with the battle array poised as such he couldn't resort to grappling without some serious risk to his own body. The one advantage he might have against Kevala thrown away. Resorting to the monkey tactics was rather just a way to buy time to think.
"Fighting without a clear intent or means of victory is suicidal, I would think my father taught you that."
Cael taunted slowly rising to stand up craddling his bloodied arm a tad. If he couldn't win outright he'd be mean.

She would arch her brow slightly at his words, a small chuckle escaping her as she shook her head. "Now, if you are going to try and use your Father against me, then you should know that he understands my way of thinking far better than anyone else." A slight tsking sound escaping her lips as she would sigh and bounce back and forth on the board that she currently stood upon.
"I never fight without a clear desire or means of victory. I do not go about picking fights I cannot win unless I know there is something to gain from it....well, aside from fighting your Father..." Her mind wandering a bit, though she would wave her hand dismissively and allow a little sigh to pass her lips. "The point is, that no matter what, when I sparred with your Father, we had fun......or at least I did...and I even got a few chuckles and grins from him from time to time, so I believe he had fun to. Aside from the few times I beat him, it was never a matter of winning, but a matter of bettering myself, of getting stronger."
Her right foot sliding back behind her as she let out a little chuckle and would reach up, blood dripping from her arms and down her legs, though she paid it no mind at all. "If you let yourself get too serious, or too over confident, you risk losing even more so than if you just.....loosen up..." Yes, that was her opinion on the matter. She fought to win every time she fought...but she knew that sometimes she didn't stand a chance, so .....she figured, she might as well have fun while she was getting her ass kicked.
Pushing off her right foot, she would shoot forward at full speed, dropping down as her left leg swept out in a move to try and knock him on his ass, counting on her speed to allow her the momentum to do so and to be able to catch him before he could squirm away.

The timer would go off and signal the end of the match. Kevala righting herself as she gave a little bow of her head toward Cael. "See you next round. Oh, there will be two other competitors, though it is every man for himself. So rest up." She would then turn and step off the board into the glass, not flinching as she made her way toward the clearing that led to the weight room, a nod of her head toward the door. "Unlock it for him Carmine and send out the boy to clear a path."
She knew that Cael was pretty banged up compared to the other two and she knew that the other two were stronger...so yes, she was going to help him out a bit. Though it really wasn't so much a matter of strength for the final round, not so much as having fun. "Oh and Cael darling....I suggest you take the next hour to learn and loosen up a bit. Next round is going to call for it."
With that she would make her exit...Carmine unlocking the main door and a boy rushing out to sweep a path for Cael to walk through....Carmine would then turn to give the boy instructions, hushed as to not be over heard and then head off in the direction that Kevala had gone. He wanted to make sure she was alright and he wanted to make sure everything for the next round was ready.
_______________________________________________________
OOC: Auto pass to the next round. Though I will make adjustments due to the fact that there will be two opponents. However it is likely to be different than what you would expect, so be ready.

Thread will be open til tomorrow for reaction....then locked. Remember that injuries carry over to the next round.
