Seated in her office, her small hand would grasp the edge of her desk before shoving off of it and spinning her chair around....again. A rather bored and somewhat frustrated sigh passing her lips as she did so, her head laid back against the headrest and her eyes cast upward toward the ceiling. To say she was bored would have been an understatement, though that was really nothing new for Kevala, seeing as how it usually took a lot to keep her entertained. Always had.
True, there was plenty she could be doing, seeing as how there was repair needed on the school, new security measures she needed to put in place, and the whole pesky situation of appointing a new School Captain...but the truth was, she just didn't want to. It was her first day back after that whole little fiasco involving Cael, having taken off for a few days for....well...personal reasons.
A little smirk curling upon her lips as she thought about that, chuckling lightly to herself and shaking her head before shoving her hand against the desk once more and completing yet another round in her chair which, for all intensive purposes was now a makeshift merry-go-round. Oh, her choice to take off had been frowned upon highly, not only by the student body and their ever annoying parents, but also by the people that signed her paychecks. Not that she really gave a damn what any of them thought, but their irritated messages and irate phone calls, which she had been receiving all morning were rather annoying. Which would probably explain why there was a desk phone laying in pieces against the far wall of her office.
The sound of her door opening, she would not bother to stop, just continuing to turn around in her chair with her eyes focused upon that single spot on the ceiling. She had two guards outside, so she was fairly certain that nobody had managed to get past them and invade her personal space, so she really wasn't too worried about the sudden intrusion. "What?" Tongue glancing across her lips as her fingers softly drummed upon the arm of her chair, no real sound coming from the action, which even she found a little bit creepy...though in a "That's pretty cool" sort of way.
"What are we going to do about this?" Carmine standing there, being all serious and stuffy as usual, getting a rather exaggerated sigh from Kev as her hand shot out, grasping the edge of the desk and catching herself, bringing herself to a stop so that she was facing him. Those icy hues lingering upon his own, though they were concealed by his usual pair of dark, designer shades.
"About what?" An innocent enough little smile given as she folded her hands and rested them upon her lap, head tilting to the side just a bit and her legs remaining curled up in the chair with her.
"You know very well what I am referring to." A brow arching over his shades as he stepped forward, hands folded together in front of him before unclasping and reaching out to grip the edges of her desk, leaning in to speak more lowly to her. "You do know people are going to have a problem with him staying with you right?" The tone of his voice suggesting that "people" was not such a vast term, and more than likely referring to her family and those that Cael had proven to piss off with his little....game...the other day.
Though, with the potential threat made very clear to her, she would simply shrug and resume her spinning about, not really caring it would seem. "They are not often happy with anything I do. Why should I strive to please them now?" Truth was, she loved Cael and wasn't about to care what anyone said or thought about her current living arrangements. They didn't need to know the depths of her relationship with him, nor with her living arrangements or anything of the sort.
For those that would eventually find out....her kids, his Father...Well they could just get over it. She honestly had reached the point where she just didn't care anymore, and it was a rather freeing sensation. It had been quite a long time since she had been at this point where she didn't have some looming concern about at least one other person's reaction to her decisions. As of right now, only one person's opinion mattered to her, and last she checked he was fine with her current living situation...A small grin tugging at her lips before being wiped clean and her small form making another round in her chair.
"I suppose I should put work into upping the security at the house?" Pretty much a rhetorical question, though one she would answer with a simple devilish smile being flashed his way regardless. She didn't need to say it, he already knew, she was setting herself up for trouble most likely, and if anything, it amused her far too much. "What am I going to do with you?" Trying hard to conceal his chuckle as he righted himself once more into that studious position he always held.
"Oh lighten up Carmine. You know you love me." Chuckling softly before she would stop in her spinning long enough to fish out one of her strawberry and cream lollipops and pop it into her mouth. Actually rather content with herself for the moment, especially now that the damn phone had stopped ringing.
