Superintendent's Classes.....
Because things here at PHS # 8011 are not run like your typical high school and because Kevala, the Superintendent is anything but your typical teacher, I have decided that she will have her own special kind of class.
The Public High School #8011 Fight Club
That's right, a fight club. Now, some might think that a bit much for a teacher to do, some might even call it unjust or unfair. But in reality, in a school setting such as this, it makes perfect sense. And what better person to have teach it than the woman who lives to play games? But, because this is not your typical class, one can not expect it to abide by the same typical rules that a normal class would be run by. So, in regards to this class, which is the ONLY class that Kevala will be teaching, I have set up a special set of rules. So please, read through them carefully as they are rather important:
**NOTE** As of right now, I am running this on a trial by error format. This means that I am going to be watching closely as to how things progress, how smoothly they run, and how easily people take to the class as a whole. Rules are subject to change, though if they do, I will be sure to make a note of it for everyone to see. After the first class is over, I will be putting up a feedback thread to better gauge how things went and to make any adjustments that I need to then.
As always, if you have any questions or concerns regarding this, please contact me via PM ( to my admin account ) or through IMs.

- Unlike other classes which run every month, this one will run every 6 weeks. This is due to the fact that this is not a class which can be rushed through in a matter of a couple weeks, and because, quite honestly, the teacher is a bit on the lazy side.
- For now, until we get a good handle on how things will be run, there will only be 8 slots available per class. This number is likely to decrease or increase depending on how smoothly things operate in the first one or two classes.
- Anyone, who is a student, is able to join. If you are already in a standard class, that is alright. Because this class does not fall under the standard guidelines, it will be allowed for you to take part in this class as well as in a standard learning course. Though, keep in mind the rules regarding that class when joining. If you do not think you can handle two classes, then do not join until you are able to commit to this one.
- Class will be divided into three rounds. This is based off of the fact that there are 8 slots available. You will be paired up with an opponent based on random method of selection. ( ie. Dice roll, random number generator, pulling names from a hat, etc. )
- Once the class sign ups are posted, you have three days to sign up. That is 72 hours. Once the class is full, or the 72 hrs is up, I will post Round 1, which will consist of individual threads for each pair of opponents. So say that all 8 slots are filled, that will be four separate threads. Once Round 1 is finished, I will move on to posting threads for Round 2 which, running off the previous example, would consist of two separate threads where the winners of Round 1 would face off against each other. Then, once those are done, Round 3 will be posted, which will consist of a single thread in which the two people remaining will fight to be the last man/woman standing.
- Each round will last two weeks. This is NOT a flexible time table. Two weeks from the day that the round has begun, assuming there is not a clear victor, Kevala will step in and determine who the winner is based upon technique, creativity and overall performance.
- Should there be an odd number during the sign up process, Kevala will step in to even out the numbers so that the class can proceed as scheduled. If this happens, regardless if you are able to beat her or not, you will advance to the next round. It is simply required that you fight her if you wish to earn you rewards for the class.
- Rewards for each round are as follows:
Round #1: All participants will receive +2 EXP at the completion of this round. +1 for the class, and +1 for the fight. Winner advances to Round #2.
Round #2: All particpants will receive +3 EXP at the completion of this round. +1 for the class, +1 for the fight, and +1 for advancing to this level.
Round #3: All participants will receive +5 EXP at the completion of this round. +2 for fully completing the class, +1 for the fight, and +2 for advancing to the final round of the competition. The winner of this round will be awarded a prize for proving to be the best of the best within the class. This is something that will be determined based on overall performance throughout the entire 6 weeks. It can range anywhere from a cash prize, to a consumable item or even an item which does not provide any statistical gain, but does have some neat little trick to it. ( This will be determined by Kevala and another member of staff. ) - Once you have advanced to the final round, you are not allowed to join up for the next class. This is to avoid one one single person dominating every single class and to avoid that person from hoarding stats. So in other words, if you are one of the two finalists, you will not be eligible to join Fight Club for 6 weeks. Everyone deserves a chance to join if they wish, so I want to be able to give everyone that chance.
- Posting order is not going to follow the typical one teacher post to one round of student posts. The opening post will be done by Kevala, but after that, the thread with be treated like a typical turn based fight thread. ( You don't have to wait for Kev to post to keep the fight going. ) This is not to say that I won't post for her, it just means that her posts will be random and thrown in whenever she feels the need to say something.
