(OOC: Kazue/Silk) Hikari Industries is an organization founded in Tokyo, Japan, by Kazunari Hikari, Kazuya's great-grandfather and currently run by Kane Hikari, Kazuya's father. It is mainly involved in weaponry, bio-technology, and military applications. Kazuya's office, located on the very top floor of the building, is a large room consisting of windows with motorized blinds giving him a excellent view of the city below, a wooden desk with a rolling executive's chair located behind it, for himself, and two simple rolling chairs for any visitors. On top of the desk is a single flat screen monitor and a keyboard connected to the computer tower located beneath, and a built-in intercom and console that controls everything in the office. Beside the side windows are two comfortable black leather couches and a simple glass coffee table. The bookcase located across from the side windows consists of nothing but binders containing business records and business books, and two framed pictures, one of Kazuya and Ryu when he was nine, and the other of Kazuya and Mai when she was eight. Though the bookcase looks ordinary enough, in actuality, the middle reflective panels contain individual monitors that can be flipped, spanning the entire length of the bookcase, and are connected to every camera located inside the building. Nothing is or can be hidden from Kazuya. - One Month Ago -Kazuya was sitting at his desk in his office in the Hikari Industries building located in Tokyo, Japan. He was going over a bit of paper work, seeing as he was the Chief Financial Officer of the company. Though the double solid wooden doors that led into his office were closed, even Kazuya could hear the sounds of loud stomping steadily coming closer and closer. "Ma'am? Ma'am! I'm sorry, you can't go in th--!"The voice of his secretary, Asuka Yamamoto, drifting into his office, albeit muffled by the doors and cut off by something or someone, what happened next was not surprising to him, but who it was that came in certainly was. "...!?"

"Oh get off my case princess!!"
Shouted the drunk spanish woman as she passed the secretary. Following her was 15 year old Kazue. She smiled politely at the secretary, almost as if trying to make up for her mother's rude behavior.
"Mom, maybe we should make an appointment..."
Being that this was Kazue's first time meeting her father she wanted to make a good impression. Silk just simply didn't care.
"Bullshit!"
And just like that, Silk's foot collided with the door to Kazuya's office. Her long silver hair danced behind her almost like fire. Her green eyes were glazed over because she had been drinking. She had to, it was the only way to get her self to do this.
"How fertile are you, ya bastard!?"
She yelled at him before tripping over her own drunk feet and face planting the floor. Little Kazue ran in after her and knelt beside her.
"Ah! Mom!"
It took Kazue a moment but she would eventually look up to see a man sitting at his desk. Quickly she stood up, dusted off her hands and jeans and waved at him. The same smirk he had seen him self give on her lips.
"Hi dad!"
Bandit and Aiko leapt from the girl's shoulders and ran about the room excitedly. This was a wonderful family reunion. From the floor, Silk would complain.
"Fertile bastard..."

The double doors of his office promptly kicked open, Kazuya would look up from his paperwork as Silk and... mini-Silk!? came in, well, more like Silk tripped into his office, her daughter it seemed, chasing after her. Continuing to stay seated, Kazuya would merely interlace his hands together and rest them on top of the desk, after getting over his initial surprise. "... Good to see you too Silk."He remarked dryly, looking over at the girl as a frown appeared on his face. That smirk, that was... and did she just call him... "... You are my...?"Was she...? A sleepy meow issuing from underneath Kazuya's desk, a furry head would pop out from underneath and behind the desk, as Kuro sleepily surveyed the room after being woken up, and caught sight of Bandit and Aiko running around, meowing happily and bounded out to join them. Sighing to himself, Kazuya would get up from behind his desk, and moving over to Silk, would pick her up in his arms and deposit her in one of the chairs in front of his desk, folding his arms casually across his chest while continuing to frown at her. "... And now you decide to tell me I have a daughter?"

"Bravo old man... you aren't as dumb as you look."
Came a rather chipper response from Kazue. She blinked as he frowned. For a moment, the thought of "Oh... he doesn't want me..." entered her mind. It was pushed aside though when he got up and walked over to pick up her drunk mother.
"Oh god... I'm flying..."
Came Silk's rather startled words. Kazue rolled her eyes and smiled. This wasn't the first time the young girl had seen her mother drunk, but it had been a really really long time since it last happened. After having Kazue, Silk didn't quit drinking, she just quit being drunk. Kazue could count on one hand the amount of times she had witnessed her mother drunk, but this was the worst one so far. Silk had been drunk on the flight to Japan and drunk since the landed. It was hard for her to come to Kazuya after all these years. To have him staring down at her, that frown...it annoyed the silver haired spanish woman.
"Oi! Don't....Don't you give me that look! I sent you pictures of her!"
Came Silk's drunken reply. Kazue looked at her mother. Is that why she was always taking pictures? Almost everything Kazue had done since she was a baby was documented with her mother's camera. Silk squirmed in the chair she had been set in and Kazue turned her attention for a moment to the pets running around excitedly. Bandit and Aiko were clearly happy to see Kuro and Kazuya. Even if both animals were no longer young and spry as they used to be. Kazue's attention returned to her parents and the 15 year old would shake her head.
"I don't even know where to start with the lecture mom, but maybe dad never got the pictures..." "Like hell he didn't Kazue. I sent them every year for Christmas. A big box of them and no return address.
Kazue lifted up her hand rather methodically and slapped her self in the forehead. Her mother meant well and she knew that, but sometimes... the woman's thought process was a mystery. Silk turned her gaze up to Kazuya and frowned back at him.
"I said stop lookin' at me like that! You don't know why I did what I did...did... did!"
She slurred. She pushed her self up into a sitting position and continued to frown back at him.
"So don't you act like I just punched you in the face! Cause if you want me to, I sure as hell will punch you in your face!"
Kazue just stared at the man who was supposed to be her father. She was studying his face and now understood why she looked so much different from her mother. His eyes... were just like hers. She hadn't even bothered to put in contacts today so those grey eyes stared up at him in amazement. His hair was as black as hers. Sure her mother's hair was dark, but not black. She watched every movement he made and every muscle twitch as her mother continued to ramble drunkenly about how she had to leave. When Kazue tuned back in, her mother was still ranting.
"If I stayed... and she didn't.... didn't happen... you would'uh left any how, and... I didn't know.... if she was goin' to happen. I just knew she was there..."
Kazue had never actually been told why her mother had left Kazuya and this... was actually something she was interested in hearing from the drunk spanish woman.
"9 months Kazuya... and I had wanted to tell ya, but... by then I felt... it was too late then!"
Silk sat up abruptly and kicked his desk in anger. Kazue was just interested in what had her mom so upset about if Kazue wasn't there. The girl was bright but this was quite a traumatic situation. Her mother drunk, meeting her father for the first time... it was quite a lot to ask a 15 year old girl to handle. Yet she had asked for this... well not her mother being drunk, but she had asked to meet her father. It took the girl a moment or so, but "if she wasn't there" suddenly made sense. Her mother was scared of a miscarriage.
"I... couldn't handle another not being there... and losing you..."
Silk's voice trailed off, but the words remained in her daughter's head. Another? Her mother had been pregnant before and lost a child? Kazue felt a twinge of sympathy for her mother, even if she was a raving drunk right now. Kazue's eyes turned to Kazuya. She wondered if he knew what Silk even spoke of. Silk had told him. They had been together a little while before Kazue came along and Silk honestly had strong feelings for Kazuya. She still did, which is why she was so drunk.

"... Such a lovely, sweet daughter I have..."
Kazuya answered back with just as much, if not more, sarcasm than his daughter, going over to Silk and carrying her over to and setting her down in the chair in front of his desk, paying no mind to her startled state, as he leaned up against his desk and stayed beside her, gesturing to his daughter to have a seat in the other chair if she wished, frowning at Silk.
"... So it was you that sent me those pictures... I had wondered why someone would send me pictures of a girl on the exact same day every year..."
Continuing to frown down at Silk, though not as much as before, after staring at her for a good long while, he'd eventually reach over and buzz his secretary on the intercom while Kuro played happily with Bandit and Aiko, despite not being as spry as before, when he was a kitten. He missed his big brother and sister, it had been practically forever since he saw them!
"... Yes, I noticed, how very thoughtful of you."
Moving back behind his desk and taking a seat, he would open the bottom drawer of his desk, and deposited photo album upon photo album filled with photos of Kazue inside, totaling five in all. That's a lot of photos, considering how many one album could hold.
"Asuka, please bring in a pot of coffee and a pitcher of water... a large amount of coffee and water. Thank you..."
Flicking the intercom off, he'd rest his elbows on top of his desk and calmly interlace his fingers once more while continuing to frown slightly at Silk, letting her rave and rant and just basically listen to what she had to say, if a little slurred. Only after she was completely finished, having kicked his desk during the midst of her tirade just as Asuka quietly slipped into his office and placed the tray with a pot of coffee and a pitcher of water, complete with three mugs and glasses, glancing briefly at Silk and Kazue before slipping out unnoticed, would he finally speak.
"... Silk, did it ever occur to you to tell me why, instead of just fleeing the country like you were a fugitive? You don't know that I would've left you, I am not like him. It would never have been too late to tell me, no matter what the outcome could've been, you would never lose me, I would have gladly stayed with you Silk... and I still do..."
His hands hiding the bottom half of his face from view, leaving only his eyes visible, he knew exactly what Silk had been talking about. It was completely understandable why she left him and Japan without any warning or notice, she had three miscarriages in the past, a fourth one could have very well tip the iceberg that was her mentality on the matter. Truly, he was thankful such a tragedy had not occurred. He cared greatly for and deeply loved Silk, and still did, despite being apart for fifteen years.
"Thank you for telling me though Silk... Come, let us have some coffee and sober you up, as much as I love you, I do not love the risk of having my office trashed..."
Gesturing over to the leather sofas nearby, he would get up from his chair and move over to Silk, helping her over if she allowed him to, and would pour a mug of coffee for her, holding it out for her to take.
"... It would seem you know Kazue is not my only child... do you not, Silk?"

Oh the sarcasm. Kazue had never been so happy to hear it. Her mother used to tell her that she was so sarcastic because of her father. A smirk crossed her lips and she wanted to jump up and down, to rush over and hug him, but she was scared, as well as worried about what her mother might do or feel. Kazue stared at her mother. Silk had a few wrinkles appearing, though she really didn't look as old as she was. At 42, Silk was 10 years older than Kazuya. Such an age difference... it usually plays its role in a break-up, but for them... that wasn't the case. Silk was still dying her hair silver, still wearing her contacts and still dressing the same. A long black flowing skirt, gypsy looking sandals and a red tank top. She still had the bullet scars in her right arm and left leg.
The only difference now was Silk was not her usually happy go lucky, fight everything drunk. She was a depressive drunk. Kazue didn't like seeing her mother in the depressive state and it seems.... neither did Kazuya for he called his secretary for some coffee and water. The woman would slip in and slip out trying to be unnoticed. Kazue knew her mother paid no mind to the woman, but.. Kazue saw her look at Silk and at her self. No doubt the woman wondered what this was about, not that she couldn't hear Silk ranting. Kazue was certain most of Japan could hear her mother. When Kazuya spoke, Silk seemed to try and focus on his words, but Kazue knew it was tough for her mother because of the haze her head was in.
Kazue on the other hand, got the full effect of her father's words and when he pulled out the photo albums, she jumped up to look at them. Five books... pictures of just her and he kept them. She almost wanted to cry, but like her mother, hated to show that type of emotion in front of people. Shaking her head to clear it, Kazue's dark wavy hair bounced around her head. Every now and again she would stare at Kazuya. This was him... her father. She finally met the man who she had wanted to meet all her life. For some reason... she thought he would be taller. Then again, most children get to see their father as a giant while growing up. Her father looked strong, and Kazue could understand why her mother liked him so. Despite Kazuya being a sarcastic stone wall, he was safety to her mother. A huge rock in the middle of a never ending sea. It was amazing to Kazue, that anyone could mean so much to her mother besides herself.
Kazue would help her father, though he didn't need it, move her mother to the couch. Silk would take the offered cup of coffee and took a sip to try and penetrate that drunken haze in her mind. Kazue, would bring the books over with her and kneel down at the little coffee table to stare at them. Kazuya's words about Kazue not being his only child finally drew her attention away from the books. She looked over at her mother and then at her father. Confusion splashed all over the young girl's face. Showing emotion on her face, that was a trait she got from her mother.
"Fertile bastard..."
Silk grumbled before taking another sip of coffee. She could feel Kazue's eyes on her and sighed setting the cup of coffee down.
"Apparently Kazue... you have two siblings as well. I just... I didn't look much more into it. Figured... having two kids would be enough for... you to handle Kazuya... didn't think you wanted an extra one."
Kazue stared at her mother.
"How long have you known?" "Kazue... I..." "No! Mom... you kept dad a secret and now I could have a sibling or two somewhere else and you kept them a secret too!?"
Silk sighed and sipped at her coffee some more. It was strong enough that it was cutting through the fog inside her mind, but she was still a bit out of it.
"I have never used the excuse of you being a kid Kazue... but in this instance... You are a child. You don't understand what it is like being a parent." "No mom! I don't understand what it is like to have a dad! I don't understand what it is like being a sister! You kept that from me! When did you know!?"
Kazue had a temper like her mother's when it got going. Silk couldn't look at Kazue now. She felt quite guilty. She kept Kazue and Kazuya apart, kept Kazue from other family she could have a relationship with. This mothering thing was a lot harder than Silk could have ever imagined.
"I learned about them months ago... when I was setting up this trip for your birthday. I got tired of your wish every year being to see your father. when I started to plan the trip, I checked on Kazuya to make sure... we wouldn't be totally screwing up his life." "So you think I would have screwed up dad's life!?" "No... I think I would have."
Kazue finally quieted and just stared at her mother. Silk sipped her coffee and said nothing more. The guilt that bore down on her was enough to push her down every floor of this building. Despite everything though... this was going better than Silk expected.

Well... It would seem Kazue had no idea she had two other siblings. Letting mother and daughter duke it out, Kazuya would pour himself a glass of water and settle down in the couch across from Silk, only when the dust had settled, literally, would Kazuya finally pip up, he was certainly doing a lot of listening so far.
"I wasn't given the responsibility of taking care of my two kids when they were babies Silk, they were already at a sufficient enough age to look after themselves, more so that their mother, Emily, was a nurse. Looking after one more child would not have killed me, you should know me better than this, though... you kept tabs on me?"
Frowning slightly at Silk, more so in mild surprise than anything else, he would sigh to himself soon after and simply reach out with his left hand, taking her free hand into his own and held it comfortingly.
"You should know by now that nothing fazes me, especially anything you do. Nothing you do would ever screwed up my life."
Continuing to hold onto her hand comfortingly, Kazuya would turn his attention to Kazue, regarding her with a serious look.
"Kazue, you have a "half-brother" that is the same age as you, but slightly younger... by three days, and a younger half-sister. You can meet them if you wish... or you could've, but they are not here in Japan currently, they are overseas."
Reaching out to Kazue with his right hand, Kazuya would take her hand into his own, for fifteen years, he had never touched held his daughter, much less knew he even had a second daughter in the first place.
"It is your choice on what you want to do, Kazue, but if you wish to see them, the two of them are in New York City, my "son" is currently attending the high school a very close friend of mine opened... Public High School #8011..."

With Silk around, people always did more listening than talking. The spanish woman had a mouth, though that wasn't a secret. Kazue, though she took after her father in some ways, she also has a mouth like her mother. Kazuya spoke and Silk sighed when he took her hand. She knew he was right, but in panic, you don't think clearly. Anyone who knew Silk really well, knew even if she was calm as hell, on the inside she was breaking apart.
"You are right Kazuya... I should I have told you. I know my excuses are just that, excuses and if I could take it back and fix it, I would. Now you know though. Now she's here."
Silk looked over at Kazue as her father began to tell her about the other siblings. The young girl almost flinched at the first contact between herself and her father but relaxed. Her hand settled into his. Small, like her mother's. Soft and gentle. Though Silk had been a fighter and taught Kazue to fight... their hands were still soft and smooth as silk. Hearing where they were located Kazue would look at her mother who was sipping at her coffee and had calmed down considerably since this all started.
"Hai hai... I'll enroll you. You should spend time with your father first though. School can wait. This is important."
Kazue smiled brightly. She hopped up and moved quickly over to her father. Her arms flew around him and she hugged him tightly. It might even surprise her father the strength that she mustard to hug him with. Though that would be Silk's doing wouldn't it.
"I brought you all her report cards, pictures she made for you when she was young and I should probably let you know... she is pretty fluent in Spanish and Japanese, so no secret talks in front of her."
Silk looked at Kazuya and smiled slightly before leaning back in the chair.
"I am sorry Kazuya. I was just... scared."
Kazue clung to Kazuya, like if she let him go he'd vanish into thin air. Bandit and Aiko had finally settled and sat making happy content sounds in Kazuya's big office chair. It seemed, Silk's pets felt at home everywhere.

"... And I am grateful that you told me, even after so long, which also means you know that I believe that the past is the past, and the future is the future. I lost you once, I do not want to lose you again."
Kazue's small hand settling into his own medium, rough hand, shaped by the years and number of fights he had been in, as well his hard work, he would have to tell Ryu and Mai soon after that they had a older half-sister, though as it had been a surprise to him as well, they'd probably take it better than Kazue had.
"I will have to tell your "half little brother" and half little sister about you, Kazue, but I'm sure they'll be intrigued to meet you just as much as you probably are."
Both his arms wrapping tightly around Kazue, he was slightly taken aback by the amount of strength she mustered to hug him so tightly, but not overwhelmingly shocking, given who her mother was. Giving Silk his infamous slight smile, Kazue clinging to him like she was afraid he was going to disappear, while Bandit and Aiko made happy noises in his office chair, Kuro having curled up underneath Kazuya's desk, he'd lift her up, which not surprisingly, required little effort on his part and deposit her on his lap.
"Why am I not surprised that you would be multilingual? Your two half-siblings are as well, they are pretty fluent in Japanese and Tagalog, and English, obviously. Let's have a look, shall we?"
Reaching out, Kazuya would carefully scan and flip through Kazue's various report cards, as well as the pictures she had made for him, he would treasure all of them just as much as he would treasure the time he would spend with them. Smiling slightly at Kazue, her grades were impressive, much like Ryu and Mai's grades, which was not surprising for Mai, but for Ryu, it was, as he was adopted after all.
"Come, let us all go and get something to eat. You two go on ahead, I have to take care of something first, alright?"

Silk looked over at Kazuya. Considering she had dropped a pretty large bomb on him and came into his office drunk after 15 years of no contact, he handled it better than anyone else would have. He handled the situation better than she did. It seemed, Kazue would finally get the united family she wanted, with a two bonuses. Half siblings. The young girl was over joyed now that the initial anger at her mother had worn off. She knew that Silk had kept these secrets to protect her and while she didn't fully understand all her mother's reasons... she accepted how this had to play out.
"Mom insisted that I learn both Spanish and Japanese. She said it was who I am and that I needed to know my self."
Kazue said. Silk gave Kazue the report cards and pictures to show her father. She sat and watched as they went through them together.
"I made this one in art class when I was about 5... it is supposed to be Koi in a pond, but Aiko licked it when I brought it home and smudged my koi. Oh, and that was an owl made out of painted macaroni. This is my report card from 3rd grade. Highest marks in my class since then."
Kazue would never admit it, but she pushed her self to do well in her classes so that when she met her father, he could be proud of her. Silk just finished off her coffee in silence. A soft smile crossing her lips. Now that Kazue felt whole, the spanish woman felt at ease. Silk would stand and make a noise. Both her pets sat up and ran over to her. Kazue would slip off her father's lap.
"Okay, we will head downstairs and wait."
Kazue picked up the pets and they crawled onto her shoulders like they had been when she walked in. The way the young girl walked, with the animals so precariously perched on her... it was almost like watching a smaller version of Silk. Kazue would leave with her mother, out the kicked in office doors to the elevator so that they could wait for Kazue to go with them to lunch. Leaving the office, Kazue would turn and look back at her dad one more time and smirk, the same smirk he had.

["Well, I can't say I am surprised, though I must say I am rather amused that my children are all multilingual."]
His famous slight smirk tugging at the corners of his mouth, he'd listen intently to Kazue's explanations and look at each report card and picture, not only was he proud of Ryu and Mai, he was now proud of Kazue too. Getting up from the couch after, he'd wait until Silk and Kazue had left, nut not before returning the smirk Kazue gave him with one of his own, before moving over to his desk, and sat down, picking up his headset and dialing his son's phone number, Kuro leaping up into Kazuya's lap and settling down in there, if only briefly.
Truly, just as Mai resembled Emily in miniature, Kazue resembled Silk in miniature. Poor Ryu resembled neither him nor Emily physically, but personality-wise, his adopted son was remarkably like him, somehow, someway. After two rings, his "son" picked up the phone and answered.
"Dad? What's up?"
"Hello Ryu. I've got... something to tell you. Is Mai around too?"
"Yeah, she's in her room. Mai! Dad's on the phone!"
Hearing sounds of footsteps in the background, after both his kids were listening, Kazuya would begin to tell them... everything. Though they were just as shocked as he had been, as he thought, they were not angry at him, as he had not known either, and were intrigued to meet their older half-sister too. As he did not know when Kazue would be going to New York, he told them he'd let them know when he did, and finished the call soon after. Picking Kuro up after, Kazuya would head out of his office, and join them at the elevators, holding onto his daughter's hand all the way out and to his limousine, leaving soon after.
(End)
