Statistics.....
While you're here at PHS: # 8011 you'll need to familiarize yourself with the six statistics we use here on the board. These statistics are: Strength, Constitution, Dexterity, Wisdom, Intelligence, and Charisma.
Each of these stats does a different thing for your character, both in and out of combat. You can see descriptions below:
STRENGTH: The person who focuses on strength is a power house. Their strikes hit harder, they can throw harder, and they can carry more than others. These translate into combat with just how much damage each punch and kick you land on your opponent is. With 20 strength you're going to deal more damage than 10 strength.
CONSTITUTION: A toughened hide. The amount of constitution you have determines just how much punishment you can take before your body gives up on you. The more constitution you have the longer you can stay in the fight, and the less likely you are to be knocked out cold.
DEXTERITY: Agility. Dexterity is the stat that determines how fast your character moves, how fast you can force those knee jerk reactions in your muscles to strike and opponent, and how fast you can run.
INTELLIGENCE: The more intelligent someone becomes the easier it is to create complex and devious plans. The higher your Intelligence becomes, the harder it will be for your enemies to see through your attacks, it also helps with your studies.
There are, however, other benefits. Intelligence is the key determining how many items you can wear at a time by strategically combining them.
WISDOM: The determining factor in seeing through your opponents attacks, Wisdom helps you decipher their movements quickly. It also allows you to understand when you are being swindled by someone... up to a certain point.
CHARISMA: A silver tongue often gets you ahead in life, and Charisma is no different here. The more Charisma a character has the easier it is to deal with other people and persuade them to their cause.
It also has other benefits, as for every ten points of Charisma you gain a percentage bonus to your Monthly Event cash rewards(up to 50%).
You gain stats from the following:
1) Main Quests
2) Monthly Quests
3) Mini Quests
4) Classes
5) Monthly Events
6) Fighting: You gain 1 Stat Point per finished fight. ( See General Rules –Fighting for details on thread inactivity and all other fight questions. )
Starting Stats and Stat Caps......
When you start out on PHS: # 8011 you receive 60 stat points to distribute among the 6 stats. There are only two requirements, that you do not exceed your current cap and that you have at least 1 point in each stat.
Example:
Strength: 1
Constitution: 1
Dexterity: 11
Wisdom: 20
Intelligence: 20
Charisma: 7
For every rank on the forum (except for Titan) you will be restricted in how many stat points you can add to a base stat. Items are the only way to go over this cap.
For more information on ranks see the thread breakdown here: Rank Breakdown
**NOTE** You are allowed to go statless if you wish. I am not going to force you to use them, and if you choose to get in a fight with somebody and they agree that it is okay to do so without stats then that is fine, just make a note of said agreement in OOC brackets somewhere in your opening post. However, there are a few things you should keep in mind. If you join a quest, you MUST use stats, I don't care if you put them in your Mini profile and use them only for quest purposes, or what, but unless you use your stats, you cannot take part in a quest. Secondly, by choosing to not put stats in your mini profile and instead go without them, you forfeit any right to the bonuses that come along with Wis, Int, and Cha. Meaning you don't get discounts, you don't get percentage increases on M.E money and you will be restricted on wearing items. ( If you don't use stats then there is no real need for items is there? )
With all this in mind, if you still wish to go without them, then by all means, you are free to do so. Just do not expect everyone to respect your desire to fight without them.
