A little getting to know you thing. At least that was what Kevala thought of this dance that she had put together. Well, the idea was her's but be damned if she had lifted a finger to actually do anything. Oh sure, she had ordered people around, had them do this and that, but most of the work had been done by the students, which in reality, was kind of what she had wanted. There was no use is having a school event if the students were not going to pitch in to make it what they wanted.
This was for them after all. Might as well be designed for them and what they liked. Honestly, she wouldn't even be here if it wasn't for the fact that she had to oversee the whole thing. Dressed in a rather traditional looking dress, Kevala would stand off to the side surveying the scene.
There were the usual decorations one would expect, ones consisting of tables with white table cloths, a large table set up with refreshments, an area set aside for the DJ and of course the dance floor. The lighting was rather nice, she had to admit that, though there had been some adjustments made to ensure that it was nice and not tacky like it had been earlier on during the preparation process.
Now, it was just a matter of watching and waiting on the students to arrive. She had not made the dance mandatory, though she had to admit, those that didn't show had a very high likelihood of regretting it later on. But then, that was just Kevala and her tendency to not take kindly to people ignoring such things when she put so much thought into them. But, she would just have to wait and see, surely the students of this school were not that stupid. Were they?
OOC: Dance is officially open. You can still post your Monthly Events. This does not mean that those are closed off, just that I am moving things along. <3

Earlier that Night
Aryanna had been moving about her room, making the final adjustments on her attire for the evening. To be honest, the outfit had come a long way, and though it still needed a few finishing touches, she was sure she would have it done by the time the dance was ready to start.
Sitting in the center of her bed, she had begun to sew up the final hem when her phone rang, a slight arch of her brow as she looked toward it and tilted her head. Not that she was unused to it going off at all sorts of odd hours, but more so it was the name that lit up the caller id that got her brow to quirk. She had not really been expecting to hear from Cael tonight, though it took her but a moment to reach out and pick up the phone. "Why hello there handsome, hadn't planned on hearing from you this evening.." A little grin tugging on her lips as she tucked the phone between her ear and her shoulder so that she could go back to what she was doing, time being of the essence of course.
“Aryanna, care to join me tonight?”
Her hands pausing mid stitch as she noted the tone in his voice, and that grin she held turning a bit more devilish as she suppressed a small chuckle. He did not sound to be in a very good mood, so her usual tactics of laughter and teasing seemed to be unwarranted, at least for now. "Of course mon cher. I would be honored." Purring the words forth slightly as she gave a little nod, hanging up the phone and then glancing at the clock. Seemed that time had just shortened itself on her, forcing her to hurry through her last moment preparations in order to get dressed and head out.
_______________________________________________
The Dance
Her Father had offered to drop her off, and though Aryanna was not a fan of having her parents take her anywhere, she knew that the likelihood of getting in a cab and not being eye candy for some pervert drunk or cab driver were less than likely. So, she had accepted, reluctantly.
As the black sedan pulled up in front of the school, Aryanna would cast the man a final, half hearted little smile. "Thank you ......Papa.." The word leaving a bitter taste in her mouth, but that being one of the few rules they had for her, she chose to obey, for the most part.
"Do try and not cause too much of a ruckus tonight my dear, and remember what I said, stay away from that Superintendent of your's." Leaning over in the seat and pressing a kiss to Aryanna's cheek, causing her to cringe slightly, though she did well to hide it from him. Pulling away, she said nothing in response to his words, a little curious as to why he insisted that she stay away from Mrs. Badoer, but knowing better than to press him on the matter....It would lead to no good.
So, she just turned, opened her door and stepped out, a quick kick of her heel to the door to slam it shut, letting him drive away as she went about smoothing out her dress and adjusting the small scarf about her neck. She had figured that all the other girls would be dressing in something a bit more traditional to the women of that period and though she herself had thought to do so, she had opted for something that felt a bit more fitting to her personality. Margaret on the other hand, well she would be dressed in a normal, 1920's style dress....One that Aryanna had picked out herself.
Tugging the hat down upon her head, she ran her fingers through her straight dark locks, allowing them to spill over her shoulders as she sauntered her way up toward the entrance, a glance down given to her watch to make sure she was on time and seeing that she was just a bit early. So, now it was a matter of waiting on Cael to show up, since he had been rather clear on the fact that she was to accompany him and all.

Cael was already at the dance when Aryanna arived, having gotten there a few moments earlier to prepare his vengeance on the coach that'd set him up on trash duty for the morning. It was all a matter of tact and strategy to appear as nonchalant as possible when the anvil fell down on his head. First and foremost he'd proceed to the punch bowel slidding a pair of pills across the the boy setting it up giving a little wink.
"Do best not to squeel, I want them to rue the day this dance went off without a hitch."
A little chuckle of sorts to his throat giving the kid the once over before sauntering off not entirely sure if he'd follow up on the actions provided. Otherwise Cael proceeded across the dancefloor. His target the DJ stand making sure to stand by the CD section that was positioned out there, casually he'd lean over it not making mention to his hand motions quickly slipping a CD into the mix at about the third slot in before walking off along the nearest wall.
Sure this might have been spiteful but Cael didn't exactly take losing all too kindly, as it were there were a bunch of posters put up. His hand sliding into the pinstripe suit he was wearing to make a nitch at the pen sleeping in his breast pocket would be drawn to etch moustaches and all sorts of propaganda all over them. Cael would come across one with Aryanna's name on it, a pause as his pen etched over it or rather lurked over the surface before drawing his palm back idly slipping the cap back on it before turning round back to the dancefloor.
The boy straightened up having gotten a bit of the dirty, dark deeds out of his system working to wrap his hands around an emerald tie at his neck working it taut before slipping them away into his pockets. A pair of hues catching his across the crowd and the boy would make a glance at her bobbing his head instructing her to join him before turning away towards the punch bowel. Nabbing two he'd whisper silently.
"I hope a good conscionce isn't stalling my plans?"
Cael would wait a moment letting his lips furrow over his teeth biding his time for a response before gripping the boy around the throat and breathing down his neck.
"...Get to it."
Hand releasing just as quick before leaning up against the table shifting to entirely calm facade figuring Aryanna to be joining him soon.

Shane had just come home from picking up his costume, his sister's costume, and her boyfriend's costume, but thankfully he hadn't gone by himself, Darius had some time to spare in between working on his Final Year Project, and had gone with Shane. Surprisingly though, Shane actually liked Darius, the guy was very much like an older brother to Shane, and treated him pretty well. The two of them returning home, Shane would immediately take his costume to his room, he didn't need a phenomenal amount of time to get ready, but it was better to be done with everything and have time to spare, then rush around to get ready in time. - Evening of the Dance -After he had taken a shower, Shane got dressed, by which time, Brianna and Darius had already dressed up in their respective costumes, and she was calling for Shane, it was time to go. The three of them piling into Darius' car, which undoubtedly fit the theme of the dance somewhat already, they'd head off to the school. After Darius parked his pride and joy, having built the car from scratch, Shane would head out on his own to the dance area, leaving his sister and her boyfriend to spend some quality time together. Although his costume was pretty simple, being what gangsters during the 1920's wore, he had to thoroughly convince security that the gun that came with the costume was plastic, a fake, not real. Although it was a tad exasperating, Shane didn't let it get him down, and was finally let in. Suffice to say, his sister and boyfriend will probably have an easier time getting in than he did. Walking into the dance area, his sister and Darry joining him in the dance area soon after, he had to admit, her costume and Darius' costume coordinated and complimented each others quite nicely. Typical Brianna, always thinking ahead. Wandering over to the punch area, Shane would hang near the table, but didn't take a drink, despite the constant badgering from the guy manning the table. He was just honestly waiting to see if anyone he knew would show up, because he really didn't want to hang around with his sister all night long. Seriously...

Standing there, it only took a few minutes for her eyes to catch sight of Cael, a little grin given toward him as he motioned for her to join him by the refreshment table. She had been looking elsewhere and otherwise missed his little bout of threatening the slightly nerdy kid running the concessions. No, by the time she caught sight of him, he was standing there, being his usual self and looking just as good as always.
Nudging her way through the small group of students that had already arrived, she would make her way over to where he stood, coming to a stop in front of him and tilting her head back just enough that her eyes could meet his own. "Vous recherchez aussi bien que toujours je vois."[Looking as good as always I see.] The words spoken in a soft, purred manner before she would press her hand softly against his chest and lean up to brush her lips against his cheek. It was a brief contact before she would pull away, stepping back and turning to glance toward Shane who stood nearby.
"My, my Shane...Aren't you looking rather dashing tonight? No playing with wood tonight I hope?" She would chuckle slightly, turning more to face him, though allowing her back, as well as her pert little ass to brush up, oh so casually, against Cael. Tease? But of course.
Soon, a clicking of heels would be heard though, making a quick bee line toward where they stood, it took but a quick glance to realize that it was little Margaret. As she came to a stop in front of both Aryanna and Cael, she would smile rather brightly, glancing up at Cael and then Aryanna, her hands fidgeting over her dress rather nervously. Though, there had been some minor adjustments made by Aryanna. Such as the feather in her hair and the boa that she carried were not black, as they had originally been, but instead Aryanna had opted to go with a deep emerald green shade.
However, as Aryanna looked her over, she would note the fact that the boa was wrapped about the girls neck and she would tsk lightly with her tongue, stepping forward and undoing the feathery contraption and removing it from her neck and instead revealing a gold band about her neck with a single emerald stone danging down the front. In the back in rather discreet lettering were the initials C.S...."I told you, you cannot be covering that up. Understood?" A slight arch of her brow as she adjusted the girls outfit just a bit to make her more presentable and then took a step back, her back lightly pressing into Cael once more. "Oh...Oh I am sorry. I didn't think..." Margaret's eyes trailed up to Cael, offering up a little sheepish smile before she would again fidget with her clothing.
Though Aryanna's attention would turn away from Margaret now, as she turned back toward Cael, a little tilt of her head as those eyes met his. "So what are you up to mon cher?" Not really meaning he was up to anything, but more so asking out of curiosity for what he had been up to today.

Ira strolled into the dance with Miranda following alongside like the little puppy she was. Ira looked around not entirely seeing anyone she knew with the exception of her "big" brother. He looked as mischievous as ever.... which had risen suspicion as he slipped near the DJ stand for only but a brief moment. She wouldn't let it be known she was there... wanting to keep her distance from her brother. The two were close, though as she had grown older the distance between them grew further. Ira would make her way to the stack of CDs... She flipped through them all, but they were all blank and she had no clue what he had snuck in there. If he sabotaged her hard work he was going to get an earful. Though she wasn't going to be able to find out what he had done until it was too late... Turning around she shot Miranda a snide glare. <<Vous êtes toujours là? Laissez-moi tranquille ... Aller jambe de quelqu'un bosse ou quelque chose.>> [You are still here? Leave me alone... Go hump someone's leg or something.] She would flick her wrist to gesture for the girl to run off... and not surprising at all... she actually did. She found her other ass kiss friends that were in her grade and had began to mingle with them. Now... Her brother seemed a little occupied with someone she couldn't see the face of (and probably won't recognize either way due to the costume) she would just leave it be. He still needed the calm before the storm if he did start shit with her music. She would scan the dance floor and her eyes would fall on a rather attractive stranger near the punch table. A sly smile sparked to life as the opportunities danced within her head. She would make her way over to him... once getting closer her hand would come up and flick her long blonde hair back; exposing her chest. "Mind if you be passing me a drink?" praise God for the apparent French accent or she would have sounded like a retard. Her eyes would look him up and down with an obvious hint of flirting. (OOC: assuming this is before the challange)

"Mom! I don't want to look like a circus monkey!"
Michael would fidget whilst being strung up by the cumberbuns, his mother's hand around his neck threateningly like any veterened warrior working to strangle him. Though in this case it'd turned out slightly different, yes well now it would seem as though his mother was simply working to help him... How foolish.
"Shush honey, I'm just trying to...." Her fingers figetting before, There all better!"
Her fingers would writhe through his grease striken hair making sure that it was parted back around his skull to look a bit presentable like any formal gentleman of the decade.
Anyways Michael made it out, his mother driving him to the school grounds and over towards his booth before being harassed by another bully.
"Do best not to squeel, I want them to rue the day this dance went off without a hitch."
Michael would wrap his hands around the tabs of ecstacy balling up his fist tightly around it thinking better than to give into the threats of yet another bully. It only deemed to give them more power, thats right Michael was a changed man he'd tough this one out. Then a pair of hands around his throat.
"I hope a good conscionce isn't stalling my plans?"
"Guh...Nope..."
He'd try flailing only to be held from any source of leaverage. His hand unclenching letting the tabs fall a bit late into the bowl. Being let down he'd drop the the floor quickly catching his breath and breathing heavily to look up at the blurred figure scared.

Now, some might say that Kev was a bit overly paranoid, which in all honesty was likely the truth, but that didn't mean that it was always a bad thing. Just...sometimes. Like the thirty bottles of asprin laying around the house that she had lost track of, and therefore refused to use again...or the fact that if they ordered in, it took her about half an hour to actually take a bite of food. Little things like that.
But tonight, well tonight it seemed to be one of those things that was paying off rather to her advantage. A little sigh as those icy hues caught sight of Cael making his way about the area. Refreshments, music, posters. Ugh, that boy had so much of his Father in him and yet was so very different at the same time. A little shake of her head given as she moved from her current spot of overseeing things toward the group that was gathering near the refreshment table, a quick brush past Ira, leaning in to whisper to the girl rather softly so as not to be heard by any one else. "Je voudrais vérifier votre chère musique, je pense que ton frère a ajouté quelque chose à la combinaison que vous n'aimerez pas." She had twins, she knew how horrid it could be when they went at it and she was not sure that was exactly what she wanted to witness here. She may not have been liked by Ira very much, and with Cael it was never a sure thing, but they were Gabriel's children and she would look out for them as much as she possibly could.
A glance toward the punch bowl, not entirely sure what it was he had done there, though not about to drink the stuff, though she wouldn't have anyways, it was an open container, way too easy to poison. And then a smooth move up alongside where Cael currently stood, trying her best to ignore the girl he was with, despite that nagging sensations he got every time she was around her. "Can I speak to you?" Nothing really in her tone that would speak of her being upset with him or anything, more just a casual, soft spoken voice that she often held.
Assuming he would grant her that small request, she would slowly pull him off to the side, glancing to make sure that nobody else was busy listening in. "Care to explain why it is you are aiming to create chaos at my dance?" She was curious, which was nothing new, though if you knew Kevala, you knew that what other adults might deem as bad behavior, she often found rather amusing. It was all a matter of knowing how to handle her.
So, for now, she would stand and let him explain, her head tilted back so that she could meet his eyes with her own and her arms lightly, casually folded across her chest. "And please tell me what you put in the drinks..."

Compliments were always welcome, Cael turned to set his eyes on Aryanna, not quite just on but all over. A small tug at the corners of his cheeks as his eyes flirted with dangerous regions if only to get a reaction out of her. His own little mobster dressed to fit the part swaying his right index finger beneath her chin to lift her upwards to his eyes now acting to scan her over not illiciting to any romanticism. Cael's eyes would flit casually over to his toy's new piece of hardware not inclining to liking it or otherwise, to be honest it was rather gaudy. This little game they were up to seemed to escalate rather quickly.
"What I am up to.. is revenge."
A flitting smirk before being flanked by Kevala. That smirk fell away slowly into a devious glare, eyes still locked on Aryanna before peeling off and trailing along over towards his aunt following her guiding hand casually.
"Chaos? I haven't the slightest involvement, however I'd check out the shady character serving the punch last I checked he wasn't signed up for that position during the prep."
A malicious smirk, "Auntie Kev, I feel hurt you have no faith in me. Tsk tsk, wouldn't my father be disappointed."
Yes he was pulling that card, it was no secret their unconventional relationship. And afterall Cael was mean.

That finger snaking under her chin would get her head to lift upward slightly, a little grin as she looked up at Cael and watched as he looked all over her. She didn't read more into his gaze than what was obvious, which was exactly why she liked him. She could toy and tease and flirt all she wanted, but at the end of the night, he had no desire to be with her beyond trying to fuck her, and therefore there were no strings attached.
As for Margaret, she was quickly shooed away, Aryanna's mood not playing well to having the little blonde thing flittering around for the entire night. "Revenge hmm? Might I ask against who?" A little grin, those eyes sparking to life with the delight and idea of causing trouble. She did so love when things went wrong for those around her, thriving off the chaos that it brought about. Like little rats caught in a trap. Though, her words were soon enough cut short by the Superintendent coming forth and casually ushering Cael away.
Under any other circumstance, Aryanna might have pouted, her current amusement snatched from her grasp and leaving her to otherwise, entertain herself. It never ended well, at all. But she wasn't about to tag along with him, if not for the sake of not really caring, then more for the fact she was supposed to steer clear of that woman.
Instead, she turned toward Ira and the boy she was talking to....Shane. "Je regardais celui-là. Il aime à jouer avec de belles pièces, épaisses, dures de bois quand il pense que personne ne regarde." An all too innocent little grin as she glanced between the two nodding slightly.
She had no bad feelings about potentially messing up this boys "game" because quite honestly, he needed to work on it a bit more, or so she believed. His come backs had been lacking and his ability to flaunt what he had, well...lets just say he needed work in that area too. Shrugging slightly, she would let out a rather bored little sigh, a glance given to the boy handing out the drinks and a quick snap of her fingers given. "You...whatever your name is...drink." Oh, sure, she could have thrown a please in there, and she wouldn't have drank if she knew what Cael was up to, but as it were, she would wait until the nerdy little fellow handed her a drink and then turn to look out over the crowd, taking a sip and propping her hip up against the table. Every once and awhile tossing a glance toward Cael, wishing he would hurry up already....Little did she know her night was about to get way more interesting....as yet another sip was taken.

She had to sigh at that one. Yep, just like his Father, only problem was, she wasn't about to let this one push her around like she had allowed Gabriel to do for far too many years. "The only reason your Father even still tolerates me is because he knows that I am a rather capable person." She was totally guessing at this point. "I also know you are up to something because of the fact that your Mother is the queen of mischief. Apples do not fall far from the tree as they say."
Her brow raising slightly as she shifted her weight to one leg, she wasn't so much irritated that he would do something here, more that he thought her stupid enough to fall for that look and smooth persona. Nope, already been down that road once, still paying for it. "As for my lack of faith in you. Well that is where you are wrong. I have complete and utter faith in you, to completely mess up tonight's event for whatever reason you see fit. In fact I wouldn't expect any less from you. Though if you really must do so, please be sure and to at least make it entertaining for me. These things bore me within an inch of my life."
A little nod before she would reach into her purse and pull out a pen and a piece of paper. Jotting down a few numbers on it as well as a location. "Here, should be rather interesting trick to pull on everyone once things get going, assuming the opportunity presents itself." Handing the paper out to him and then bowing her head slightly. "Have a good evening Cael, and keep and eye out for Kazumi will you? She hasn't exactly been acting herself lately." A hint of concern crossing her gaze before it was gone, returning to that usual, calm expression she always held.
Soon enough, turning to head off into the party, to keep an eye on things and to track down that little kid by the punch bowl. Oh, she was sure he had nothing to do with it, but maybe she could at least figure out what Cael was up to.

As Shane stood off to the side of the refreshment table, minding his own business, a very familiar face would appear nearby, addressing the guy that had not too long ago, threatened poor Michael, who was manning the refreshment table, Shane having been too far away to witness it. It's not that Shane didn't want to accept a drink from Michael, he just didn't trust the contents of the punch bowl, having been to one too many dances with spiked punch. Shifting his attention over to Aryanna as he looked at her, he'd grin cheerfully at her.
"It's the gun, girls dig the weaponry, and you look lovely as always, Aryanna. No wood this time though, just a tommy gun."
Pointing his plastic submachine gun at her, he'd close one eye and taking aim, pretend to fire a single shot at her like he had just taken her down, his attention shifting yet again as he suddenly found his vision filled by blond hair being flicked back and... an exposed chest.
"Uh... sure, but you really want a drink? I don't really trust the type of punch they're serving, to be honest..."
Blinking down at the girl, his plastic gun held loosely in his hand by his side, if she was really sure she wanted a drink, he'd grab a cup of punch and hold it out for her to take, he did like her French accent though, not to mention it was pretty obvious she was flirting with him, but he didn't mind, he'd let her flirt with him to her heart's content. Seeing Aryanna come over while her date was having a lovely chat with the Superintendent, Shane mentally palmed his own face, innocent Aryanna was not.
He also wasn't too crushed by her potentially messing up his "game", as he had not been playing this time, today, he was just being his normal awesome bouncing ball of joy. The only reason his comebacks were lacking and his ability to flaunt what he had was subpar because that was not how he naturally acted, being cheeful and staying easygoing was his natural attitude.
"Uh... yeah, I'm Shane Westley, and you are...? Oh, and just saying, I declare myself not responsible for anything that happens."
Referring to the spiked punch and the effect it would have on those that drank it, naturally.

Ira was handed the punch.. though Shane had warned her not to drink it. That was enough for her to do so. Why? She had already seen her brother approach the table twice now and left empty handed. Her brother was probably as conniving as she was.... in his own boyish ways.
So instead she grabbed the cup and held it to her chest as she listened to him... though not long after she was approached by two people. Aryanna whom warned her about Shane and his wood... Ira would look up away from Aryanna and towards Shane with a cock of her brow... "Wood?" she would laugh it off and then would just finally introduce herself. Though the wood was a curious subject. "I'm am Ira Seran."
JUST then Kevala would pop out of no where. The information she shared would draw out a sigh and a roll of Ira's eyes as a response. So he did fuck with her music. <<Je sais, mais je ne pouvais pas le trouver.>> Then Kevala was out of her hair.
"Sorry." she would lift her hand delicately as her finger grazed his toy gun softly. "Where were we?" she would twist her face in realization as she retracted her hand. "Oh... Your wood." she laughed... it was a joking flirt.... not like she was actually interested in his "wood" what ever it was.... Ira was a one track kind of girl and right now it wasn't wood....

Michael was slinking back into hiding as best as he could manage such. After being pushed around by Cael he wasn't likely to get into any more fights so long as he played along. Though if he got in trouble for this it would be his head. Michael shivered in his boots making eye contact with the other boy their who'd made notice of him being picked on yet still did nothing to interrupt the little interjection. Lower lip trembling briefly to show his fear of another such outburst.
"You...whatever your name is...drink."
Michael flinched when she snapped at him thinking it was Cael back again to wrap his knuckles against his face. Pouring her a cup he managed mostly to spill all over himself and portions of her drink clumsily.
"H-h-here, its Michael..."
THe small boy managed to make his lips for into words given dramatic effort.

Revenge? Against who? No he'd dare not say, lest risk defiling the masterful plan. Admittedly it wasn't his best work and wasn't quite as apt as a direct attack on the coach as it struck down so many people in its wake. But even still Cael was a man of sending across threatening messages.
Pulled aside by his aunt he would have to resign a different facade for the scenario calming his excitable notion of striking those who'd wronged him. Even exchanging glances with his aunt he couldn't help but grin and fight off a fit of laughter. Queen of mischeif, mother? Haha, that was a laugh. She was the nicest mother he ever knew. How could she... oh wait.
Cael's hand gripping out to take the paper she'd given him. A bit of an abuse to the system wouldn't you think? The superintendant giving him something of absolute control.
"Surely I will," A bit of a fiendish chuckle in his throat catching a thought as she'd turned away, "You're not doing this because of my father are you?"
It was a very serious question to take her up on. Something he wasn't entirely sure he wanted to know the truth about.
