NPC's [/u][/b]  Carmine D'AngeloRelationship: He is probably the closest thing that Kevala has ever had to a real family aside from her beautiful wife Mischa and their three kids; and of course Gabriel Seran. No, Carmine is a man who was hired by Kevala when she was still rather young, to serve as her personal bodyguard. This was due to both her paranoia over her family trying to take her life, and several other incidents in which people tried to kill her, capture her or torture her. It was also because quite honestly, Kevala was tired of being alone at the time. Not that she will ever admit that to another living soul, not even Carmine. The man has stood by her through many, many hard times, and though she loves Mischa and Gabriel with all her heart, Carmine is the only one who knows every single detail about who she is and the things she has done. This is not really because she does not trust the others, because quite honestly, she trusts them with her life just as she does Carmine. No, it is simply because he is the only one she can guarantee that won't pass judgement upon her for doing something bad. No matter how horrible her acts have been in the past, he has never once looked at her as anything less than what he always sees her as, a friend and perhaps even a daughter of sorts. If you see Kev, it is very likely that the big man is not lurking far away. Though he tries to stay in the shadows, to allow her room and freedom, he worries about her safety constantly and is usually within a quick, few minutes drive, of wherever she is at. He has had to save her far too many times to not know the very real dangers that she often faces, and its because of this that he will often disobey a direct order from her in order to stay close and make sure she is alright. Currently he is the head of her personal security firm, which she created in order to protect her businesses as well as her family. A man of very few words, it is not often that people, other than Kevala and the rest of the family, hear him speak. Usually, he is just the silent figure that stands nearby to make sure all is well. A master in security technology, he is able to provide Kevala with the best of the best in home and office security, as well as bypass most other security systems put into place by other people. This makes him very useful when she needs to get into a place and get something without them person or persons being the wiser. Add to that, that he is a skilled fighter and expert with knife combat, and he is quickly becoming one of Kev's favorite go to guys for things she needs handled that she does not feel comfortable sending Carmine out to do. Miscellaneous [/u][/b]  Lace up leather cuffs that Kevala is typically ALWAYS wearing. The only time she takes them off is when she goes to bed, and she puts them back on as soon as she wakes up and before she leaves her room. She doesn't allow anyone to see her wrists, aside from her wife and those closest to her. Which is a very, very short list.  These are the cuffs that she wears on the rare occasion that she feels the need to dress a bit more formally. Just like the leather ones, the encircle her whole wrist and hide them from sight, the only difference is that these are locked into place with a silver pin instead of being laced up.  Kevala's wedding ring. Never takes it off. EVER. Meaning that if it ends up damaged during a fight she is likely to kill the person she is fighting because it by far, is her most cherished item in the entire world.  Silver knife set given to Kevala by Gabriel many years ago. Just as her wedding ring is a cherished and prized possession, so is this set. It is the only true gift that was ever given to Kevala that did not feel cheapened or fake. It is the one time in her life, that she knows the gift was meant for her specifically and not just some generic gift that guys give girls. It was a symbol, in her mind, that he knew and understood her. Add to that, the fact that it is the only material gift she has ever received from Gabriel and of course she is going to cherish them with her life. When they are not being warn/used, they are locked securely away in a spot that nobody would be able to get to. **NOTE** These are all just personal items that do not hold any stat value what so ever, but that are a very big part of who Kevala is as a person. Most of them are usually something that can be seen on her person at any given time, with the exception of the knives. Though any time she is using "her knives" it is the set depicted here. Qi Information [/i][/b][/color][/size][/center] Name: Whispering Breath Description: Kevala has a rather unique ability. Whenever she was given her injection, like the others, to gain her Qi her body did not react to it the way that everyone else's did. This is due to the fact that Kevala herself is a genetic experiment and has always reacted to drugs and medications differently than a normal person. For this reason, the ability that she gained is not something that gives her any advantage during a fight, but instead alters her being entirely. What this means is that there is absolutely no benefit from this ability that can be used during a fight, therefore it does not ever need to be activated. Instead it has simply altered who she is and her entire state of being in a way that it is pretty much just a naturally occurring part of who she is. As for what it does exactly...It makes her every movement fluid, flawless and silent. Put quite simply, it makes her movements as fluid and graceful as the wind. A mere whispered breath upon the ground. This ranges from the way she walks, to the way she brushes her hair and even the way that she breaths. Every bit of it is flawless...silent...and graceful, to the point of being almost unnatural or otherworldly. Because of this, it seems to add to the natural beauty and sex appeal that she already possesses....making every sway of her hips that much more hypnotic, every flick of her hair that much more alluring and every brush of her tongue to her lips that much more enticing. It also adds to that air of mystery that surrounds her, that unsettling feeling that her presence can sometimes provide in that she moves so silently that it is sometimes hard to detect her in a room before she is right there upon you, at least when she is moving slowly and taking her time. When she runs, though flawless and graceful as everything else, she is not capable of being totally silent, though she is still quieter than a normal person would be. Post Limitations: None because this Qi is not capable of providing an advantage during a fight. It is simply a state of being for Kevala and does not offer any thing from which she can benefit during a fight. Stat Costs: This Qi costs Kevala -10 CHA in any thread she is in due to the fact that this is not something she can turn off and on at will. It is a state of being for her, and therefore present in every thread. Side Effects:- Kevala will make noise when and if she runs, this is because it is much harder to remain silent when moving at such a rapid pace, though regardless of this her movements remain fluid and graceful.
- She cannot turn off this ability, therefore she is incapable of acting clumsy at any time. For one such as her, who uses her ability to act in order to achieve certain goals, this can be very troublesome and put a big dent in her acting ability.
- To some, due to the fact that she moves so silently and without a single flaw, this can come across as unsettling, though this does not happen very often. Though when it does, it can be a bit off putting to Kevala herself, if only because it makes it harder for her to manipulate said person.
So that would put her CHA at 30. From here on out, it will be noted in her sidebar stats in parentheses. If anyone has an issue with this Qi, just let me know. Though I really don't see a problem.[/font] |
