She could tell he was getting annoyed, and if anything that just made her more self conscious of herself than ever. She knew how to get attention, she just knew that it was not the kind of attention she wanted. If anything, she would be lucky to make it out of this school alive should they figure out who she was and where she came from.
Still, she would sit back and listen to him, nodding slightly and trying to think of a way to turn the conversation from the current topic at hand. The last thing she wanted to do was annoy the only boy to offer to sit down and talk to her on his own, that was for sure. "I..." Her words cut short as his arm swung out and he offered to once more shake her hand.
For a moment, she would hesitate...her eyes looking from his face to his hand and then back again, before very slowly allowing her hand to slip within his own once more. A little smile working its way onto her features as she shook his hand and gave a soft, rather cheerful little giggle, blushing just a bit and ducking her head in shyness. Quickly, her free hand would lift upward to tuck her red locks back behind her ears, ensuring that they did not cascade down into her eyes again. "Well....thank you. It will be nice to have you as a friend I believe. Hopefully I will do a good job of upholding the title myself." Her eyes sparkling just a bit with a genuine sense of happiness that came across them, her smile simply growing a bit wider now.
Eventually, she would withdraw her hand from within his own once more, allowing it to fall into her lap to rest alongside the other once more . Yet this time her eyes did not leave his own. "I really don't mean to make myself out to be this poor, pathetic girl or anything. I just have a really bad habit of always telling the truth, even when it tends to cast me in a less than favorable light. Such as right now." She shrugged one shoulder as she tilted her head just a bit, though keeping that rather happy air about her the whole time.

And she took his hand, Cain's smile maintaining its presence as he gave it a single firm shake, before simply allowing his fingers to stay wrapped around her hand. It wasn't a formal gesture anymore. It was simply two new friends holding hands. As casually as it could possibly be. "Well....thank you. It will be nice to have you as a friend I believe. Hopefully I will do a good job of upholding the title myself." Cain chuckled, giving a few nods of his head. "Hopefully." He repeated, though mostly as a tease, a soft grin coming upon his lips. And when she made an effort to pull her hand back, Cain would release it, before allowing his own to fall back onto his side. Then, he would begin to lean on his right foot, as he swung both of his hands over his head and back.
Interlocking his fingers, he leaned his head back against it, as he gazed past and above her, then, staring simply at the distant view of the city before them. New York was large. Incredulously large. And the view this building provided them was far from natural. As far as his eyes could see, all the 17-year-old could gaze upon were buildings after buildings, both short and tall, clean and dirty, new and old. His eyes, of course, would not wander away long, and he glanced back at her, simply staring into her green hues. And not a second later did she speak up once again.
"I really don't mean to make myself out to be this poor, pathetic girl or anything. I just have a really bad habit of always telling the truth, even when it tends to cast me in a less than favorable light. Such as right now."
Cain scoffed, giving a look of disbelief as he shook his head. His hands would unravel themselves, as he casually swung them outwards, letting them smack gently against his sides. Reaching forward, he rested his palm against the edge of the ledge, before swinging himself around to sit upon it this time, a single hop of his foot sufficient in scaling what difference in height there was between the ledge and his bottom, if there was any in the first place.
"Doesn't matter to me. Hell, I'd rather you be honest to me than sugar coat things. The truth hurts, but you know what they say, no pain, no gain, right?" He smirked, turning his head to stare into her eyes, before releasing a shrug. "So, about this school... What can you tell me about it, other than the fact that teenage tyranny hasn't spared this hallways?"

When he held onto her hand, she had to struggle not to blush once more, having felt like she was possibly doing enough of that already and wanting to create more of an impression upon him than simply being that girl that blushed all time. Still, it was hard, given the fact that she really wasn't used to a boy holding her hand, even if it was in a friendly gesture.
As she released his hand, she would continue to watch him, allowing her smile to remain softly in place, even as her body shifted so that when he sat beside her, he was not given a clear view of ehr back. She had just gotten him to like her on some level, the last thing she needed now was to introduce him to more of her weird traits...and that included the pair of markings on her back that ran along her shoulder blades and gave the appearance of being scars. No, at this close of an angle, he would be able to tell that they were not scars, and that would lead to her having to do a whole lot more explaining, more than she was willing to give at the moment.
Then, he looked into her eyes and asked her quite plainly about the school. Her first thought to be to scoff and tell him exactly what she thought, but catching herself before she said something too telling, and shrugging just a tiny bit...Her fingers resting calmly in her lap now, she would allow her gaze to hold his own before speaking up in that soft, gentle tone, though this time keeping it much more quiet than all the times before, given the closeness they now shared. "Well, for the past several months, the school has been under attack by these people known simply as...experiments. They have great power, and are able to break and destroy everything in their paths, if they desire. Yet they seem content with just attacking every now and then, never really causing any real damage."
She pursed her lips, making sure to word everything carefully from here on out. "The problem is...nobody is doing anything about it. The students are just looking the other way, too lazy to actually get up and fight, to try and figure out what is happening and overcome it. It is truly sad." And she meant that with every fiber of her being. It broke her heart to see how lazy and discouraging the students of this school could be.
"I know of only one student who has started trying to form a plan on how to strike back, and yet currently, he only has me to support him and I fear that may not be enough. Quite honestly, I worry about the fate of this school as of right now. If something is not done, then I fear that we may all end up experiments of some form or another." She blushed this time, her head ducking down just a bit as she gave a somewhat nervous little giggle.
"I am sorry. I started rambling again. But, that is basically what is going on, well otther than the football practices and random events that pop up every now and then." Nodding a bit as she cast her eyes upward toward him, peering at him through thick lashes once more.

"Well, for the past several months, the school has been under attack by these people known simply as...experiments. They have great power, and are able to break and destroy everything in their paths, if they desire. Yet they seem content with just attacking every now and then, never really causing any real damage."
Cain blinked. Experiments? A soft shudder would climb up Cain's spine, as he looked away for a brief moment. He remembered that he too had become an experiment at some point. It was a distant memory, but a memory that was etched into his mind nonetheless. It was the very day he had been appointed School Captain of #552. That night, his then romantic interest had been kidnapped, and while trying to stop the kidnappers, he too had been taken. And then, he had woken up in a cell, with Leanne, and two other males, Farren and Allen. And there, they were made to survive the worst conditions ever. In the very first hour, they had been sprayed with cold water, and they had almost died from hypothermia. Alas, he had survived, and he had to admit, he was stronger than when he had been taken.
Nonetheless, it was the start of #552's rebellion, and he defeated Jethro, the Headmaster and the man who had kidnapped him in the first place. Of course, what followed was something he did not expect. #552 would proceed to destroy itself.
"The problem is...nobody is doing anything about it. The students are just looking the other way, too lazy to actually get up and fight, to try and figure out what is happening and overcome it. It is truly sad."
He frowned, as he glanced away for a moment, staring down at the floor. It was evident that these experiments were doing a large amount of damage if it was the first thing that she talked about. That, or it was simply something that bothered her a lot. Either way, he was surprised that the students chose to do nothing about it. Considering their volatile nature, these teenagers often lashed at any threat towards their territory. But they were all looking away?
"I know of only one student who has started trying to form a plan on how to strike back, and yet currently, he only has me to support him and I fear that may not be enough. Quite honestly, I worry about the fate of this school as of right now. If something is not done, then I fear that we may all end up experiments of some form or another. I am sorry. I started rambling again. But, that is basically what is going on, well otther than the football practices and random events that pop up every now and then."
He shook his head. "No, it's alright. Thank you for the notice." At that, he let out a sharp exhale, shaking his head in clear disbelief. "Seems like I came to school at the wrong time, huh?" He turned back to her, giving a soft smirk. "Ah, hell. You say you're helping to handle the situation, right? Well, I guess I have to hold up to my promise as a friend. If you ever need my help, don't hesitate to call, alright?"

She had to admit, that it was really nice to have somebody offer to step up and help when and where it was needed, to be a friend. Though, of course, in the back of her mind, there was that ever present thought that the threats she spoke of was herself and Raven. But hell, what was she supposed to do? Pretend like the threat did not exist? Besides, she had already promised Cael that she would do what she could to help him against the very people that pulled her strings. So yeah...made sense to warn her new.....friend...against them. Right?
She thought so.
"Thank you so much. I have never really had anyone other than the boy I was raised with, offer to help me if I ever needed it." A smile still spread upon her lips as little fingers softly tucked her hair away behind her ear. She was not really aware that she had referred to Raven as "the boy she was raised with" but then, she was not about to call him her brother either. That would have been a lie, and as stated before, Azura did not lie unless she absolutely had to.
Granted, she probably should have in this instance, but she was finding that her guard was being let down more and more as she became more comfortable with the school and the people within it. She knew better, she really did, but that part of her that just longed to be....normal...kept allowing her to slip up, not thinking before she spoke.
"Maybe if you ever meet Cael, you could talk to him about what he has in mind. I mean, I just think he has more of a plan than I do really." She shrugged, biting her lower lip and blushing just slightly as she shifted upon that ledge, Her free hand moving to slowly tug down the skirt of her dress as the other twirled a lock of hair about her finger. An idle gesture, though also once that she did out of nervousness, seeing as how she wasn't entirely sure what else she should be doing in this moment.
"I would just be careful though. Some of those experiments are not as nice as others. They would rather kill you than listen to your side of the story or whatever." Sighing softly, her eyes lowering finally as her mind drifted to thoughts of Legion. Sure, Raven would just break them, and she herself would not attack unless she had to...but Legion, well he craved the blood and the death. The complete opposite of the angel girl who currently sat upon this ledge.

"Thank you so much. I have never really had anyone other than the boy I was raised with, offer to help me if I ever needed it."
Cain chuckled, before raising both of his hands up, allowing it to emphasize on the shrug he gave after her expression of gratitude. He would tilt his head at the same time, and just as fast as they came up, he would set them back down once again. "Eh, well, what are friends for, right?" Oh, just what was he getting himself into? He had been looking to just make his way through high school, doing whatever he wanted to do, and stay by himself. As luck would have it, he would end up meeting Azure the moment he stepped into school, and just like that, he made a friend. And not only a simple friend, not, but apparently someone who had a foot into a school situation.
Yeah... There really was never any running away from it, was there? Alas, Cain's loyalty was to his friends, and though Azure had yet to gain his trust, she had nonetheless earned his respect and recognition as a friend. He would be there, of course, if she needed him to be.
"Maybe if you ever meet Cael, you could talk to him about what he has in mind. I mean, I just think he has more of a plan than I do really."
Cael. Cain nodded his head, allowing the name to be placed within a memory folder, labelled 'Important Names'. He doubted that it would be long before he actually had the pleasure of meeting this specific student. Despite the size of the school, and its impressive population, it only took a few days for someone to have met everyone else around here. The hallways were just that populated, and though open was not the right word for it, but the students within the walls were far from shy. Well, most of them. Azure was one of those exceptions.
"Gotcha." He acknowledged, nodding his head. He would, of course, notice the twirling of the hair. Fortunately for her, he would find no misconception about the tell-tale of nervousness, but what he did find was that she was rather adorable doing as such. "I would just be careful though. Some of those experiments are not as nice as others. They would rather kill you than listen to your side of the story or whatever." Cain would blink, watching as she lowered her gaze. He took a deep breathe, before looking away once again, kicking out both of his legs and allowing his heels to gently bounce against the ledge.
"I'll be careful, don't worry. Besides, it's not like this is the first time I've encountered a killer." His voice would decrease in volume towards the end, as he glanced away from her. And then, his gut started to call out to him, as he allowed her words to repeat in his head. He furrowed his eyebrows, before turning back to her. Raising just one of those eyebrows, then, he tilted his head.
"You sound like you've met quite a number of them. Looks like you aren't as defenseless as you think after all, hmm?"

Her eyes were cast down, her finger wrapped within that lock of hair and her mind wandering back and forth between the topic at hand and the thoughts of all the stuff she was leaving out. Yet, when he spoke of this not being the first time he came in contact with a killer, her brow would furrow slightly and her eyes would shift toward him once more. "Not the fir--" Cut off as he turned to her, asking a question that sort of put her on the spot and left her uncertain of just what the heck to do or say.
Hazel eyes would widen just a bit, her finger ceasing in its twirling as she would race through her mind for a decent response to his question. "Well, when you are the quiet girl in the class, you tend to hear a lot more than people think you do. I have heard pretty much every possible rumor about these experiments...right down to how to identify one." Yup, throw away a bit of information in order to save yourself. That was her strategy, seeing as how it would practically crush her to lose a friend she had literally just made.
"Apparently, they all have these tattoos on them, with a number underneath it. Supposedly that is their experiment numbers." She nodded, shrugging just a bit as if to say she wasn't entirely sure. Instantly feeling that knot forming in her stomach as the guilt of having lied started to wash over her. Sure, it had just been a quick, barely there gesture that suggested she knew less than she really did, but when Azura said she didn't lie....well...she wasn't lying. She honestly could not handle the act, not unless she steeled herself against it. In this case, she had not.
One small hand leaving the skirt of her dress, it would flutter across her tummy, her flesh becoming just a little bit more pale than it already was as she shook her head. "Honestly, it is quite a lot to deal with. I mean, you never know what to expect from one day to the next. Very unsettling really." She nodded, her finger returning to toying with her hair, her lips curling into a slightly half-hearted smile as she sighed and would turn her head to cast a glance out over the courtyard which was beginning to empty as students hurried off to class and teachers who had been lurking outside, did the same.
"I always like it when it is like this. So quiet. I am not used to all the noise to be honest. Makes it very hard for me to think." She wasn't going to lie again, at least not right now, but she had to change the subject...this seemed like a good enough topic to shift to, though only time would tell if she had just made the whole situation worse than it already seemed to be getting.

"Well, when you are the quiet girl in the class, you tend to hear a lot more than people think you do. I have heard pretty much every possible rumor about these experiments...right down to how to identify one."
"Oh?" Cain would reply, both of his eyebrows coming up, a clear look of amazement on his face. That was rather impressive, collecting so much information like that. Well, he had to figure that it was easier for her. Being invisible wasn't all that bad. It made certain things like this so much easier. Not that Azure was invisible, no. At least, not to him. He released a single chuckle, a smirk coming upon his face.
"Apparently, they all have these tattoos on them, with a number underneath it. Supposedly that is their experiment numbers."
He nodded his head slowly, obviously paying attention to her. Despite his seemingly carefree attitude, Cain was actually pretty anal when it came to information. If he ever found himself curious about any particular issue, he would welcome any sort of information he could get about it. To say the least, these experiments had caught his interest, and he did want to know more about them. What he would do then after, though, was something only time could decide. All he was sure of, was that wherever Azure would be, his promise would put him beside her.
"Honestly, it is quite a lot to deal with. I mean, you never know what to expect from one day to the next. Very unsettling really. I always like it when it is like this. So quiet. I am not used to all the noise to be honest. Makes it very hard for me to think." Cain chuckled, before giving a soft shrug, placing his right hand atop her head for a moment, before letting it slide over in front, effectively messing her hair up, a soft smirk coming upon his face. The conversation was getting a bit too serious for his taste, though he knew that he had contributed to that change too. He slid off the ledge before she could do anything as payback. Then, he turned around, giving her a sly smirk.
"Hey, stop stressing up so much. You're not on your own anymore, remember?" He laughed, straightening himself as he placed both of his hands on his hips, the evident act of silliness obviously an attempt to cheer her up. At that, he calmed himself down, before looking over the ledge as well, his lips softening into a smile. His hands would slide down to his side, as he leaned against his left foot. "Yeah..."
Though... Could this potentially just be the calm before the storm?

When his hand came to rest atop her head, she would turn her eyes upward toward it, causing her to go just a little cross-eyed, if only for a moment. Then, out of nowhere, he went ahead and messed up her hair which she had spent the last half an hour or so trying to subtly put back into place...ever since that rather embarrassing fall to the ground in front of him.
A slight pout delivered, though it truthfully it was playful in nature, her nose wrinkling just slightly as she exhaled a rather heavy puff of air to try and blow her hair out of her line of sight. "Sorry, I sometimes tend to be a bit too serious." A little shrug before she would stick her tongue out at him, her chin lifting in the process and shoulders squaring away. Eventually, her hands would push against the ledge, bringing herself to stand as she dusted off the back of her skirt and then turned to look out over the courtyard one more time.
"So, since you seem to be the expert on lightening the mood, what do you want to talk about?" Her tone clearly teasing as she would grin, this time managing only a tiny blush. Once more her eyes cutting toward him as her hands folded together in front of her. To be honest, she wasn't all that great with "this is what I do for fun" type conversations, since she honestly had no clue what she did for fun. So, she supposed leaving it up to him to figure out, was by far the best option here.
"I mean, I don't think my exciting life of solitude will keep you very entertained for long. Though I can always tell you about the way I brush my hair exactly one hundred times every morning and every night." Oh if only she were lying, but she wasn't. Still, she would giggle rather light heartedly, making it a joke none the less. Her best attempt at lightening the mood a bit.

"Sorry, I sometimes tend to be a bit too serious."
Cain would let out a soft laughter, as he too shrugged, giving her a soft teasing smile. And then, with an almost sing-song voice, the man would reply. "Come on. You just made a new friend. Shouldn't you be more ecstatic than that." Cain was, of course, teasing her, simply trying to make her smile, realising that the conversation was getting too serious for a first-time meeting. Of course, he was used to such. In his past schools, his first meetings with people ended up bringing about serious issues, like tussles for school heirachy, tasks or, the smallest case among them, fights.
"So, since you seem to be the expert on lightening the mood, what do you want to talk about?" He smirked, adjusting his position so that the two stood side by side, overlooking the almost empty courtyard, filled with naught but late comers and students who, well, could care less about coming to class. Every school had its share of delinquents, some more than others. He wasn't sure what level of hostility the students here had, but considering that he had yet to get involved in a fight, as required of a newcomer in these kind of schools, he somehow perceived that this was a lot more peaceful than his past schools.
Well, generally.
"Hmmm..." He raised an eyebrow, allowing his mind to course along, trying to think of a simple topic to talk about. Something casual, and most of all, entertaining. "I mean, I don't think my exciting life of solitude will keep you very entertained for long. Though I can always tell you about the way I brush my hair exactly one hundred times every morning and every night."
Cain's eyes widened, as he turned towards her, leaning forward slightly, as if in shock. "A hundred times?!" He exclaimed, though anyone would be able to figure out that he was just kidding. He had lived with a few females in his time, and he knew that they could be rather picky about their appearance, especially their hair. At that, his expression would change from shock to a playful one, as he smirked. "I'm kidding, I'm kidding." And he straightened himself. "And you're doing it again. I'm sure your life has some exciting points too, right?" He chuckled, as he turned his gaze back to the courtyard.
"Hmm... What about..." Family? No. Usually, that was a common topic people talked about, but experience had taught Cain that more often than not, students in these schools had dysfunctional families. He was no different.
"Crushes." He smirked, turning to her. "Come on, there has to be at least one guy in this school you like, right? Maybe that Cael guy?"

Well, she was doing all fine and good, for the most part. Even managing to laugh at the mock expression of utter shock when she mentioned how many times she brushed her hair each morning and each night. A little nod given as she rolled her eyes just slightly. "Yes, one hundred times. Can't have this stunningly vibrant and radiant hair without taking care of it after all." A little giggle once more given, her eyes glancing up at him and then back to the courtyard which laid now vacant in front of them.
Then out of nowhere, came his topic of choice and to say that it caught her off guard would have been an understatement. Instantly her eyes would widen as a deep, pink blush would form on her cheeks. Though no sooner had he finished the first question then he would follow up with another...this one being a bit more personal than the last and receiving a response from her almost instantly. "No!" Of course, with a response that rushed and exclamatory it wasn't hard to tell that indeed she did have a crush on the previously mentioned boy.
The lie she had just told causing her stomach to cramp, though she was so caught up in her nervousness that she honestly didn't even notice.Though...she did have to admit that even now, when completely mortified by his question, she still could not keep up the lie for very long. Not when it was a person who was genuinely interested in being her friend. The last thing she ever wanted to do was lie to a friend. Something she would avoid when at all possible and something which she supposed she should at least put the the test here.
After all....weren't you supposed to be able to trust your friends?
She thought so.
"Alright, yes...I have a crush on him...A rather large one at that. H..He is the first boy I have ever really liked." She nodded, her fingers once more fidgeting with her dress, her mind rushing with thoughts and her heart fluttering inside her chest just at the mere thought of Cael. God, she had it so bad, she really needed to get over that...and fast. "But...I really don't think he knows I even exist. At least...not in that kind of way."
A slight shrug given before she would glance back up at him, that smile still on her lips though she was clearly struggling to recover from the line of questioning. "S..So...you have any special girls floating around out there? Or you more of a lone wolf type guy?"{/color] A little giggle given as she would softly nudge his arm with her own, trying her best to keep the mood of the conversation light and fun.

"No!"
Well, wasn't that just a large green stop sign? He raised both of his hands, holding it up by his sides, palm wide open and his upper body leaning back. Now, see, on Cain's part, that had been a completely random guess. He had only thrown it out because, well, it was honestly the only other name that Cain knew about from this school, hers being the first. And he had just been seeking to tease her, but it seemed that with his very first, and only possible guess, was right on the bullseye. He chuckled, raising an eyebrow. "Alright, sure." He swung both of his hands down, that smug grin on his face widening slightly. "Whatever you say." Nonetheless, this was not what Cain had expected.
She would calm down, though, and for a moment, Cain was worried that he might have hit a sensitive spot. He blinked, staring at her, waiting for her to say something. She was blushing quite deeply, and even Cain knew that sometimes poking too much would simply backfire on him.
"Alright, yes...I have a crush on him...A rather large one at that. H..He is the first boy I have ever really liked." Cain's eyes widened, as he, of course, listened intently to her. If she was going to wear her heart on her sleeve, then it was only respectful for her to listen. Nonetheless, he was surprised. He never expected her to open up to him so quickly. "But...I really don't think he knows I even exist. At least...not in that kind of way."
Cain scoffed, as he slotted his hands in the pockets of his hoodie. He looked away from her once again, gazing out into the scenery before them. "Really? That's a pity."
"S..So...you have any special girls floating around out there? Or you more of a lone wolf type guy?" His smile faded away almost instantly, his eyes still staring out into space. Floating around? Oh, probably. He had had his fair share of relationships, sure, but every single one seemed to end up stabbing him in the back, or simply disappearing off the face of the earth. He took a deep breathe, before forcing himself to release a chuckle, as he shook his head. Then, a soft smile came upon his face.
"Nah. I'm just unlucky."

She noticed the way that the look on his face changed when she asked about his love life, or lack there of. Instantly she regretted asking, but just as she opened her mouth to apologize he would offer up another smile and shake his head slightly. Though when he finally answered, she had to scoff at the idea..rolling her eyes just a bit as she folded her arms across her chest lightly.
"I seriously doubt that. I mean, you are a really nice guy, from what I have seen so far, and incredibly handsome." She blushed a bit and nervously shifted one hand to tuck her hair back behind her ears, having spoken before she fully thought through what she was going to say, once more resulting in her being a bit too honest. "I just mean...well that any girl would be lucky to go out with you or...whatever." Yeah, she had no clue how the whole relationship thing worked, esp since she had never really been in one, other than with Legion and that was anything but conventional.
Slowly she would begin to twirl a lock of hair about her finger, her tongue slowly tracing over her lower lip as she looked back to the courtyard once more, drawing in a deep breath as a soft, cool breeze washed over the rooftop. Her free hand moving down to grasp her skirt, making sure it didn't get too carried away.
"So, what do you usually do for fun?" Supposing that this was a good topic that could not possibly lead to bad stuff. Though, if it was turned back on her, it very well could. She didn't have the most "normal" of lives, and so a lot of standard questions got some pretty sad answers from her. Even when she didn't mean for them to come out as such. But! It was worth a shot at least!

"I seriously doubt that. I mean, you are a really nice guy, from what I have seen so far, and incredibly handsome."
Cain raised a right eyebrow, his gaze rolling back to her as he tilted his head forward. He released a soft and amused chuckle, not having expected such a sudden compliment from the girl. To say the least, she had been constantly surprising him with every exchange they had. "Uhm, thank you." He replied, a wide smile planted upon his lips. She would continue, though, this time forcing a soft blush to come upon Cain. He pulled his right hand out of his pocket, swinging it to the back of his head, his four fingers scratching his cranium.
"I just mean...well that any girl would be lucky to go out with you or...whatever."
"Haha, yeah, I get you." He lowered his hand, giving her a warm smile. He scoffed, then, before giving her a soft shrug. "Yeah, it's not actually getting the girl that's the problem for me." He blinked, his smile fading away slightly as he allowed his words to run through his head. Well... Wasn't that quite cocky? He quickly raised his right hand, waving it side to side. "I'm not being arrogant, no. It's, uhm..." He lowered his hand. "It's more of things just turning bad whenever I get into a relationship, both for me, her and everyone else around us." He nodded his head slowly, allowing himself to explain what he meant earlier, his eyes drifting off to the ledge before the two of them.
Well, this had turned into quite a solemn conversation, hmm? And it was Cain's fault too. It was his reply that had dampened the mood, but alas, it seemed that Azure would do a quick recovery, inquiring what the brown-haired male did for entertainment. He blinked, before looking up at her. And then, he diverted his gaze up to the sky, as he brought his right hand up to tap his chin. "Well... I don't have a specific hobby per say. I mean, sure, I love trying out new stuff, especially activities that get the blood rushing, but sometimes, I just like lazing the day away." Cain chuckled, before fixated his eyes on hers. "Sounds boring, doesn't it?"

Her brow furrowed slightly as she debated on what he was saying. A little nod given, even though she really didn't understand the whole dating thing and how it could turn so bad that it always ended badly for him. But she supposed that, given the way her life had turned out, she could see it. Her fingers lightly twisting and fidgeting about each other, she would run her tongue slowly along her lips and cast her gaze back out over the courtyard, allowing her mind to wander, not entirely sure what to say to his words. "Well, I am sure it will work out for you one day. Just have to find a stubborn girl that wont let anything get in the way." She gave a firm little nod just then, pretty sure that was what would solve his little problem.
Though then there was another shift in the conversation, and as he told her about what he liked to do, she would chuckle softly and shake her head just a bit. "Nope, doesn't sound boring to me at all. I love doing that most of the time actually." Yeah, her life was so full of ups and downs, that any chance she got to just sit and laze the day away, she was happy as a clam.
Shifting to move toward the ledge once more, crawling up onto it and standing there, no looking down toward the Earth below, she would lightly brush her hands back and forth along the sides of her skirt. "Sometimes just being lazy is the only real thing to do that worth doing I think." Smiling a bit more brightly and looking back over her shoulder toward him, nodding once more.
