The Pillars of Public High School: #8011 are chosen based not only on their ability to perform in a given position, but also on their fighting prowess (Challenges); Many would ask, why does a Pillar get chosen based on their ability to fight?
Simple. Violence is considered the norm in a vast majority of schools because our teachers are no longer restricted by the 'No Touch' Policy. Instead, if a student is acting out they are not sent from the room (depriving them of an education) or allowed to remain (depriving others of an education), they are punished physically, according to their actions.
Hit another student? Our friendly teachers will give you a bit of a slap around. Freak out and start hurling things about the room? They'll beat you down in front of the class. Anarchy will not be tolerated here at PHS: #8011.
Because of the situation with teachers, students often feel it is necessary to lash out in the hallways, cafeteria, or other areas where teachers are not present to keep them in check. Little Johnny got Mr. Smith to pummel me in Math class... I need to get revenge! Normally Johnny would be suspect to all manner of Gang Beatings but thankfully the Pillar system is put in place to help regulate these situations.
The Varsity Captain, the Lead Editor of the School Newspaper, and the Student Activities Director. These three positions report directly to the School Captain, and consequently, the Headmaster, as the School Captain reports directly to the Headmaster.
They are in most cases put in place to keep the peace, but can be utilized for virtually any task on school grounds the Headmaster sets forth.
Hierarchy of Power:
Headmaster:
- School Captain
- Varsity Captain
- Lead Editor
- Student Activities Director
Power of Pillars on Campus.....
When a fight happens on campus grounds, chances are a Pillar is going to hear about it. When the word gets out Pillars have the right to enter into any thread inside the Public High School: #8011 board, closed or open.
This power does not extend off school grounds. Be careful about where you decide to have your throw down over that hot little girl next door.
Pillar System Items.....
As tradition would dictate, members of these prestigious leader positions are given something special for as long as they maintain the title. These are meant to portray their position and are quite expensive. However, the minute your reign as a Pillar comes to the end the item is revoked from your position so that the next in line may shine as brightly as you did.
These items are unique in that they are the only positive multipliers allowed on the board.

Challenge System.....
So you want to be a Pillar? In order to become a Pillar you need to issue a challenge to a Staff Member so they can create a thread for you and the current Pillar ( Or one of the Staff Members in the case of the position not being filled ).
These are quick threads where big long explanations of the dust bunny under the bleachers of the gym just are not necessary. Instead focus on the challenge you've issued.
When you're ready to give a challenge a go fill out and send the below to a staff member ( Currently Kevala Badoer ) and they will create your thread as soon as possible.
Position You're Aiming for: ( School Captain, Varsity Captain, etc. )
Type of Challenge You're Issuing: ( Street Fight, Logic Driven Quest, etc. )
Place of Challenge: ( School Roof, Gym, Middle of the City Park, etc. )
Copy of Stats Without Items: ( You put in your stats here without items. )
1) All Challenge fights are done without Items. This includes items of the current Pillars.
2) There is no such thing as a fight to the death when it comes to Pillar challenges. Weapons are disallowed on principle.
3) Pillar challenges are one on one fights between two people trying to prove their mettle.
4) After a new Pillar is selected that Pillar enters a 2 Week real time immunity state. This means they can not be challenged until two weeks are up.
5) There can not be more than one challenge thread per position at any one time. If you issue a challenge you will be put into a que system until that challenge and the immunity state is up.
6) If a Pillar is not doing their job to the Headmasters expectations they can be removed.
7) Pillars removed or placed by the Headmaster are not granted immunity until after their first challenge.
8) If a challenge thread has not had activity for a week it will be locked and the Pillar position will be able to be challenged once more immediately.
9) After a challenge issued, the involved parties will have 48 hours to post. Posting locks their stats in place. After that the activity in a week rule applies.
10) Pillar fights will be two weeks or less. Should a challenge take two weeks or more, the thread will be locked, judged, and staff will pick a winner based upon the posts.[/blockquote]
