[/center]
**NOTE** There are a lot of things that are unknown about Azura, but this does not mean that they are impossible to find out. The more she is RPed, the more facts will become revealed about her. The only way to know it all is to get out there and try and learn.
Recommendation for removal of Experiment 1511 from the labs and placement in field.[/i]

- Ethnicity: CLASSIFIED
- Nationality:CLASSIFIED
- Height: 5' 5"
- Weight: 135 LBS
- Sexuality: BISEXUAL
- Religion: NONE
- Eye Color: HAZEL
- Hair Color: RED
Documented Personality
- Personality:Much to our surprise, Experiment 1511 has begun to show a wide range of personality traits. Unlike the rest of her group, who have only managed to maintain lesser mental functions, Experiment 1511 has shown signs of a much higher level of thinking. In fact, there are many areas in which she exhibits an extreme intelligence, high above those of an average human being.
Over the past several years, there have been a wide variety of personalities recorded from Experiment 1511 ranging from cold and apathetic to warm and extremely loving. Though many attempts have been made to decipher which personality is genuine, all have failed. Even our best psychological team has been unable to determine just what type of personality she has.
This makes Experiment 1511 very difficult to study as far as the effects of our chemical agents go due to the fact that we are no longer able to tell if the drugs are affecting her mental and/or emotional state. It is for this reason that we are recommending that she be placed in the field and removed from the test subject group. We feel that she no longer is capable of serving a purpose here at our labs. We do however feel that she is more than qualified to potentially rise through the ranks to become leader of her own team.
Even though we have failed to pinpoint an exact personality, there are a few key traits that we have determined MUST be central to her being. These include high intelligence, manipulative capabilities, empathy/understanding of other people's emotional states, a strong desire/capability to lead and maintain order, as well as the ability to carry out an assigned task to completion.
Recommendations for Experiment 1511 include suitable living environment, equal treatment with other non experiments, low level restrictions upon her movements and the resources to apply her skill sets to any mission she is assigned to. Also, it should be noted that unlike the other experiments, she does not take well to being referred to as such. In fact she sees herself as a typical human being and has taken up the name Azura. - Mentality: UNKNOWN -- Though we have made many attempts to determine exactly what Experiment 1511's mental state is, we have been unable to do so. To our best estimate, she appears to be stable, with no outward signs of dementia or psychopathic tendencies. From what we can gather, she does not draw any form of intense pleasure from receiving or delivering pain to others. This leads us to believe that she does not exhibit signs of sadism or masochism. One could assume, in theory, that Experiment 1511 is surprisingly stable for being a lifelong test subject of our labs, but without any data to back this theory up, it can remain as just that, a theory.
Documented Physical Data
- Build: Trim, soft musculature form, average size curves, petite by most standards, overall healthy looking.
- Defining Marks: Two identical tattoos on the inside of each of her wrists. These were put in place by Experiment 1511 herself in an attempt to cover the scars that remained after her failed suicide attempt several years ago. This leads us to believe that even though she has such a sporadic personality that she does hold signs of regret, at least for past actions. As for the design of the tattoos, one can only assume that it has to do with the wings that Experiment 1511 identifies herself with.
As with all the others, Experiment 1511 has been tagged in case of accidental death or loss. Her mark, baring her experiment number "1511" is located on the upper portion of her inner right thigh along with the symbol for angel directly above it. It is not plainly visible, hidden in the crease of her hip joint and her leg. Should identification be needed one must look closely to find this.
Upon her back, running down from the top of her shoulder blade to the middle of her back, are two markings that are identical in size, shape and color. From a distance, they appear to be a pair of scars, perhaps from some form of surgery or accident. ** - Description: Against all odds, Experiment 1511 has grown up to be quite the young beauty. Unlike other experiments who have been with us since early childhood, physical deformations have been near non existent with this one. Save for one of course. **
In fact, outwardly, there is nothing to suggest that Experiment 1511 is anything other than an average female. By appearance, her age ranges from mid to late teens all the way through early to mid twenties. [Exact age to remain classified and on a strictly need to know basis.] She is of average height for a female of her age group, standing at a solid five feet, five inches. Her weight is also rather typical of her size, staying steady at one hundred and thirty five pounds.
It is believed that there was something in her genetics which allowed for normal hormonal growth during her early teenage years which explains why, unlike many of our other female subjects, she was able to develop such soft and feminine curves as well as a very delicate and silken like complexion.
Her hair, which is still its natural color from when we obtained her, is red, varying in degrees of brilliance and tone depending on external factors such as lighting, air moisture content, etc. Eyes, though a bright green at birth, have been altered over the years due to several heavy drug transfusions and now remain in hazel in color. Any and all defining marks have been listed in the section prior to this.Experimenter's Special Notations**- Topic: Wing Manifestation
- Experiment's Age: CLASSIFIED
- Expected Duration: Lifetime
- Description: During one of the very first tests performed upon Experiment 1511, we chose to try out a very crude, rough version of what is now Chemical F-325. It is true that we were unclear of the side effects, but up until this point all other subjects had exhibited effects that lasted for a duration of no more than a couple days before dissipating and so there was no reason to believe that the same would not hold true here. We simply needed another test subject to observe the effects on before we could move the drug into the rebuild stage and onto an entirely new group of experiments.
However, upon administering the drug to the child, it quickly became apparent that something in her own genetic make up was reacting to the drug and producing effects that none of us had been properly prepared for. Up until that moment, the drug had only provided glimpses of the children's hidden potential, never quite managing to manifest fully in any of our previous subjects.
Yet when the drug was given to Experiment 1511, a clear transformation took place. The girl's true power seemingly became unlocked in that instant and we were able to get out first glimpse at what the drug was truly capable of. There were however, side effects, the main one being the manifestation of a pair of black, feathered wings protruding from the girl's shoulder blades. Yet not only where they large, angelic like wings, but they also produced qualities unheard of before. The structure of them, though typical of what one would expect from any winged creature, was much more sturdy than that of any bird or winged being. The feather's themselves, though silken and delicate to the touch proved to be made of a Kevlar like substance, making them very effective means of protection against most any weapon or attack.
They were unlike anything we had ever seen before, and after taking careful time to document the occurrence we waited for them to go away as had all other side effects in the other children.
These however, did not. After two months of waiting, it was decided by [Name Removed] to perform a surgery to remove the wings in order to better study them, since initial tests had shown that they were not attached to her structure in any way and were instead just a deformed growth of sorts, serving no real use at all.
What we had failed to notice though, was that during those two months of waiting, the child had begun to gain more functionality in them. Enough so, that when x-rays were taken in preparation for the surgery, it became abundantly clear that the wings had fused themselves with not only the girl's skeletal system, but with her nervous system as well. In short; they had become a functioning part of her body.
The surgery was canceled, and two months later, it was noted that not only had the wings become a part of her body, but that now her body had evolved in order to conceal them from outside elements by creating two cavities in her back in which to house them. The folds on her flesh, which appear to be scars when looked at from a distance, are actually openings which allow her to retract and expand her wings at will. However any attempts to examine these cavities has failed due to the fact that it is neigh impossible to penetrate the slits in her back. It should also be noted, that removal of a wing will result in another growing in its place. [Further details have been removed from this report.]
Documented Fighting Style - Topic: Wing Manifestation
- Style: Freestyle (Most accurate description available)
- Years Practiced: CLASSIFIED
- Description: Due to Experiment 1511's unique traits, this makes her quite the inapt fighter, when a situation calls for it that is. Most of the time it has been noted that Experiment 1511 will not fight unless she is absolutely forced too, instead opting to have other do so for her or by having various other means of avoiding it. We do not believe this to be due to fear but more so a serious lack of interest in physical confrontation. However, when she does fight, it should be noted that she will utilize all her traits in order to win. This includes both both her intellect and power along with her wings and any other abilities that she has manifested over the years.
Background Information
Experiment 1511 was born on [date removed] to a Mr. and Mrs. [names removed]. It was while in the hospital, immediately following her birth that she caught the eye of the doctor there, who was placed in [Name of hospital removed] as a plant in order to gain information and find us viable test subjects.
When he first brought us her file, his suggestion was rejected, but withing four years time, he had managed to work his way up through the ranks and found himself as head of his division. As such, he pulled her file and used what resources he had available to him to track her down where she was living with her parents. At the time, the child's name was [removed] and she appeared to be a happy, healthy little girl with nothing all too remarkable about her. Yet, he refused to see differently, vowing that he indeed saw something "special" in her.
Only later was it revealed, once he had orchestrated her abduction, that what he had seen was a unique enzyme in the girl's blood which he believed to be the key to unlocking the hidden potential to what was then called Chemical 12-21. Up until then, all attempts at using said chemical had failed, and it was his hope that with this enzyme found in her blood, he would be able to better perfect the formula to work on other random subjects, having failed to duplicate his work after the escape of his intitial patient, Experiment Zero.
With her in his grasp, and with his mind constantly working toward that one ultimate goal, he administered the chemical without first running any lab tests to determine if her blood would take to the drug or not. As a result, the side effects were.....extreme....to say the least. Within moments of being administered the drug, the girls body began to convulse. Medical teams rushed in to strap her down to the table as the doctor sat back, recording the experiment and cursing under his breath at how badly her body seemed to be reacting to the drug.
It was then, while strapped to this table, that the distinct sound of flesh ripping could be heard emanating from the direction of the small girl. (Who, by the way, had not been given a sedative prior to this and was forced to endure every bit of the pain that was caused to her.) Then, as screams erupted throughout the lab, blood began to pool beneath the small child's pale and convulsing body. Medical staff rushed in to help, but the doctor told them to leave her be, demanding that everyone stand back from the table and simply watch as the child lay there suffering, and by all accords, dying.
This carried on for no more than a few minutes, but by accounts of anyone in the room that day, it felt like hours. One of the nurses having to excuse herself because she had started to cry with sympathy for the little girl. Then, almost as suddenly as it had begun, it ended. The girl collapsing onto the steel table, blood dripping onto the floor around her, her flesh pale and her lips blue. By all rights, she was dead. Not a single breath to be heard from her. The only sound in the room being the ticking of the clock on the wall as the seconds wasted away.
Again, one of the staff tried to rush in and help her, but again they were told to stay back as the mad doctor looked on with a hunger in his eyes that could only be described as pure madness. Then out of nowhere, there was a desperate gasp for breath. The girl's small body arching off from the table as she struggled to fill her lungs with air, and from behind her, a pair of white, blood soaked wings began to unfold.
Only then was the staff allowed to finally aid the girl. Rushing in, they cleaned her up, and tried their best to tend to her wounds. Though there was no much that they could do given the fact that the wings were protruding through her flesh. In the end, they simply had to settle for making her comfortable as they tried to slow the bleeding. However, on that day, no other powers manifested themselves and despite the miraculous appearance of wings where there had been none before, the doctor deemed the test a failure.
Two months later, her ordered the wings be surgically removed from the child. But by the time they had prepared to do this, it was made obvious that the wings had fused themselves with the girl's skeletal and nervous systems. They had become a part of her, and removing them would have proven to be both extremely painful and potentially deadly. So, it was decided that the wings would stay.
Fifteen Years Later[/u]
She had just wanted to go out. So tired of being locked away like some kind of freak. That was all she had wanted, a night out, a chance to see the city and to breath the fresh air. A chance to pretend, just for a moment, that she was normal. But the doctor had not seen it that way and instead had accused her of trying to escape.
The whole idea had struck her as funny, especially given the fact that she had nowhere to escape to. This was her home, where she believed herself to have been born and raised. Sure, she hated the tests that he was always running on her, but no matter how bad those went, she knew she would always pull through. No, she would never have dreamed of running away. Yet, there was no convincing him of that. By this time he was mad with power and his desire to fulfill his dream. A dream of creating a race of super soldiers, a superior race of people that would usher this world into a new era of existence. And it was through this madness that the harshest punishment possible would be handed down upon Azura. (A name she had given herself due to the fact that when she asked, nobody could tell her what her name was.)
Grabbing her by the hair, he had injected her with a specially made toxin that he used to subdue her, seeing as how her body tended to burn off other drugs rather quickly. Now, with her weak, he drug her from her room, and into one of the operating rooms. A couple of the nurses tried to get in, ones who had pretty much raised Azura since childhood, but the doctor had locked the doors and disabled the security codes. He was determined to make her pay for trying to leave him, for trying to ruin his research and so, despite her protests (however muffled and slurred they might have been) he threw her onto the exam table and strapped her down so that she could not move.
The next fifteen minutes were the worst fifteen minutes of her life. The sound of that bone saw turning on, the unbearable pain of the blade as it cut into the base of her left wing. She screamed until she had nothing left to give, until she was certain that her throat was bloody and raw. She screamed until there was nothing left but to lay there and wish for death. Still, he was not done. Moving from one side of the table to the other, he would repeat the crude, violent procedure upon the opposite wing. Not stopping until it too hit the floor beside the table.
Only then did the saw turn off, only then did she hear the screams of the women on the other side of the door, the sound of liquid dripping onto the floor. Something she would later realize to be her blood as it poured from her back. Her eyes closing, she felt that all too familiar grasp of death as it began to pull her under. Never had it been more welcome than it was in this very moment. Though just before she went under, just before she found solace in her death, would his voice whisper harshly against her ear.
"You will not ruin my work and you will not leave me ever again."[/i]
The last thing she remembered being the sound of the door opening as he left, the two women rushing in with one of the other doctors. The sounds of their cries and their sickened voices filling her mind......and then....she was free.
Awakening
As always, death had not lasted long. It never did, no matter how traumatic the act had been. Gasping for breath, she was blinded by the light of her room as it shone down upon her. Her throat feeling dry and raw from the screams she had issued prior to her death. However, this did not stop her from crying as the realization of what had happened began to sink in. Her wings had been a part of her for her entire life, or at least, as far back as she could remember, and now they were gone.
Never had she thought that anything she did could warrant such a harsh and inhumane punishment. Not after so many years of doing as she was told, dying in that lab over and over again for the sake of testing some new chemical he had come up with. Never had she thought that she meant so little to him. Yet here she was, broken and destroyed. A shell of her former self.
For weeks she stayed in her room, not moving from her bed, refusing to eat, to drink, hoping against all hope that if she died this time, it would be for good. For too long had she become dependent upon her wings to make her who she was. No longer did she feel like Azura, no longer did she feel like "Angel" as some of the other experiments called her. Sure, she had her other abilities still, ones that had manifested over the course of her lifetime, but they meant nothing without her wings.
But then, one day as she sat in her room staring out the window, everything about her world would shift. One of the nurses came running in, fear and panic in her eyes as she looked over Azura and struggled to get the words out. The doctor was dead, killed in his private lab in New York while attempting to get some girl. Happiness the likes of which she had never known filled her heart upon hearing this, and yet it was short lived as the woman hurried to tell her that they were moving. The remaining doctors feared being found out and they needed to get going as soon as possible.
It was then, as Azura rushed to get dressed that she finally caught a glimpse of herself in the mirror...Though at first she paid no mind. She had to hurry, they had to leave before they were found out, knowing full and well what the government would do with them, especially her, if they found them. But on her second pass by the mirror, she finally stopped. Turning her back toward it, she pulled her shirt aside, and a soft gasp would rush past her lips. Her bag, which had been in her hand falling to the floor. For there, in the mirror, she saw them....The small, delicate growths that would be her new wings. Though she did not have time to enjoy the moment, as moments later they were rushed out of the facility and away from the only home that she had ever known......Forever.
Four Months Later[/u]
New York City. She had never thought, in her wildest dreams that she would be here, or that she would be wandering about freely without having had to escape or anything like that. No, she had always imagined she would stay trapped in that lab forever, nothing more than a test rat for them to try their new drugs on. But apparently she had been wrong.
The bosses, or whatever you liked to call them...had come to her, asked her to handle a job for them...She had not been able to refuse, of course, but she had also made certain that Raven could come along with her.....
Raven....a boy that she saw almost like a little brother of sorts even though he was much larger than herself. The Doctor's experiments had fried his brain for the most part, turning him into nothing more than a rage fueled monster. Or at least that is how he behaved around everyone else. With Azura it was different, but then, she was the only one who had been there since he was first brought in as a child and had seen him through all the countless experiments. She had been his friend in a place where friends were few and far between.
Their higher purpose? To tie up a few lose ends here in New York and to make sure that the doctor didn't leave any sort of trace that could lead back to them. Easy enough she supposed. Though there was one small problem standing in her way. PHS #8011. The doctors little rat maze, if you will. As far as Azura is concerned, it has to go. Nothing can lead back to her or to the others. She can't risk being locked away again in some other facility and having to endure tests time and time again.
She wont go back to that kind of life. No matter what it takes, she will make sure that they are free when it is all said and done.
